This was a beautiful place for our extended family to spend Christmas together and to enjoy our Ski vacation. The location was beautiful, nestled in snow covered spruce trees offering privacy from neighbours. The family loved the large hot tub at the end of the day at the ski hill. It was spacious and comfortable as well as cosy with the stone fireplace and log interior. We highly recommend this chalet and hope to return.
The house was beautiful, comfortable and exceptionally clean.
Jami ( house manager)was extremely helpful with everything we needed and she even mailed me my toque that I had forgotten when I left.
I will definitely stay here again when in the Fernie area.
We had a wonderful stay at Alpine Cougar Chalet in Fernie. Communication with Doris from our initial booking to check-in and check-out was seamless. This traditional Canadian log home is beautiful. It is spotlessly clean and offers everything you could possibly need for a very comfortable stay. The stone fireplace, very large hot tub and stunning views from the great room and expansive decks were our favourite aspects. We enjoyed cooking our own meals in the large, well equipped kitchen. The beds were extremely comfortable. The home is perfectly situated in a lovely, quiet area of Fernie, only minutes from the historic downtown and about 10 minutes from the incredible ski hill. We really hope to return in the future. We had such a great stay and would recommend Alpine Cougar Chalet without reservation or hesitation. Thank you Doris and Ed.
We had a great stay with friends. Perfect size for two families. The ski hill was 12 min away Cabin was super cozy, some of it was a little dated but very clean and kitchen was well stocked. Great hot tub
We very much enjoyed our stay at Cougar Alpine Lodge. we even got our white Christmas which as an Australian family was very special.
Thank you Jami for all your assistance
We loved our stay at the Cougar Chalet. We have no complaints. Everything we needed, was available. Beds were comfy, Hot tub was perfect! Great place to relax and visit. Fireplace warmed us up after the skiing. It felt like a home away from home. Awesome place for bird watching. Jami and Luke were great and very helpful to all of our questions.
Overall quite nice. Only areas of improvement would be sound proofing......could hear the tenants below as sound seems to transfer throughout the cabin. No garbage cans availae for use. And no checkout sheet could be found.
Chalet is located in a very quiet area and is easy to access from the highway , yet close to city services . It was clean throughout . Kitchen was well equipped. Fireplace is huge and really throws the heat. Gas BBQ and Hot Tub were very clean and are located on a large outdoor deck , easily accessible from kitchen/dining area. We had a lovely weekend .
The Chalet is absolutely everything you would expect and more! Being an avid traveler and renting various condos, I've never experienced service and quality such as this. The owner of the chalet really has thought of everything. An amazing experience!
This property has a very private feel to it, beautiful trees surrounding it and the quiet feel of the neighbourhood made the hot tub very enjoyable after a long day of enjoying the mountains. The cabin is very nice and spacious with plenty of room for multiple people to enjoy. Very well kept. Would highly recommend this property as the perfect place to enjoy your mountain vacation.
Very nice stay and the place is very comfortable, good location. It was sparkling clean

Great family ski property!
This is great log chalet. Everything was in good order when we arrived and the house is well equipped. The wood burning fireplace and hot tub were great! The location is in a nice quiet forested area and only 10 minutes to Fernie Ski area. It was perfect for a family of 6 to 8 people.

Beautiful but be careful!
We were three couples staying here for 3 nights for a snowmobiling trip. There was plenty of room for all of us to stay comfortably. The place is a beautiful log chalet with a wonderful wood burning fireplace and plenty of wood.It also has a nice hot tub outside.I didn’t use it but it looked clean and well taken care of.The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. A few things to note for future guests of Alpine Cougar Chalet, that are not bad, but could help you plan before you go…The knives in the kitchen are not sharp. There is only one towel provided per person-no extras to be found. There are no face cloths, shampoo, conditioner, etc.provided either. The beds are decently comfortable; however, they do squeak a lot. There isn’t any soundproofing between rooms and floors. We stayed in the room on the main level and could her the people in the room above us talking as if they were in the same room.In addition, when the upstairs toilet flushes it sounds like a waterfall in the bedroom downstairs.Overall, those things were minor inconveniences and we loved the chalet. The reason though for my low rating is a safety concern. We arrived on a Wednesday and Fernie had gotten quite a bit of rain the previous weekend. The driveway and steps were a skating rink. They were full of ice and no de-icer had been laid down anywhere. When we arrived,we tried to contact the people that take care of the place to see if they had any but didn't get a hold of them.My husband fell down on the driveway and injured his shoulder so bad that his snowmobiling trip was ruined.I contacted the owners and the disappointing part was that she did not even ask if he was ok,just offered excuses. That aside, by the next morning, de-icer had been put all over the stairs and the rock steps and by that afternoon sand had been put down on the driveway. They were quick to respond after the incident, but this really should have been done before our arrival, since this outweighed all of the good things.

Beautiful log cabin with fireplace and hot tub
We had a great time at the Alpine Cougar Chalet. The traditional log cabin construction is beautiful and exactly what one would want from a ski chalet. There is a great hot tub under the veranda and the stone fireplace keeps the chalet nice and warm. Less than five minutes to the town of Fernie and about 10 to the Fernie Alpine Resort. Very close to Fernie Brewing Co on the north end of town.

Fantastic
This property was incredible! It checked off all of our boxes, and even the boxes we didn't anticipate. I would definitely recommend this property to others, and I would stay there again next time I'm in the area.

Amazing house
Our son lives in Fernie and daughter lives in San Francisco and this house was perfect for a new year reunion. The house, the hot tub, the setting. Great snow and skiing and we even went to Fernie’s Ghostriders (ice hockey team). Amazing walks around the property. Just perfect.

Alpine Cougar is a beautiful log chalet very close to downtown Fernie yet right up against the mountains. The hot tub is amazing. There is a massive deck with a gas grill. Will definitely stay here again.
