Villa Amarc: Family Fun, Kite Surf, Balcony View minutes to Rodgers/Baby Beach!
Only two minutes by car to Baby Beach, Rodgers Beach, and the kite surfing mecca Boca Grandi--all on the "quiet" side of the island! You'll have mornings practically alone, easy access to the Arikok park, amazing peace and solitude--but still just 20 minutes to downtown Oranjestad!

Pros: Great location, price, and roominess of living room and kitchen area. Cons: Hallway toilet would not flush well, so had to use master bedroom toilet. Loft bedroom area was too warm for anyone to sleep in, so make sure not to count that for sleeping needs if staying here.
Great place for a family. Quiet and clean. Our boys enjoyed the roof top balcony. Very well stocked. Only complaint is I wish they would have turned on the ac.
We were an adult couple. We found the house to be charming, well supplied, exceptionally clean, and very comfortable in every way. The neighborhood was super quiet and peaceful. We loved it.The neighborhood consists of some nice houses and some abandoned houses. In 2012, the main employer on this end of the island closed, and the financial impact on residents was devastating. We found the abandoned places intriguing. We had zero problems or concerns with crime. Zero problems with anything. We enjoyed the uncrowded and peaceful end of the island.
Loved our stay here. It had everything we needed. The kitchen had all the utensils/cookware you need. Had more then enough stuff for the beach, chairs, towels, toys, and mostly important cooler bags to keep drinks cold all day. Great place, great stay. We will be back!!!
We had a lovely stay in your home! Beautiful location to enjoy the more natural part of the island. Loved the handy beach chairs, towels, and coolers. Kitchen had just enough of the right essentials to cook in a few nights but we loved the local restaurants too! Kamini’s, Ora’s, Charlie’s, Delicious Burgers, and Pepe’s to name a few.
Thank you for a wonderful stay!
2nd time staying here. Booked the first time through another site. Great location. House is very comfortable and clean. Management company is very responsive. We love the house. Unfortunately this time we couldn’t use one of the bathrooms due to a plumbing issue and the dishwasher wasn’t working. Other than that, everything else was great. If those issues are fixed we will likely stay again. Thanks Amelia!
Amalia's place was a great place to stay. It was my first trip to Aruba with my college-aged sons. The beds were comfortable, and the place had everything you need - well-equipped kitchen, hair dryers, shampoo, soap, etc. You can walk to the beach in 5-10 minutes. It is a quiet area, away from the touristy areas in the north part of the island. If you want a quiet vacation, this is the spot for you. We had a rental car and were able to drive to activities in the north part of the island when we wanted to. Rum Reef Bar and Grill is a fun spot you can walk to from the house, but has limited hours. I would highly recommend staying at this property.
Our native visit to Aruba was wonderful! The island and all that it has to offer (it’s not just high rises and casinos!). The location of this home is perfect for quiet days and evenings, star gazing and lizard watching. The constant wind cools the home, we only closed up at night and used light a/c. So very close to Baby and Rodgers Beach and Seroe Colorado Lighthouse and a super easy trip 1/2hr drive up to Eagle Beach and the busy part of the island. We cannot say enough about the people, the food and the safety of the island. The house is wonderful. We will be back!
My son and I very much enjoyed our stay at the property. The location is great and provides a nice contrast to the high-rise hotels of Palm Beach, where we also stayed during our trip to Aruba. The house itself was clean and had all the necessary extras. The kitchen was well stocked and we prepared a few meals there. We enjoyed shopping at the Macro Supermarket with the local folks. Everyone on Aruba and around Seroe Colorado was very friendly. We rented a car and drove all over the island, which is very easy in Aruba, just make sure you have GSP or maps preloaded otherwise some of the best sights would be tough to find. Baby Beach is walking distance from the house, and we really enjoyed how quiet it was in the evenings, again a nice contrast from the more touristy parts of the island. I would highly recommend this property. Everything was great. Thanks so much.
The house was very clean and comfortable. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. Its close to Baby Beach and Boca Grandi. Great for kiteboarders. The house has all you need for a great stay. Including nice beachchairs. Will stay again.

About the host
Hosted by Amalia Alvarez, Ph.D.
My mom is a retired educator, having been a Supervisor, a Professor of Spanish language, and a well-love High School Spanish Educator based in Gainesville Florida. After coming from Cuba, she received a Ph.D from UF, and raised her two children, Amalie and Marcus. Aruba, at Villa Amarc, is a wonderful, accessible, and consistently beautiful place to share time with her children and family, plus their friends! Hopefully you'll feel the same!
Why they chose this property
Amalia first visited Aruba yearly since 2001, and stayed at a time share. She loved the island with its people, its constant breeze, its different music, and languages (many islanders speak English. Dutch, Spanish and Papiamento!). Even better, both of her kids loved the consistency of the weather and easy access, and thus, she decided to built a house in the best island of the Caribbean Sea.
Away from hurricanes, barely any mosquitoes, good weather year around, and able to speak English or Spanish and feel quite safe--not the same in other islands--Villa Amarc was built in 2007 and has become a place to create wonderful memories of an incredible island: Aruba!
What makes this property unique
Villa Amarc puts you so close to three of Aruba's most incredible beaches and waters--while getting you away from the bustle of tourists! Villa Amarc is situated in the middle of the transforming-yet-historical Seroe Colorado area. You will feel like you are back in time: mornings alone on a beach with hardly any tourists, surrounded by nature and quiet, and all the amenities you need to get away and enjoy!
However, you are still only minutes away from San Nicolas's Art and Food. And a few more away from the Casino's and High Rises the island has to offer (the island is only 20 miles across!).
Best of all, by staying in such a unique area, you'll be drawn to explore some of the less-known and hidden treasures, such as driving your jeep into Arikok Natural Park via the back entrance, or enjoying Kamini's Kitchen & incredible island cuisine and art of San Nicolas, or finding your way to the Aruba Volcano or Frenchman's Pass!
