The property itself was in a wonderful location. Right on the lake yet close to everything you would want to do in and on Lake Tahoe. We were very impressed with our accommodations and Nanette, the property owner, was gracious and communicative. We would highly recommend this property, even in the off season. Loved it!
The studio is located so close to the lake with perfect views, I'm not sure I would have wanted to stay elsewhere. It was a perfect "home base" for hiking, going to the beach, or kayaking. Having 2 kayaks on the property was a definite perk.
Thank you for a great stay!
Mark and Nanette were wonderful to rent from and stayed in contact with us regarding the snow storm and power outages our first day in Lake Tahoe. Great location and easy to find. We loved making breakfast while getting to see the lake view.
It was not clear from the online listing that this was a studio apartment. But it was very nice for a studio apartment. I just wish it would have had a lake view.
Our stay at this property was a mixed experience. On the positive side, the location is very central and the neighborhood is quiet. The dock area is the highlight of this property – it's peaceful, serene, and an excellent spot to watch the sunset, offering a much-needed respite from the day's activities.
However, the property itself left much to be desired in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. The view of the lake is minimal and very obstructed, which was a bit of a letdown. More importantly, the cleanliness was far below acceptable standards. We found hair from previous guests on the comforter and in the shower, dead insects and spiders in various places, and brown stains on the wall by the toilet. Additionally, there were several dust and hair bunnies on the floor, making it hard to relax and enjoy the space.
There were also some maintenance issues. The water filter in the fridge needs replacing, and the water doesn't pour well from it. Moreover, the host asked us to replace the batteries in the CO2 monitor ourselves upon arrival. The checkout instructions required us to empty the trash, which added to the feeling that guests are expected to clean up for the next visitors.
The finishes in the property are nice, but it's clear that it needs some TLC. Overall, we stayed here for two nights, but I don't think I could have handled a longer stay. With some attention to these areas, this property could be a much more pleasant place to stay.
My husband and I spent our first vaca without kids in 5 years here at Nanette’s studio. It was a great location and perfect for what we needed. Neighborhood is quiet and right on the water. Thank you for a perfect escape!
Loved the location and all the amenities of this cute modern studio. Everything was brand new and in tip-top condition. It is a great location for people who want to explore the coastline while escaping the crowds. There is one really comfortable
King bed, perfect for a couple or single traveler. Nanette was easy to reach and communicate with. We would definitely return again. The beach area was perfect for people who want to kayak or paddle board and explore the east shore.
Cute studio, clean property, good view. Would not advise staying there in the winter unless you are experienced at snow driving or you have a 4-wheel drive, steep entrance to property and driveway. Very low water pressure. Tried to use the oven to bake some snacks but during the preheating process the flames from the broiler area were so big they caught some drippings on fire,( I would assume from some one prior)We had to open all doors and windows to get the fire alarms to shut off. Needless to say we did not bake our snacks. The heater was quite loud also, so we had trouble sleeping when it came on during the night. Was it worth the money I spent, no. But it was very clean and well kept.
