Amazing!
I’ve been wanting to visit Corolla for years. Finally did it and couldn’t be more pleased with our stay. We seen the beautiful horses daily. One day we had them in the front and back of the house. An amazing experience to watch them from the porches. I did not want to leave and actually rebooked for 2025 during our stay! If you are looking for a perfect cottage for a couple or small family, look no further! Perfect! I cannot wait to return next year. The owners and property managers are wonderful to communicate with and were very helpful especially since it was our first visit to the 4x4 area. Best advice- understand the tide schedule and plan accordingly for trips back to pavement.

Another wonderful visit to Corolla Beach Cottage! Very relaxing. Saw lots of horses. Enjoyed listening to the Bull Frogs and nature in the evenings. Beautiful beach. Doesn't get any better❤️

5th year and still wonderful
This was our 5th summer at this rental. The house continues to be maintained and well equipped with annual updates. Location is perfect and we had horse guests daily. A true gem for any beach and horse loving family!!!!

Phenomenal Experience
2 Wk vacation was absolutely perfect. The home is wonderful & comfortable. Kitchen is nicely equipped. The two porches were great places to hang out. The horses visited numerous times during our visit, which was an incredible experience. The beach is pristine. It was easy to reach out to Randy and Susan if needed. If you are looking a laid-back property where you can rest this is it. We enjoyed sleeping, grilling/cooking, playing games, puzzling, reading books as well as walks on the beach and a couple excursions to town to see the Currituck Lighthouse and Whalehead. It’s perfect for families and for those looking for some respite. We can certainly see ourselves returning again and again.

Beautiful Beach Home
This was our second stay at the Corolla Beach Cottage, and we can't wait to return. The house was immaculately clean, upon arrival. It is beautifully decorated and stocked with anything you could possibly need, and a few things you may not realize you needed. We love that the porches are covered, so even a rainy afternoon is still a good day to sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. We were fortunate to see the horses hanging out in the yard on a few occasions. If you are considering renting this home, please don't hesitate. You will fall in love with this home and the area the minute you arrive. The owners are wonderful to work with and very quick to respond. The locals are very friendly, also! We look forward to booking our next visit!

Beautiful clean home in a quiet neighborhood
Sept 9-16 2023 Randy and Susan’s house was absolutely beautiful! Had all the appliances you could ask for, plus spices, dishwasher soap, paper towels, zip lock bags cleaning products, etc. Seeing the horses every day in the yard made some great pictures for cards ! The only thing we didn’t like was the ride on the sand was about a 20 min drive with many trucks and keeps passing on the sand and hurricane Lee made the surf high and a few days we couldn’t get out . It a great place for people that want no one around and love walking in the sand , it was a long walk to the beach but you can drive there in about 5-7 mins and up over the dunes.

Best vacation ever
This place was absolutely amazing. The drive along the ocean on the beach to the property was priceless. Saw dolphins our first day. Being able to put our toddler in the jeep with everything she needs for the beach and driving seconds onto the beach without having to pull a beach cart and all our goods was absolutely amazing. We vacation every year and this was our absolute favorite place so far. We were so excited to see the wild horses in the front yard and on the beach. Would definitely recommend.

What a wonderful stay!
This home is perfect for a secluded beach getaway. Fully stocked with everything you could need and spotless when we arrived. Randy and Susan reached out to me a few times prior to arrival to give me updates and tips which I very much appreciate. We saw wild horses at the property and surrounding block every single day. I have already recommended this home to two people and will probably return in the future. Thank you so much for an awesome vacation!

This is a great hidden treasure! The house is perfect for our small horse & beach loving family. Modern features, clean and perfectly located. This house is perfect. We had such a great week here. The house and property are immaculate and the location is amazing. We saw groups of wild horses everyday and the beach near the house is beautiful. We would love to return soon.

Front and Back Porch Bliss
We, our two young adult children and our dog spent an ideal week at Corolla Cottage. After arriving to a cool oasis (with the air conditioner at the perfect temperature and soothing music playing on the TV), we especially appreciated the welcome note and bag with paper towels, toilet paper and a sponge and the surprise bottle of wine, which we enjoyed for Father's Day. The cottage had everything we needed, including puzzles and games; was a short walk to the beach; and even better gave us horses as neighbors. We woke up two mornings to a herd of four horses relaxing under the house and had frequent horse sightings when we ate dinner on the front porch nightly.

Home away from Home….at the best beach!
We don’t know the exact number of times we have stayed at the beach cottage but were closing in on double digits. The house is awesome. It is in a perfect location with easy trek to the beach. Very relaxing on both decks and has everything you need, even the wild horses love the house. They prefer to hangout under the deck in the evenings and early morning you can hear them walking around on the wood walkway under the house. So you don't have to go far to see them but please obey the law and do not touch them, feed them, etc. enjoy their company from a distance. Thank you for everything Randy and Susan!!!!

This was the perfect place. We absolutely have to say this is the best vacation rental we've ever had, bar none. We'd definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone visiting the horse reserve area of Corolla.

Great experience
We so much enjoyed our first time staying on the 4-wheel drive beach. The spot was relaxing and quiet. We had visits from the wild horses almost every day as they grazed on the lawn. The walk to the beach was close and good exercise. Randy and Susan were excellent hosts providing more for our stay than we had expected. We will definitely make plans for a return stay.

Absolutely beautiful house! Wild houses walk right through yard with viewing possible on porches. Four wheel drive a must- will not be able to drive in neighborhood or beach without it.

We had the best vacation ever at this great property! It was quite an adventure from driving on the beach to get there to seeing the beautiful wild horses many times right in the yard. The owners kept us very informed since the hurricane had gone thru and there was flooding and problems at the property. All was well when we got there, but it was so nice of them to keep us informed. We could of had better weather but the last two days were just beautiful! We hope to come back next year! Our two dogs enjoyed their first trip to the beach!

Great family getaway
The house was absolutely beautiful!! Perfect location in the 4x4 section. So quiet and peaceful. Almost every morning the wild horses would be in the yard, it was just wonderful! The house had everything we needed!!! Susan & Randy were quick to respond with any questions we had. I would give them and their home 10 stars if I could. I highly recommend renting from them!!

Home away from home.
Rent this home for 2 weeks in August every year. Perfect house and easy to communicate with owner and property manager. Perfectly clean and easy access to the beach.
