We stayed here to celebrate our 14 year anniversary. As soon as we got there, we knew it was going to be a special place. The location is perfect! We watched the most beautiful sunsets both nights. The house is very cute and nice! It was clean and cozy. We’ve been coming to the coast almost 20 years and this was definitely our favorite place to stay.
I was town for a tax conference and this beautiful home was the perfect way to spend my evenings. It’s so charming with the most amazing view. We will be back!

No heat. No hot tub. Renter beware.
This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I cannot believe I was made to pay full price for a rental that did not have heat. At the beginning of the day we were supposed to check in I received an email that the hot tub was not working and would not be usable during our stay. Obviously, a major reason we chose to book the property. Upon arriving it was nice and easy to find and get into. That's about it. The heat was at a crisp 60 degrees when we went to bed, only to wake up to the house being at 53 degrees. No heat. I notified the property in the morning. They told me their "maintenance" person would be over to check it out. There never was a maintenance person. Only a man who knocked on the door four hours later with two space heaters, and then told us they knew the heat wasn't working yesterday and they don't know what the problem is. I notified the property management this was unacceptable. The only response I got was to please let them know if we were going to be leaving the property earlier than the scheduled check out time. WASTE OF MONEY. I would never trust this VRBO property group ever again. I really should have received a discount. I was told we would be reimbursed the hot tub fee, and that never happened either.
This home is beautifully decorated and in an ideal location on the beach. My family, including two children ages 7 and 11, loved the access to the yard and beach. It should be noted that there is a rocky path down a small cliff to get to the beach that isn’t well described in the listing. There is also a public access a couple of doors down if needed. We mostly enjoyed our time there and would consider returning.
I would share frustration with the property manager. There is an attempt to establish communication for any needs or concerns, but those concerns were never met. Two examples - 1) there was water pouring out of the vent hood onto the stove top when we arrived. The housekeeper who has just left the house had to have noticed but didn’t address it. When we contacted Meredith Lodging, they sent a nice gentlemen over who said there was nothing he could do, he snapped a few pictures and then said they had to contact the owner. The next morning, we woke to a chilly house, in the high 50s, and tried to turn on the heat. The heat was not functioning. We reached out to Meredith twice, even giving permission for them to enter the home with us not there, and the heat was never addressed or fixed. It created very cold mornings, especially for two kids. I love the house but would suggest the owner find a better property manager who can address urgent needs like water and heating issues.
Perfect cozy little getaway house. I don’t know how in the world they keep those pure white couches white, But they were WHITE! Not a spot. Super clean and decorated so lovely. Gorgeous place!
Having a husband who is a Leukemia survivor, we have been on the utmost high alert since last March due to COVID-19. I have to say that this property was super clean, easy to access, and all around the best weekend getaway we could have asked for. The property management company even answered my call late on Friday night when we could not figure out how to access the hot tub. Our family will be hoping to book this property every year.
We enjoyed our stay at Road's End. It is beachfront with a path to the beach right out front. The hot tub was excellent to keep us warm on the chilly beach days. The house is small but worked well for our family of four. The ceiling fans didn't seem to work when we were there so you may want to inquire before check in. However, we didn't need them because it didn't get too hot while we were there. There are plenty of beach towels, a bbq, and chairs to enjoy sitting on the patio and looking at the sunset. We would return.

Loved IT
First we LOVE this property. The fireplace is gone so the pics need updating and there is no longer lights above the sink so was a bit dark in the kitchen. It’s clear that other items are being updated like a nice new stove but cracked tiles are there now. The shower was updated to this beautiful new shower but the cleaning crew is NOT doing a good job as there was mold along the bottom of door and back of shower a shame really because its an awesome shower. Likewise the ceiling fan and lovely hanging candle structure are not getting the dusting they need. We love the location and the cuteness of the cottage and really enjoyed our time and really hope they continue to fix things AND get the cleaning crew to do what they get paid for. We definitely would rent again
This house is super cute and beach access is only a very very short walk away. The only thing to be aware of is that there is no air conditioning and the windows face west and do not open so it did get uncomfortably hot in the late afternoon.
TV didn't work electrical outlets didn't work and gas stove did not work

Perfect if ...
The home was perfect in so many ways. Really enjoyed all of the beautiful art.
First time to take a pet to a rental where it was obvious other pets had stayed. My husband lifted the living space table to vacuum and one could tell that it had not been vacuumed in ages. Same with the area behind the couch. Made me wonder how clean the bedrooms were in their tight spaces. The house needs more than a weekly job and a handyman is needed to fix all of the various little things. The propane furnace worked for a bit and then shut off and wouldn’t turn on again. Fortunately we were warm enough without it.
Really loved the house and location but it was just too dirty even with a pet.
Check in was easy, everything worked, beautiful location right on the ocean with easy access to the beach if you can navigate a very short path.
House had everything we needed. Outside of the house shows a little wear from being right on the ocean and associated dampness, but that's the part of the bargain when you are on a beach. Bed was comfortable, plenty of room in the house for the two of us. Bathroom was updated and nice. Plenty of room to park a sprinter van inside the fenced area.
We would definitely stay here again.
