About this property

Palace Of Miracles: Hot Tub, Lounge Spaces, +Casita, mtn views,5 courtyrds,6 FPs

According to legend, the Palacio was originally a stop on the Military Line of the Pony Express, then re-built as an Art Gallery. It is now Converted to a Getaway For Groups that want LOTS of elbow room in a sprawling 7000 square feet. The South Gallery is 34 feet long, the Main gallery even larger. There is the Palacio (main house), the Casita (guest house), Seven (7) fireplaces, and five(5) courtyards.

Send the kids to the North Gallery / Bunk Room and they will be in a world of their own, all the way across the Main Gallery. The Master Bedroom has its own fireplace and lounge, which is larger than most living rooms at 20 x 20.

The Dining Room has its own fireplace for cozy meals, or just to gather. The Pantry can handle meal preparation for large groups, and serves out to the Dining room. The eat-in Kitchen has room to serve an informal meal and its own fireplace.

The Guest House has its own bathroom, kitchenette, fireplace, living, study and bedroom, available as an add-on option at an extra charge. It is separately entered across the inner courtyard from the main house.

There is no other house like it in Taos. The Palacio is conveniently located near Arroyo Seco on the paved and plowed Ski Valley Road. Beds, futons and couches sleep 20 or more. With the optional Guest House, a total of 5 bedrooms and 4 baths will accommodate a large party; the guest house alone is sufficient for a small family or couple.

ABOUT PETS-- We are making the Palacio open to pets, but pet owners must be responsible. Pets are allowed in designated areas and are NOT ALLOWED on furniture, rugs or carpets. The pet fee is $300, but $250 will be refunded if the housekeeper confirms there are no pet damage or pet hairs left behind.

NOTE: The Palacio is mostly located on one ground floor, but includes numerous "changes of level" (also known as "steps") when passing from room to room. Please be alert and aware, and step up or down when passing a change of level. See, for example, the photo of the Foyer, which looks out over the Main Gallery below.

Amazing house
Linc is the nicest person and a wonderful host. He is so accommodating and communicative. The house is quite an architectural wonder. It's enormous with comfortable spaces for whatever you feel like doing, both inside and outside. Best of all is the magnificent view from the front.

A Special Place
A trip to Taos always invokes a connection to the beauty of nature and the earth. The Palace of Miracles will extend that connection to place and your people! Our extended family was able to spread out in the various rooms, but we shared and connected in communal spaces and dining. The architecture and most of the decor blended seamlessly with the Taos vibe! I would note that some of the sleeping areas are not private and the lodging (if you also include casita) is probably better suited for 8 adults and 6-8 children. The casita really is not comfortable for 4 adults, which was how our group had to use the area, but probably ok for 2 adults and 2 children (in a shared bedroom). Also, the sun room bedroom was equipped with an air mattress which didn't work well for one of our adult couples. The kitchen in the main house was well stocked with dishes and cookware, almost too many dishes! It was also nice to have dining room seating for 14+ in the connected dining areas. A great place for an extended family vacation!

Incredible
I think everything has already been beautifully explained about this place in other reviews, I’m just here to echo it. Lincoln was an incredible and responsive host. Answered many questions promptly and even provided some local caterers for us. The property speaks for itself. Pictures absolutely don’t do it justice, it’s an incredible space. Was here for a week ski trip and it was perfect. The only negative was the hot tub not keeping its heat very well, but Lincoln profusely apologized and mentioned a new one is already ordered. 10/10 would recommend!

Such a lovely stay. Plenty of room close to the ski hill, and town. Quiet enough to have a baby sleeping, while everyone else plays games, cooks, or watches movies. Even had some people reading with no distractions. Felt like home away from home.

Great stay!
This house has plenty of room for a large group, and the owners thought of everything when concerning the abundant amenities … they have more than any rental I’ve stayed at, by far! The owners are attentive and quick to reply; really awesome! It’s located on a highway, but the road noise wasn’t noticed while sleeping! (however, the neighbors dog who was quite persistent in fending off coyotes all night, every night, was. If precious sleep is of importance you may want to bring ear plugs). We stayed for a wedding event and it was amazing to be able to rent the casita for the newlyweds to have privacy from the group when desired. A couple people had to work from home and ‘work spurts’ in the casita was an ideal spot! Again. the owners were very accommodating and gracious… which means so much. ❤️ The view was amazing, and the location was only about 15 minutes from the Taos wedding venue. Lots of lovely bridal pictures from in and out of the house! Many amazing dining options within 20 minutes away! You won’t go wrong renting this house! Hopefully you’ll have same fond memories we do when walking away from our time in NM!

We had a group of guys in NM for a 3 day golf trip. This property provides plenty of space and the yard was great for cornhole in the afternoons! We where able to cook our own dinners and watch football on the TV at night. Overall a great property for a larger group with plenty of space! Thank you

Absolutely Wonderful
Property was great. 2 teen granddaughters loved the ping pong and hot tub. Great sleeping arrangements. Was a little warm, could use a couple of mini splits. Portable evap. needs too much water. Enjoyed a fire pit, smores etc. Would like to bring my whole family 13 instead of 7 next time. Grill worked well for steaks and chicken. Overall a great stay.

Family Relax
This house is a wonderful example of perhaps 1920s New Mexican construction and has a beutiful layout. The many little courtyards are a pleasure and there are chair and table vinettes everywhere. The kitchen has everything you would need to service a huge party if that were in the cards. There is every kind of entertainment with games, music, sheet music, video, and tv. Our family went out to explore everyday, but you could as easily just stay at the "Palacio". Our trip was wonderful!

Wonder amount of space indoors and out.
We utilize the complete property and found it was very roomy and comfortable except the kitchen was small for more than three people. We ran out of refrigerator space and from my understanding the adults that slept in the bunkbeds felt the mattress were too thin and uncomfortable. We had a wonderful time and loved the outdoor space to sit and relax. Overall it was very good.

Wooohoooo!
Palacio De Milagros was an outstanding setting for three siblings plus spouses plus offspring and a few significant others to stay for five nights and depart with lifelong memories. Our group totaled 15 adults ranging from early 20’s to late 50’s. There was plenty of space to gather and also hide out for quiet time and remote working when needed. The “palace” has loads of charm and character. The front courtyard was the scene of many hotly contested games of bags, countless conversations, and much laughter. Excellent location for exploration of the Taos area. Lincoln answered inquiries promptly. We are thrilled with our stay and hope future gatherings are as fulfilling as ours. Lincoln, thank you for sharing this special place!

Great house
We enjoyed our stay very much. Such a unique property. Plenty of space to each have our own space and great rooms to come together in. Our kids decided instead of seeing the sites in Taos they would rather just hang out at the house. However, we did visit a couple of restaurants and did a little shopping. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Family fun
We fell in love with the house immediately. It is set up for fun with ping pong, a karaoke machine, all sorts of games and the coolest environment. Our group’s ages ranged from 6-67 and we all hated to leave. Thanks Lincoln for the great house and warm environment. I think we used every inch of the house - inside and out. Found the kids hanging out in the dungeon just chatting several times.

Amazing property
This was an amazing space for us. My husband and I held our micro-wedding here with 10 guests for 3 days. Everyone had a comfortable space to sleep and could find a place to sit quietly if they wanted to escape the group. There are so many spaces to gather!! The courtyard was perfect for our small ceremony and the west yard was wonderful for our meals. The internet was not working while we were there as a cable went out. Was no problem for us and they did have it fixed within a couple days. Linc was great to work with, communicate with and was incredibly accommodating to our group. As some people have said there are just a few “deferred maintenance” projects but to us it added to the Taos charm. It was clean and the kitchen was very well stocked!! We can’t wait to come back to Palacio de Milagros!!

This is such a cool place to stay!
My family held a reunion at this property. It is really well set up for such a gathering. There are several different public spaces where you can sit and chat, and also several dining rooms where you can break up to eat in different groups. The house just sprawls on and on--it's such a fun difference from some of the more generic places we've stayed in the past. I really enjoyed the skylights too. When it's sunny, there's a ton of natural light. When it rains, you can really hear it! We also really liked that the kitchen is big--kind of spread across two adjacent spaces--and really well stocked. Although we only used a couple, there are tons of small electric appliances like coffee makers, blenders, mixers, and so forth. Very handy!

Only a miracle (combined with a lot of elbow grease) made it possible for us to own the Palacio. As shown in this picture, we have re-plumbed and massively renovated the property. I'm good with a pick and shovel and my wife has good taste and knows southwest art and design. We are committed to making the Palacio a place where guests can find their own miracles.

Why they chose this property

The Palacio was originally built by an artist who was also a contractor and a pilot. It was his gallery. It adjoins the Taos Pueblo Lands and stands in the lee of El Salto and the "Magic Mountain". Now we are remaking it into a place where groups can spend a few days, a week or a month taking in the magic of Taos. The main house has beds and bedrooms for 12 and sleeping room for up to 20. The separate guest house has its own bathroom, kitchenette, bedroom and study with sleeping space for another 6 people. The guest house is available at a discount to guests in the main house, or at a reduced first-season rate to smaller parties.

What makes this property unique

Beams, latillas, woodwork, adobe and plaster all set the stage for the quintessential Taos experience, but the huge rooms give the Palacio a magnificence that is not found elsewhere. The building makes me feel expansive and lets my mind roam. Bring your art or music and be creative here. Or sit back and enjoy life in a palatial space.
