About this property

This spacious guest home next to our family property is surrounded by rolling hills with plenty of parking and a lawn area for outdoor games. A screened in gazebo is perfect for a late afternoon nap several months of the year. Located just 3 miles from Interstate 81 makes it convenient to drive to your destination of choice. Hershey Park is 20 minutes away, LVC is 6 minutes, In the Net is 15 minutes, and Harrisburg is 35 minutes away. Our guest house is perfect for large groups as we have a large kitchen space, living room, beautiful sunroom overlooking the rolling hills, and a large finished basement that can help guests spread out a bit. The washer and dryer are located in the basement in the half bathroom.

My family said it was one of the nicest places we have stayed in and we have been all over the country. Size was great, close to everything we wanted to do but yet very private. House was very clean and well equipped.

Country setting

We had a great stay. This houses location was perfect for our needs. There are stairs to get to the main living space/shower but there is a room and toilet that could be used with no stairs if you need a space like that. Over all we were very happy with this property. We had 3 reens and 3 adults and had more than enough room.

A treasure in a small community

The house was exactly as shown and described, but also so much more. The property and the area were peaceful and restful while being close to what we needed or wanted to do. The house was also clearly set up for travelers and met all of our needs. A wonderful place to stay and we would definitely stay here again for longer if in the area in the future.

Beautiful quiet country

We would definitely come back to this house. You could tell the owner was making every effort to have us feel like welcome guests. So many amenities were provided. Our favorite room was the sunroom where we played many games, so many in the house!! Also completed a puzzle, also there!! Bathrooms were small but adequate . Very comfortable furniture and the kitchen was well stocked for our cooking.

One Of Our Best Rentals Ever

Of all the properties we have rented, this was the cleanest, most maintained and well stocked experienced. Although it is in a beautiful quiet country setting, grocery stores, restaurants, and others are only 10 to 20 minutes away. It is a great respite if you are planning to go to Hershey Park - about 20 minutes away. We only had 5 adults stay but there is room and supplies for many more.

The best house!

Cozy house with a homey feel, so comfortable with lots of space. We had two families and never felt as if we were on top of each other. It was 5 min from the fields our kids were playing at so it was great to be able to have a place to go to in between games. The fire flies at night were the best, love seeing those. Communication with owners was the best I have experienced. They worked with us on checkin and checkout times to help accommodate our flights. Would highly recommend this house to others.

My three sisters and I plan an annual trip, and this year we chose PA., Hershey area. This house was a good central location for Hershey, Mt. Gretna, Lancaster, and more. The house was spacious, we each had our own room. There were plenty of necessities well stocked. We had two vehicles, there was plenty of room for more. We had a little trouble loading Netflix, but Barb took care of that. I highly recommend this Vrbo.

Great Experience Overall! Highly Recommend!

The whole check-in process was very easy! The pre-trip communication and during the stay were both ideal! The house was super clean. There were games for our kids to play. The outdoor space was great. We took advantage of that and played cornhole, kan jam and other games outside. We used the grill & picnic table as well - both came in very handy. They had waters in the fridge for us and snacks in the kitchen waiting for us. Definitely would stay here again if we were in the area. The owners were so nice and really care about the property and their guests.

Hershey Family Vacation

This property was great for us! It is in a great location. We had a few problems, but it was taken care of as quickly as possible. The owner was VERY responsive to our needs. It was a great time and I can't wait to go back one summer soon. We had a phase 10 tournament as well as battleship. Cooking was a breeze because the kitchen was stocked nicely. I only had to go to the store to get what we were going to cook. Condiments and everything were available. It was a great place. Plenty of room.

About the host

We have lived next door to this property for nearly 40 years. We have had all kinds of fun farm animals over the years and currently love to run our two standard poodles in the pastures everyday. We enjoy a variety of outdoor activities after we tend to our unique non-profit that we support out of our home. We have traveled to many places throughout our adult lives and have especially enjoyed when we can connect with people who live where we are traveling. We look forward to meeting our guests when possible!

Why they chose this property

This property is part of the history of our home farm. We purchased it when our son got married on the hill behind the house realizing that there were few options in our area for people to find accessible short term housing. Even though options have expanded over the last few years, we know that it is sometimes still difficult to find something affordable for families who want to enjoy the offerings of the Hershey area. We look forward to sharing our beautiful countryside with visitors.

What makes this property unique

The property is centrally located to many local attractions and events in the Lebanon Valley such as Hershey Park, concerts, sports tournaments, antique car shows. We are located just a few miles south of I-81 giving us easy access for many travelers.
