We stayed for a week. The house was small but perfect for 2 people and a small dog.
The view is amazing we loved sitting out on the deck, when the wind wasn't blowing.
The house could do with some love, front deck has nails sticking out and timber rotting on walls.
The Kitchen was lacking utensils, only one old rusty baking tray and a tiny frying pan. No tupperware, gladwrap or baking paper provided.
Overall we had a great stay, the small things mentioned would have mate it even better.
its a simple old house but its cozy and warm with magnificent views, good hot water for shower and some nice local coffee and honey for us to enjoy when we arrived. location atop the hill and a short 3min drive into town or a nice waters edge walk for about 20 minutes. pet friendly was nice too although the yard for the dog was quite small but adequate
Wonderful little cottage with amazing views. The balcony was secured and the large front yard was enjoyed by our little jack Russell. More than enough room to park our large boat. Comfortable master bed, good shower and laundry facilities. The kitchen has good amenities, with everything you need. The neighbour was friendly and helpful. We definitely want to come back. Thank you Carolyn for the easy, no worries check in process. Regards Shauna, Steve and little Tommy🐾
Great location, would not recommend accommodating more than 2 people. Living space very small yet can sleep 4 people. Bathroom was clean but needs an update. Half a roll of loo paper is not going to cut it for a 4 night stay.
Beds comfy, view beautiful but back deck and furniture old.
I’ll stay again Little bit on the pricey side very old shack but we found it comfortable for the two of us and the dog.
Oven needs repairing only works on flat out and the
dog area little bit too small
Unfortunately three days we were there bad weather but we will come back

Beautiful views
Very basic property with beautiful views. Not very pet friendly because the only fenced area was a very tiny area, not big enough for medium sized dogs. Very few amenities, would be lovely in Summer not so much if the weather is bad.
The cottage is somewhat rustic but the view is definitely spectacular. Infact the cottage is quite nice for its age and fairly well equipped - kitchen and bathroom have been updated. The beds were fairly comfy. The deck and a small patch of grass with a gate was the only area for the dogs so we couldn’t leave our large dogs there alone. The cottage is only small and the living area and kitchen is one room but we were ok with 4 adults and 2 larger dogs if a little cosy. Bit overpriced for what it is even with the view. Toilet paper provided was crap quality for the price paid. Nice quite spot though.
We couldn’t have had a better view than what this house provides of beautiful Lake King.
It took us a little while to adjust to how small this house is but once we did we fully appreciated the limited housework and beach vibe that came with it. Also very comfortable bedding and recliner couch.
Our dogs joined us and lovely safe property except grass was very long when we arrived and with snake season this was a concern however it was cut on the 7th day we were there. We stayed 10 nights and feel recharged and ready for the year ahead.
The small building that greets you is a little disapointing from the street this could be improved with a small amount of painting and a more welcoming feel.
Once inside though there is every thing you may need for a short stay . The home is well painted and there is good provisioning of kitchen equipment etc. The bathroom is clean and the shower has copious warm water and good pressure. The bedrooms are comfortable and have attractive bed linen. The space is heated by reverse cycle aircon.
The most amazing views across the lakes are absolutely stunning from all rooms and the deck though small gives a beautiful space for a cuppa or sundowner. Our dog enjoyed the deck space looking to the lakes. This is secure but the front lawn is open to the street.
If your happy not to have the flashiest of buildings but want a great location with most things this is it.

Bearable
Very old and not what we expected. No lounge room just a couch in the kitchen. This was not highlighted when we made the booking. Bathroom window shelves very dirty, dirt on the bench behind the microwave. The property has no street number to identify it - had to ring the booking office to locate the property
