"Plumeria Hale" is a bright and airy second story, two-bedroom condo with partial ocean views, located a short walk to the beach. Named after the delicate and beautiful plumeria flower, the space is inspired by the hues of creams, yellows and oranges typical of the flower as well as the blues and greens of the nearby ocean and surrounding lush coconut tree forest.

The central location on Kauai’s eastern shore make this the perfect Kauai vacation rental. Easy walking distance to shops, beaches and restaurants makes this Kauai beach side condo a truly convenient place for your Kauai vacation rental. Located next door to the Coconut Grove at Waipouli, one of the largest coconut groves on the island where Hawaiian Royalty once went horseback riding.Located along the Ke Ala Hele Makalae Bike path!

The kitchen and dining area has double glass doors opening up to a cozy lanai where you can enjoy the ocean breeze and catch a glimpse of the ocean through the trees on each side of the resort located in front. Enjoy cooking and eating meals to the soothing sounds of the ocean with lots of natural light coming in. The kitchen has beautiful wood cabinets and is equipped with oven, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, toaster oven, blender, electric kettle, coffee maker and other amenities. Beach Gear provided includes: Beach towels, chairs, umbrella, cooler.

The Living room offers a smart TV with cable and DVR. Spectrum high speed internet is also included. The windows face the mountain side and offer partial mountain and coconut tree forest views.

The primary bedroom, decorated in calm and dreamy blues has a new king size bed and a half bath. It’s windows face the ocean and you can hear the waves as you fall asleep.

The guest bedroom, decorated in greens and browns, faces the mountain side and also offers partial mountain and coconut tree views. This bedroom can be set up as two twins or a king bed ($52 housekeeping fee applies for king conversion and bedding). It offers a closet and ceiling fan.

A coin operated washer and dryer are available at the property. No tennis court on property.

This cozy 2nd floor end unit apartment with approximately 632 square feet of living area is close to shopping and restaurants. We recommend renting a car so that you are able to explore this beautiful island freely.

**This is not a resort property; No Pool, No AC, No Tennis, No Elevator. If you are looking for an affordable, clean and convenient rental, this is the perfect spot. If you are looking for an upscale resort with a pool and resort facilities, we recommend a different rental property.

Great little place

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cute little condo. Was well stocked for all of our needs. Even provided us with beach towels and beach chairs. Was only a short walk to a wonderful beach and very close access to EVERYTHING we could need (stores, shops, food, etc). Some things to note: This place is not very big. It was fine for what we needed, but it is small. The kitchen table is tiny and would be very challenging to try to sit around. There is no AC and windows need to be open. Normally this is delightful but the roosters and chickens cluck and crow all night and VERY early in the morning. Many people feed them right outside the window so they are abundant. Still give 5 stars overall for our stay.

Roosters by the sea

We enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back again! Comfortable condo close to shopping and beaches. No need for an alarm clock! Got plenty of rooster’s to wake ya up at 3am😂😂😂 all jokes aside we had a great stay! Highly recommend!

Positives - Good for family of 4, fully equipped kitchen, nice patio, good size room, proximity to market, nice walkable path to beach, free parking. Extras - Beach chairs and umbrella. Nice to have these so you don't have to rent. One thing to remember as shown in pictures, that the ocean can be seen from the kitchen. But it's not clearly visible. So this is really not completely beach facing.

Sometimes the pictures online look better than the actual property. But this was not the case for our stay here. The apartment was very clean. Everything was in very good repair. We loved the decor. We loved the location. We loved having a combo lock on the front door so we did not have to keep up with a key.

Apartment rental

The apartment was clean, and worked out well for me and my daughter. We rented a car, which allowed us to move around the island during the day and go to beaches where we could snorkel. The beach near the apartment was not a swimming beach. There is a nice bike path that goes by the apartment. And the Safeway is across the street.

Fantastic condo

The place is really fantastic. We hear a bit the neighbors and the chickens are very noisy at night, but we get use to it. The only thing you need to do is replace completely or wash and disinfect the bathroom body and hair soap dispensers are the products are completely roten and smell bad. we didn't use them but I can imagine how bad of a bacteria you can get from contaminated soaps. Refilling is a bit tricky for keeping the product safe as it can easily get contaminated and disinfection of the container needs to happen.

Bad experience

We have stayed in VRBOs all over the world including 2 others in Kauai and this one was most expensive and least desirable. Very dirty. With a serious deep clean and some new paint and fresh bathroom makeover this could be an excellent property. As it stands though I wouldn’t recommend.

Beautiful Kauai

The condo was very clean and provided all the basic necessities. I liked the bright and colorful decor, made it cheery yet homey. Located close to the beach and central to where we wanted to be. Free WiFi, parking and Roku TV was a plus.

Delightful time

We had a delightful time staying at this condo in Kapaa. It is located close to the beach, shopping, the main highway, and good places to eat. I think what we enjoyed the most was having a comfortable place to call our own while visiting this beautiful place.

It was also easy to get to all the different locations on the island. I am glad that we chose to stay here instead of the North side of the Island.We went to the Sheraton beach at the back of the property to see the sunrise. There were beach chairs, beach umbrellas and coolers for drinks provided in the unit.The bathroom had bodywash, shampoo and conditioner. There were lizards outside the property but I never noticed any bugs, lizards or insects inside the rental. We made sure not to leave any open snack or food out. All the necessary kitchen utensils were also available. Only thing missing was a drying rack because we were handwashing the dishes, but that would take up counter space so I understand why they didn't have that.

I had to contact the property manager because I left my phone (door code on the app) and received a return call in a matter of minutes so that I could regain entry. Thank goodness for google in finding the contact info. and my son for always having his phone on him! The property has in a great location, walking distance to coffee, the beach and shopping. Neighbors are quiet and the unit has everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Thank You!

Kapaa Town stay

This property provided an good stay for our trip to Kauai. The rental was clean, well maintained, and furnished with everything we needed. We liked the beach chairs , beach towels, and coolers. We liked that we were close to grocery stores, restaurants, shops, and beaches. The downside to this stay was that the walls were thin....meaning that we could hear the neighbors next to us and below us quite easily. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful area to sleep, this is not it because there are lots of people on the walking trail, cars, delivery trucks, bikes, etc. (We did get used to the roosters.) We liked Kapaa's location on the island, though, because it was easy to get to the airport, and travel either south or north. We liked exploring the area of Wailua River, hiking in Waimea Canyon, visiting water falls, boat tour up the Na pali Coast, and visiting many beaches. Our favorite beaches were on the North side of the island.
