Mid Century Modern Beachhouse

Welcome to this wonderfully refreshed beach shack. You won't believe how close you are located to the beautiful North Bay of Carrickalinga.

This is the perfect shack for a great family holiday with an open plan living, kitchen and living area. Plenty of sitting space to watch TV or just enjoy the view.

There are 3 bedrooms : 2 rooms have queen beds and 1 room with 2 singles. All rooms are spacious and refurbished.

A combustion heater warms the whole house for those chilly winter nights. RCAC in the living areas keeps you cool in the summer.
A lovely terraced outdoor area has wonderful ocean views for those warm summer evenings, just sit back and relax while enjoying a BBQ and watch the sun go down or go for a stroll along the beach which is only a couple of steps away.

This property is located only a couple of minutes out of Normanville with plenty to do and see and easy access to dining and shopping.

Conditions:
• Please note: a $500 security bond applies to all bookings.
• This is a fully self-catered holiday rental property. We recommend that you bring with you everything you need for the enjoyment of your holiday. Mattress protectors, quilts and quilt covers, pillows and pillow protectors are provided, but you are required to bring your own bedsheets, pillow cases, towels, bath mats and tea towels.
If you wish to hire linen, please contact our office and we will be happy to arrange this for you. The linen company requires a minimum of 3 days notification prior to your arrival to coordinate your hired linen, which will be delivered to the property prior to your arrival. Please note we do not offer a bed making service.

A lovely get away

Such a good location and honest, simple house.. the perfect combination for a relaxing beach holiday not far from town. Check in and communication with agent was easy, house was very comfy with nice beds and good big lounges with a close view to our favourite beach. The well stocked original kitchen was good to cook in, nice big table fit the whole family around easily and the updated front outdoor area was well utilised with the nice afternoon weather we had. A lovely stay, never long enough.

Quaint Shack

Well located. The kitchen bench has very old lino which is pealing off, which felt unhygienic kitchen and bathroom in dire need of updating very dark and no adequate mirrors to do hair and makeup for special events. The mini weber was absolutely filthy and had no gas :(

Great little spot

Lovely little place, super close to the beach and great view. We really enjoyed the fire but were disappointed to show up to find no wood. The whole shack is fairly true to it's cute 50's/60's vibe but replacing the burnt and cracked 70's floor vinyl on the kitchen benches would be an easy and hygienic way to lift the place a great deal. We had a great time away - walks and games and reading. Gentle and warm. Thanks so much!

Relaxing holiday with view

We had a great time, gorgeous view. It is a shack and very damp in the bathroom in winter but lovely. Great set up in the kitchen with very good pots and pans etc. I have rented a lot of houses for holidays and often the pans are very old, worn, burnt etc these were brilliant.

Shack in a good spot

A real original 50’s shack. Good location and lovely sunset view. It was fine by me but it’s VERY shack like, not a luxury place if that’s what you are after.

Great Views

I would definitely stay again but it's not for everyone! Fantastic location and views but still run down: - Beds are FANTASTIC and that matters View is incredible (we watched whales from the window!!) BUT - Shower doesnt work! - good bath though (not good if you have been fishing) - Kitchen is rough and unhygienic with lifted bench Lino and cant really be cleaned well - Everything is out of date (bring everything eg sugar, tea, salt, pepper) - No dishwasher which wastes time washing up

Best view ever!

This property has been renovated since an earlier review and we found it to be nothing short of excellent! The kitchen is still a little basic but certainly that is dwarfed by the incredible view of the ocean and the tasteful touches to the house. Definitely will stay here again and highly recommend it!

Smelly Shack

House is in a really bad state for the price we paid. Agent said it was a ‘shack’ which is accurate and could have coped with except there was a constant smell of sewerage, could not use bath or laundry, outside hadn’t been swept in ages, inside was sort of clean but run down nature of the house made it all feel grotty. Overall not worth the price we paid and would not recommend staying here.
