Property was awesome.Great views.Nicely laid out and everything provided We didn’t walk to town but definitely possible for younger/fitter folkRead plenty about the steep driveway and it is definitely steep but after a couple of practice runs no problem Be careful when running shower and washing machine at the same time as the shower gets really hot!Apart from that we loved staying here
Really enjoyed our stay - had everything we needed and beautiful views of lake and mountains from the property. One minor quibble: prefer not to have properties which only provide non stick cookware as it gets scratched over time. Overall we highly recommend this place.
I find this property is great, cleaned and tidy. Information is sufficient for all facilities at the apartment. There is nothing to complain except driving up to the car park and parking is challenging. Great view, great balcony and comfortable living room. Children and I love it very much.
Great views of lake and Remarkables. Steep narrow driveway off road if that concerns you. Otherwise, great location within walking distance to town and everything you need.
The unit was beautiful and the view of the water and snow topped mountains was spectacular! The location was not too far from town, so we enjoyed walking it every day. A perfect place to start our trip to New Zealand!!!
Mahalo from Hawaii!
We loved this chalet. It was so spacious and comfortable and close to town. It was equipped with all the utensils to cook and the washer/dryer was great to have. The only surprise was the steepness of the driveway which we managed to overcome after a few times of coming and going.
We had a wonderful time in Queenstown at the Alpine Challet. It was a great space for a family of 5! We walked to town one evening as well which was very easy. One comment to make is that the dishwasher was missing a surface acting agent, which prevents the dishes from being greasy when you take them out of the dishwasher. Otherwise everything was perfect !

We LOVED our stay at 39A Lomond Cres. The views from the living room and main bedroom were extraordinary. The whole place was comfortable and modern. Everything functioned perfectly. Great communication with Mike. I highly recommend this great place and will book again next time we are in Queenstown! Thanks!!
Good location, great views. Plan for a steep hill to park & walk to & from town but manageable. Only issue, had trouble with working heat downstairs - messaged owner very responsive. We never did get it to work but we managed. Would recommend and stay here again.
Perfect for 2, all amenities ok, shower a little difficult to adjust. Enjoyed the walk uphill to get those stunning views from 2 decks. Would stay there again
Apartment great, location brilliant, view to die for!! It’s up a steep hill so it helps to be fit, but it’s ideal for the walking tracks and fit walking into the town. We didn’t want to leave and we were there for two weeks…

Loved the place – Hated the place
What we LOVED: Queenstown is fantastic!; The views from the chalet are to die for; The porch off the front was wonderful to sit and have breakfast/lunch/glass of wine/dinner; The washer and dryer were great; The living/dining room was a good size and comfortable; It was close to town and an easy walk down (rough coming back up;)
What was OK: The place is dated (alright, we knew that coming in from other reviews but had to emphasize it) with old scratched kitchen counter, old soft sofa, tired rugs; The towels are limited and very thin; The sheets were too small for the bed; The kitchen was ok with limited dishes and utensils; The driveway (again we knew from other reviews and dealt with it) was STEEP – but after you have been in NZ for a while you get used to these steep hills; The bedrooms and bathroom was on the second level – not an issue for us, but I don’t believe it was noted in the description.
What we HATED: The shower! – it was like standing in a bowl as the bottom was not flat. They provided a rubber mat that helped. It was also hard to get in/out since it was so high (this is common in Europe but still nasty); The hot water – there is a sign that says to limit the use for hot water or you will run out and it takes hours for the tank to refill (suggestion to owner – get a new low flow shower head with a handle OR get a tankless water heater); The beds are really old, saggy and lumpy – bad for my back
