We used the condo for a family wedding being held at the Alta lodge. The location was perfect within walking distance of the lodge. The property had a nice layout and plenty of beds. One of them was broken and there were several screens missing on the windows. With no AC this made it very difficult to open windows at night inorder to cool the place down. The pillows were very hard and uncomfortable.
Plenty of room for our party (3 guys). Comfortable and pleasant but could use some updating and attention to detail. Not really "ski out" - more like "skate out" - several hundred yards of slight uphill skateing required in order to ski down to Wildcat or Collins lifts. Ski in was fine for advanced/expert skiiers. Garage was not long enough for our truck (Ram 1500 crew cab with 6' bed (19.5') as owner has built a storage space at the end of the original garage. Had to park outside at an angle to stay out of the street. If it had snowed I'm not sure how we would have delt with the snow plows. Kitchen needs new cooking utensils (pots and pans) and new SHARP knives. A Kuerig coffee maker would be an improvement along with more dish towells (we had only two). Fireplace, while drawing well, needs new or rehabed glass - difficult to operate. Hot tub was clean and hot but needs new lift and cover - very hard to operate. Better quality sheets and pillows would be a big plus along with wall/door hooks for garment hanging various items in baths and bedrooms.
Overall a great stay at Alta. We just needed new snow!
Location for skiing Alta could not be better. It's a 5min skate to get to the lift and it's possible to ski down directly to the condo. I was also able to walk easily to Goldminers and Rustlers. Views from condo were great. Hot tub work well after long ski days.
I would recommend having a car if you rent the unit. We took shuttle from/to the airport but it was difficult to handle bags as our arrival and departure times didn't exactly match with check-in/check-out times. Also, not an issue with unit, but FYI Whole Foods delivery service was flaky up to Alta they cancelled on us first day and were 3 hours late second time. This required a scramble for food (and another reason to have a car).
The condo was just beautiful and had everything we needed. Luxury linens were a nice touch. The location was amazing- you can ski straight to Alta from the front door!
Two minor complaints- the TV was very dated, satellite cable only and no way to access streaming services, no way to play music. We were also never sent the door code prior to arrival and spent a chilly 30 mins trying to reach someone to let us in. Otherwise everything was perfect!!!
This was a great location and plenty of room for a family group of seven. However, the condo is in need of some repairs/ updates. The windows are in bad shape. Staying in the summer it gets hot inside and you want the evening cool to come in. Most of the windows either didn’t have screens on or the cranks and locks were broken. One bedroom has a window at floor level and no screen…..an accident waiting to happen. The adults in our group all complained about the beds and hard, flat pillows.
It’s hard to complain when the location is beautiful, but most of us were more sore from sleeping than hiking.
Large, clean, beautiful views, and close enough to Alta to pole over to the main lift. Less than 5 min drive from Snowbird aerial tram. Property manager was very responsive, and road and driveway were cleared of snow promptly. Three minor suggestions: for a condo that rents out for this much, better pillows, better knives, and a newer, smart TV are all needed. Still, a fantastic condo and great location. We’d rent again.
This property has everything you need and is easily accessible to Alta. The hot tub wasn't working for our visit which was the only negative but the property manager was responsive and apologetic. Can't wait to return!
We all had an amazing experience at powder run. The cabin was very clean and the kitchen was full stocked with appliances and condiments. The view from the jacuzzi was stunning! Ski in and out to alta was super convenient and the free shuttle to snowbird was also fine. We would love to stay here again in the future!
Great place in a great location. Condo has a lot of room for multiple guests. Host is responsive. Only issue is the internet is too slow for anything outside basic web browsing which can be an issue if anyone is looking to work remote. Other than that no complaints.
This house was spacious for our group of 4 adults and 1 child. Loved the open kitchen, plenty of work/counter space and equipment (though all the dull knives should get thrown out - bring your own chef's knife and a sharpener). You can't beat the location - a quick walk down the path and a schuss to Collins/Wildcat. Coming home was a treat with all the amazing powder during our week. And kudos to the snow plow crew for being super on top of it during Interlodge and the crazy snows that week! It was great to experience a different side of Alta. We will be back next season!
We enjoyed this place thoroughly. You can see mountain goats in morning while sipping coffee. There are a million stars while sitting in the hot tub.
It was spacious, relaxing and clean. Delightful stay.
