Sandpiper is a low density three story complex. Its unique V shape building and shared common area walkway in front of each condo lends to a friendly get to know your neighbor atmosphere. Family reunions, large groups of people traveling together and individual families choose this property often. The tropical courtyard, swimming pool and grilling areas give Sandpiper an ambiance all its own. It is a highly requested property and has the most repeat guests.

Worst room in the complex
Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at Sandpiper several times through out the years and this was the worst room we've ever had!The room was old and out dated. Very dirty. Dust on all the glass tables and shelves. We had to wait an extra hour to get in our room because they were " cleaning it" Cleaning? Really? There were still dishes in the dish washer and old wet coffee grounds in the coffee maker. Also i think my wife got sick because of black mold on the air vent in the bedroom. Also the door knob was about to fall off on the balcony door and the wall in the bedroom had dry wall mud still on it from a repair. Like i said WORST ROOM EVER. This has really put a bad taste in my mouth about Bender Reality. Does the Management never actually look at these rooms? And on a side not when we went to check out at 8:00 am in the morning there were no carts available because the cleaning people were using three of them.

The only inconvenience I had was that my neighbors sat outside their condo and smoked a lot right by my door so I smelled smoke every time I came and went. I don’t think that should be allowed on the balconies. I did not feel I could enjoy the great view I had because of this.

Beautiful but dirty.......

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family (around 60 people) has been staying at sandpiper for 20 years. The condo 7C that we stayed in this year he been recently remodeled and is absolutely beautiful! However it was extremely dirty which was a total shame. The ceiling fan blades were black with dirt, windows, sills, baseboards, and inside the drawers were absolutely filthy. There were tumbleweeds of dust bunnies everywhere. I vacuumed upon our arrival and it took no time to fill the canister just in the living room. For the price we paid we were very disappointed in the cleanliness. I’m sure the owner would be too in the maintenance especially considering how beautiful they have remodeled it.

Reviewer Comments: This property was very nice because it had been newly Renovated and we were the first to visit.Since the property was just newly renovated, it had some areas that needed attention. Hopefully they were resolved before the next vacationers arrived.On a positive note the furniture was comfortable and the view to the Gulf was very rewarding.The owner and property management team were very responsive to our suggestions and tried to take care of the situations in a timely fashion. This would be a nice property to visit and we would come back in the future because this complex is a perfect size and the neighbors were fun to be around.

I was however for the first time disappointed in the room. The couch was so uncomfortable. The TVs in bedrooms were mounted next to ceiling which was uncomfortable. There was no dresser in guest bedroom, no shelving in bathrooms or kitchen like in every other room I have stayed in which left us with no place for our personal belongings. Overall had a great time as usual. Beautiful place. Just disappointed in the room, but didn’t spend much time there when you have so much outside to do.

Happy Stay Even Though Our Unit Needed Remodeling

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was satisfied with the outside property, however I was very dissatisfied with the condition of our unit (7C). The furniture was old and in bad condition. Wallpaper was falling off the walls, the doors, baseboards, and trim were all scratched up. The bathrooms were outdated. The toilets were dirty when we first arrived at the unit. The unit had not been cleaned properly. Lamps were rusted. Dishes were chipped.The beds were not comfortable. The tile floor was dirty when we arrived. There was trash in the pull out couch. I have stayed at the Sandpiper many times. This is the first time I ever stayed in a unit in this bad of condition. I will return to the Sandpiper, but I will never stay at 7C again. I will research the units more carefully. I expect to get what I paid for and 7C did not deliver.
