Beautiful Country House - Amazing View - Near Perugia

Villa Bianconi is a remote farmhouse surrounded by olive groves, forests, and unspoiled nature, nestled in the green hills of Umbria.

The villa was built in the 14th Century, and served as watchtower due to it's unbelievable views. Over time, the structures on the property have undergone a number of renovations and updates.

The nearest village is Castelleone, at 2 km away. Villa Bianconi's remote location allows for peace and quiet that is a real rarity in modern time--the house is an island in the middle of the noisy hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Once you are fully recharged, you can take in the beauty of Perugia, a rich cultural gem within 20 minutes drive. The city's major highlight is the annual Umbria Jazz Festival, which hosts some of the greatest names in jazz.

Assisi, Spello, Foligno, Gubbio, Spoleto and even Rome (150 km) can be easily reached from the Villa Bianconi.

Lake Trasimeno is just 150 km from the door and offers excellent bathing facilities, and the beautiful Tuscan beaches are just a stone's throw away. The Adriatic coast is just 1.5 hours away and is perfect for a day trip.

The house accommodates 5-6 people, with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen with washing machine, and a large lounge with an open fireplace. It features gas central heating and hot and cold running water.

The highlight of the property is definitely the view of the Tiber Valley--and you can soak it all in from the veranda under the shade of the vines of the pergola.

Wonderful stay in Castelleone

Peaceful, comfortable, beautiful views, loved staying in this country house. Communication and very specific directions to the house were needed before i left for this trip so i could print a hardcopy and use my phone for navigation. Local friend came to our rescue and was very helpful!

Tolles Landhaus mit überwältigender Aussicht

Wir durften 2 Wochen im schönen Landhaus von Laura Conte verbringen. Das Haus ist groß und mit allem ausgestattet, was wir brauchten. Hier hatten wir absolute Ruhe, was großartig war. Das beste war die Lage auf einem Hüfel mit sensationeller Aussicht.Auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung.

Wunderbares kleines Paradies in den Hügeln

Tolles Haus in idyllischer Lage mit unglaublicher Aussicht. Man kann tolle Sonnenuntergänge sehen und die Ruhe genießen. Laura ist eine sehr nette Gastgeberin, die hier ein kleines Paradies geschaffen hat. Wir haben uns in der herzlichen Atmosphäre sofort sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder! .

Wunderbares Ferienhaus in der umbrischen Natur.

Für alle zu empfehlen, die die Natur in Umbrien genießen möchten- herrliche Umgebung! Sehr nette und hilfreiche Gastgeberin. Alles im Haus vorhanden, was man für einen Urlaub benötigt. Mit dem Auto alle Sehenswürdigkeiten in Umbrien gut zu erreichen.

Wonderful

Traumhaft schön auf dem Berg mit weiten Blicken, Sonnenuntergang, Natur mit vielen Wegen zum Wandern und schönen Städten überall. Das Haus ist wirklich toll gebaut und eingerichtet, auch für viele Leute. Laura war sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit.

Beautiful Hilltop location

This is a lovely house on top of a hill, with great views. The house is well equipped and the view from the livingroom of the sunset was simply incredible! Communications with the owner and property manager were very straightforward . The directions to the house were very clear, but just to be sure we were met by the property manager who guided us straight to the door of the house. This was a great location for us to explore the region a bit. Be sure to visit the old castle area in nearby Casteliogne!

Fantastic stay in Deruta!

We had a wonderful time at Laura's fabulous home. We were a group of seven friends who love to be in the outdoors, and the house acted as a perfect base to explore the surrounding nature and Umbra. The house is very functional, has everything to cook, and we felt at ease with the place and the house's location. Laura is a fantastic host, very responsive to our demands for places to visit or for specific home related requests. She was so nice and friendly that we even invited her for dinner and had a great time. We felt as though we had known each other for a long time. We all strongly recommend this house, and we intend to return next year.

Ferien in Umbrien

Wir haben einen wunderbaren Landurlaub, eingebettet in eine malerische umbrische Landschaft, verbracht. Auch bei größerer Hitze sorgt ein durchgehender milder Luftzug für eine natürliche Klimatisierung. Im Haus trägt die schöne Terrakotta-Ausstattung auch dazu bei. Günstig ist auch die Lage zwischen der Valle Umbra un dem Tibertal, sodass die historisch wichtigen Zentren alle in 30-45 Minuten erreicht werden können.

Schitterend Umbrië!

Het huis ligt boven op een berg en heeft een adembenemend mooi uitzicht. Het is sfeervol ingericht en is van alle gemakken voorzien. De bedden slapen uitstekend. De twee badkamers hebben een prima douche. ‘S avonds op het terras zitten met een goed glas wijn en kijken naar het geweldige uitzicht en de zonsondergang Is een fantastische belevenis ! Het huis is een prima uitvalsbasis om alle mooie steden en dorpjes van Umbrië te bezoeken, zoals Assisi, Todi, Spello, Gubbio, Perugia, Bevagna, Cortona etc. De eigenaresse Laura is zeer vriendelijk en erg behulpzaam. We hebben drie weken lang genoten van het huis en de geweldige omgeving !

Zwei Wochen Erholung pur

Wir konnten mit unseren zwei Kindern im August zwei wunderbare Wochen in Umbrien verbringen. Das Ferienhaus ist sehr einsam gelegen und das Navi unseres Autos gab irgendwann auf, aber Dank der Beschreibung der Vermieterin konnten wir das Haus gut finden. Auch die Ruhe, die wir gesucht hatten, konnten wir hier finden. Außer Grillen, Vögeln, Insekten und nachts ab und an bellenden Hunden in der Ferne konnten wir absolute Ruhe genießen. Das Haus ist inmitten von Wäldern und Olivenhainen gelegen. Von der Terrasse aus hat man einen fantastischen Ausblick und auch unsere Kinder haben sich hier sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt. Im Haus ist alles vorhanden, was man benötigt und Frau Conte stand uns jederzeit mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Vielen Dank, Frau Conte, dass wir eine so wunderbare Zeit bei Ihnen verbringen durften und kommen gerne wieder.

Landhaus in traumhafter Alleinlage

Wir haben 12 wunderschöne Tage im Juli in diesem Ferienhaus verbracht. Man hatte nach 3 Seiten eine fantastische Aussicht. Abends gab es spektakuläre Sonnenuntergänge und danach einen beeindruckenden Sternenhimmel. Aufgrund der Coronakrise hatten die von der Vermieterin empfohlenen Restaurants in der näheren Umgebung leider geschlossen. So mussten wir häufig selbst kochen und dafür war die Küche etwas sparsam eingerichtet. Ein großer Topf wäre hilfreich gewesen. Aber insgesamt: Absolut empfehlenswert auch als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen oder Städtetouren.

Not what we expected

The property was very rustic but a better description would be “run down”. We thought we were staying in a lovely villa type home in the vineyards but it turned out to be a very neglected and out dated guest home in the middle of nowhere. The one redeeming aspect was the wonderful views, but had we known that it was a 20 minute drive to civilization, I don’t think we would have picked this place. The home looks like it is close to a village or stores on the home away website but it is seriously WAY out there. Other frustrating things about the property: there were only hand towels and maybe two very small bath towels for our family of six. When I texted the owner, she said that she was out of the country and someone would bring towels over, but no one did, so we ended up using bedsheets to dry off after showering. My college age sons are over 6’ tall so the little bath towels and bidet towels were a sad joke. Yes, bidet towels were provided for our showers—Old towels that were small and didn’t smell nice. There was a storm the first night and a tree fell across the road and if we hadn’t had some strong young adults with us we would have been stuck at the resistance. I was most disappointed by the inaccurate claim that the property had an oven. It DOES NOT have an oven, but a small toaster oven which wouldn’t work to cook a Christmas dinner or a lasagna which we had planned on. We also had to go use a washing machine in town for our clothes because it was old and locked our clothes inside. And it’s not because we couldn’t read the directions become my son lived in Italy for two years and is fluent in Italian. I read many reviews about this property that were all positive, so I’m confused about what went wrong with our stay. I think if the host had been in town, things may have been different and I think if we had stayed in the summer time it might have been a little better. It was cold and drafty and we had to pay extra for the heat and there were no extra blankets. We had to open the windows to try and get fresh air to vent when we made a fire, and several large spiders cane in when we opened the storm windows. There were numerous other creatures in the house and my daughter started naming the crickets and “daddy long leg” spiders in the bathrooms. We would not stay in this home again. It looked so cute in the pictures but it really needs some help: new beds, new linens, cleaner facilities.

Bellissima casa in mezzo al verde

Ein wunderbar gelegenes Haus

Das Haus liegt auf einer Anhöhe und hat gigantische Aussichten. Die Sonnenuntergänge sind spektakulär. Und in der weiteren Umgebung gibt es fantastische Ziele, für Menschen, die Kunst lieben. Assisi und Perugia sind nicht weit, und auch die anderen Städte bieten wirklich Sehenswertes.

Traumhafter Ort und sehr schönes, helles Haus

Wir waren hin und weg als wir zum ersten Mal zum Haus auf dem Hügel kamen. Wunderschöne Sicht, Natur rings herum. Und im Haus haben wir uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Es ist sehr hell, freundlich und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Alles ist da, was man braucht. In den Betten haben wir so gut geschlafen wie nie, was zum einen an den bequemen Matratzen, insbesondere aber an der wohltuenden Stille gelegen haben mag. Die Hausbesitzerin ist sehr nett und stets hilfsbereit (da sie fließend deutsch spricht, hat sie uns z.B. Hilfe geleistet, als unser Auto in der Werkstatt war und wir eine Übersetzerin brauchten). Wir möchten dieses Haus und diesen Ort unbedingt weiter empfehlen!

Ein Haus für den Sommer in Umbrien

Wir (4 Erwachsene) haben wunderbare Ferien in Umbrien verbracht. Das Haus und seine Umgebung sind traumhaft, die Besitzerin sehr hilfsbereit und herzlich, bei der Ankunft wurden wir ebenfalls sehr nett empfangen. Statt im Ort zu frühstücken, haben wir stets auf der Terrasse gegessen, unter blauem Himmel, inmitten von grünen Hügeln und mit einem tollen Panorama. Am liebsten hätten wir gleich den gesamten Sommer dort verbracht... Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber, und ums Haus kann man sich wunderbar entspannen auf dem Liegestuhl oder der Wiese - und der duftende Lindenbaum im Garten ist das Tüpfelchen auf dem i. Auch der nahegelegene kleine Ort Deruta ist hübsch (Altstadt) und bietet alles, was man für den Aufenthalt benötigt (Supermarkt, Post, Restaurants und jede Menge Keramik-Läden). Wir werden bestimmt wiederkommen und können dieses Haus von ganzen Herzen jedem empfehlen, der gerne etwas abgelegen wohnt und über ein Auto verfügt. Die Lage ist auch ein guter Ausgangspunkt für den Besuch von all den hübschen Städtchen in Umbrien, von denen wir viele gesehen haben, der Weg dorthin ist nicht weit.

Schmuckstück

Wir verbrachten 4 Wochen im April in der „villa bianconi“. Die Lage des Hauses, auf einem Hügel inmitten der umbrischen Landschaft von anderen sanften Hügeln umgeben, ist sicherlich einmalig. Der Blick in die Ferne ist traumhaft. Von der Terrasse kann man den großartigen Blick in die unmliegende Hügellandschaft genießen. Das Haus liegt abgelegen und einsam in mitten von Olivenfeldern und Eichenwäldern, durch die sich zahlreiche Wege ziehen. Mit dem Fahrrad/Mountainbike kann man wunderbar direkt vom Haus aus etliche schöne Touren starten. Auch Perugia oder Assisi sind nicht weit und ein Tagesausflug lohnt sich. Das Haus selbst ist sehr stilvoll und liebevoll eingerichtet. Es eignet sich für Paare ebenso, wie für Familien mit Kindern. In dem großen Garten kann man selbst kleine Kinder wunderbar krabbeln/laufen lassen. Die Vermieterin ist sehr hilfsbereit und bemüht! Wir haben den netten Kontakt zu ihr sehr genossen und möchten uns an dieser Stelle nochmals ganz herzlich für all ihre Hilfe und Unterstützung bedanken! Fam. Seyboth

Traumhaus...

Wir verbrachten Anfang Oktober 2014 (leider nur) eine Woche in dem wunderbaren Haus und ich weiß - soviel sei voraus geschickt - nur Gutes zu berichten! Die Lage des Hauses ist atemberaubend auf einem Hügel in der schönen umbrischen Landschaft von anderen sanften Hügeln umgeben. Der Blick in die Ferne ist traumhaft. Auch im Inneren des Hauses hat man durch die großen hellen Fenster einen schönen Blick in die Weite. Das Haus liegt sehr abgelegen und einsam in mitten von Olivenfeldern und Eichenwäldern, durch die sich zahlreiche Wege ziehen. Man kann also wunderbar von dort aus los laufen und die Gegend erkunden. Das Haus selbst ist ein Traum. Das alte Gebäude wurde mit mit sensibler Sorgfalt von innen renoviert und am Kopf ist ein großer sehr schöner Raum mit offenem Kamin, großem Esstisch, viel Licht und einigen gemütlichen Sitzplätzen entstanden, der über einige Stufen in die gut ausgestattete Küche übergeht. Im restlichen Gebäudeteil befinden sich drei einfache, aber schöne Schlafzimmer und zwei Bäder, die ebenfalls mit Liebe eingerichtet sind. Diese Liebe zum Detail spürt man übrigens im ganzen Haus. Vor dem großen Raum befindet sich eine kleine Terrasse mit großartigem Blick über die Hügellandschaft. Wir hatten Glück mit dem Wetter und konnten viel Zeit im großen Garten verbringen. Aber selbst bei schlechtem Wetter fühlt man sich im großen Raum nicht eingeengt, da dieser, wie gesagt viel Licht hat. Die Vermieterin war übrigens sehr bemüht uns (telefonisch) offene Fragen zu beantworten, oder den Ablauf zu organisieren. Ich möchte mich auch nochmal hier ganz herzlich für Ihre Hilfe bedanken! In der Gegend gibt es derart viel zu erkunden, dass wir sicher nur einen winzigen Bruchteil zu sehen bekommen haben. Allerdings haben wir auch viel Zeit in Ruhe im häuslichen Garten verbracht. Ein Muss ist allerdings die Stadt Perugia, die schnell zu erreichen ist und schon lange meine italienische Lieblingsstadt ist. In Deruta, das etwa zehn Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt liegt, gibt es Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants. Abschließend gibt es zu sagen: Wir haben den Urlaub im Haus wirklich sehr genossen, haben uns dort in der Ruhe sehr erholt und planen auf jeden Fall mal wieder dort hin zu fahren. Wer einen ruhigen Platz in schöner landschaftlicher Umgebung sucht mit einem Haus, das Persönlichkeit hat und liebevoll gestaltet wurde und (zumindest uns) keine Wünsche offen ließ, dem kann ich das Haus mit gutem Gewissen empfehlen.

What makes this property unique

The view from the house is extraordinary. You can feel the calming power of nature as soon as you arrive, and everyone that steps foot on the property leaves a different person--more relaxed and in touch with the truth of who they are.

It was love at first sight when we arrived at the property for the first time, 20 years ago. We have since dedicated our time to restoring and renovating the old farmhouse buildings to make them a combination of modern convenience and old world charm.
