About this property
Invisible House by Contemporary Hotels
Perched high on a Blue Mountains cliff top, this is your gateway to one of Australia's most exquisite pockets of natural beauty. With cliffs that glow scarlet at nightfall, and a property designed to maximise natural light, Invisible House provides the ultimate backdrop for your relaxation.
Designed over three years by renowned architects Peter Stuchbury, the interiors blend futuristic design with environmental sensibility. After rainfall, the skylight catches the water and transforms in a design feature, with the natural movement of water on the roof filtering the light to create a dramatic effect.
An open plan living area welcomes guests into the home with open arms. Five bedrooms allows you to comfortably sleep up to 12 guests at any time of year, two combustion wood fireplaces, and an outdoor fire pit ensuring a cosy getaway even in the winter months. The designer kitchen will delight your inner chef, inviting guests to prepare gourmet meals to be enjoyed in the outdoor entertaining areas with bushland views that extend to the horizon.
Invisible House is the pride of the Blue Mountains, a secluded oasis hidden amongst the gum trees that make city life feel like it's never been further away.
What the Owners Love
The house was designed with natural light in mind, showcasing the best of the surrounding area and the features of the property itself. Set in a secluded area, Invisible House is perfect for a getaway with friends or the extended family. Stock up on fresh food and good wine, and spend a long weekend indulging with the crackle of the fireplace and the abundant local wildlife as the soundtrack for a memorable getaway.
What We Love
While it's hard to take your eyes away from the natural beauty surrounding the property, the home's design is truly a marvel in its own right. Relax in the bath with stunning full-length window views across the mountains, before gathering friends and family in the open-planned indoor and outdoor entertainment areas.
What the Family Loves
Spend a day exploring nearby Jenolan Caves, one of the world's most spectacular limestone formations. The nine caves are among the oldest on record, and feature sparkling underground rivers, and collections of stalactites and stalagmites. Back above ground, take to the many bush walking trails around the property to try and catch a glimpse of unique flora and fauna, including kangaroos and koalas.
