Relax and enjoy the ocean from this 1200 sq. ft. cottage one block from the ocean. This is the beach the way it used to be just the sound of the ocean; there is no noise from any highway or traffic. One minute walk to the beach.
House has an Ocean view master bedroom with a half bath upstairs, and an ocean view main floor bedroom and full bath.
Fold out sofa in ocean view living room. Can sleep extra with sleeper couch, futon & air mattress.
Wi-fi, Netflix and cableTV.
Barbecue, dishwasher, wood stove and wall heaters. Crabbing and clamming equipment for bay. The beach house is a 1/2 block to the beach. Off street parking for two cars. Many of the views are ocean front.

Relaxing Getaway

Wonderful, quiet location to getaway for a couple of days. We enjoyed walks on the beach in between comfortable times reading and playing games at the beach house. We would happily come back.

We had a great time at the house. House close to the beach. Our bed was super comfortable. We had emailed Lucy on if a hot tub was on site. She never got back to us on that. No hot tub. We decide to go with the house. The weather was wonderful. Sunny but cold no breeze.

Couples Retreat

Surf Cottage is a great place to stay. The house and the proximity to the beach is why we keep coming back. This is our third stay at Cape Meares and it did not disappoint. We had sunny warm weather one day and cold rainy weather the rest of our time…and the wood stove was perfect to warm up and dry out. The home is clean and cozy and we hope to return again!

Great Home

The house was lovely and clean upon our arrival. Check in/out was a breeze. The directions given to us with our check in information was helpful in finding the house. It’s not directly on the beach but the walk to the beach is a quick trip on foot. We loved listening to the ocean waves or watching it from the windows. One day we even saw a whale while looking out the living room window. This property had a lot of useful items we could use (very generous of them) to play in the area of Cape Meares. We had a lovely time and hope to come back again.

Unbeatable Location

This was our second time staying in Cape Meares and our first time at this house. The location of this place simply can not be beat. 1 minute walk to the most beautiful beach on the Oregon Coast. House was perfect and had evereything we needed including a well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and lots of space for the kids to claim a little corner. We also loved the bikes that were available for use for biking down to the Bayocean Penninsula. We can wait to stay here again.

Relaxing getaway

Perfect location to nice quiet beach. Stay was perfect plus’s dog friendly! Only complaint is need a new guest book to sign in. ( other was full. lol ) we will stay again!

Comfortable with great ocean views

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this well-appointed house. The ocean views were a calming delight. The area was quiet and we got to see elk nearby on a couple early mornings. We felt at home in the comfy furnishings and were very happy to find it clean & without air fresheners. Nice to have the wood-burning stove in the evenings. We hope to stay here again!

Another great mini vacay

We have been renting this beach house for a while now. The view is just unbeatable. Who doesn’t like to spot an eagle in the neighbors tree or a whale spout out in the ocean when prepping your families meals. Highly recommended property!

Great stay in Cape Meares

Our family of three & two dogs enjoyed this wonderful, cozy Cape Meares home. It has great ocean views and is a 1 minute walk to the beach. Kitchen had pretty much everything we needed to cook each night and morning, and the wood stove kept us toasty warm. We’d gladly stay here again!

Comfortable home near beach in Cape Meares

We enjoyed our stay at this clean two-bedroom house near the beach in Cape Meares. We were unfamiliar with the Cape Meares community and were happy to find this quiet, secluded town. The beach is great--wide and clean with plenty of driftwood for a beach fire. The house is not directly on the beach, but it's just a short walk to the sand.

Beautiful, peaceful place!

This is a fabulous location to relax, a block from the beach in a tiny, quiet community. The place is rustic, but cozy and fully-equipped. Have coffee lying in the upstairs bed and enjoy the view. Everything you might need is ten minutes away in Tillamook.

Another great stay!

We’ve stayed here in the surf shack for the past seven summers and always enjoy it. The place always feels like home. We love the extra goodies like the crab nets and beach accessories that come with the place. Also love the close access to the beach and the sunset views!

Wonderful home base for a coastal adventure

This experience exceeded expectations from start to finish. We will plan another trip here. Very clean and well-appointed home for a 4-day stay. We had all the cookware and kitchen gear we needed to cook some elaborate meals. The space was clean and comfortable. The location cannot be beat - quiet and pastoral, a very nice stretch of beach is a 2 minute stroll away. It's a bit of a schlep to services, so stop in Tillamook for groceries and gas.

Loved the location of this neighborhood/house! The house itself was cozy, and the view from the kitchen was great! Perfect location to be away from it all, while still being only 10 minutes out of Tillamook.

Another great stay

We enjoyed our second stay at this house and loved it even more this time. Of course we lucked out with the weather as it was all rainy in PDX but sunny and hardly a few rain drops anywhere during our mile long walk on the beautiful beach. The property is at the best location and it feels good to come into a spotless clean and welcoming house. Highly recommended and we are already planning our next trip!

We love Surf Cottage

This was our second time staying at the cottage, so it holds a bit of a familiar or coming home feeling for us. We enjoy being so close to the beach and we’ve taken advantage of the amenity’s the cottage has to offer… I.e. wet suits, surf boards, etc. It’s an older home and has some quirks, but this just adds to the charm.

This beach cottage has everything you need for the prefect Oregon Coast vacation. The sound of the ocean from this location. Clam guns & shovels, crab pots, fishing poles, two bikes. Enjoy board games, puzzles and a nice wood stove if the weather does not cooperate. You can still enjoy the ocean view while keeping warm by the wood stove. Netflix, dvds, Movies or create a gourmet meal in the well equipped kitchen.

What makes this property unique

Cape Meares is a beautiful unique place for enjoying nature. Hike the many trails, bike on Tillamook Bay's South Jetty or just relax on the beach or on the deck. Cape Meares Lake offers fresh water fishing and kayaking or canoeing. Tillamook bay and Netarts bay are close by for Salmon Fishing and Crabbing. Enjoy Cape Meares Lighthouse and the famous Octopus tree or head north to the Tillamook Cheese Factory.
