We throughly enjoyed out stay. The space was exactly as shown and a beautiful property. When a small issue came up Russ was terrific and responded immediately. Definitely would use again!

Thanks Russ for the wonderful stay. The property is wonderfully maintained and has everything one needs. Internet was adequate for streaming movies. Sauna was great and got.

Christmas getaway
We had a lovely time in Nevada City. The house was lovely and comfortable for the three of us. It was our 30th mom’s getaway. The drive into town was about 15 minutes. The property was comfortable, the beds and furnishings were comfortable. Highly recommend this property.

Beautiful but difficult owner
The house is beautiful and in a wonderful location. It is in a secluded are about 15 minutes away from Nevada City. There is no cell service in the house. Texts go through, but you cannot have conversation on a cell phone. There is intermittent satellite internet which means you cannot stream anything. There was an unadvertised choice between a $1500 deposit or $70 insurance for damage. Everything was great until the very end when there was angry communication to me from the owner about scratches on the floor. We certainly did not do anything unusual inside of the house, so I was disappointed with how the vacation ended.

We had an amazing time! The home and property are extremely clean and maintained. The house is well-stocked with everything you need for a nice, relaxing time away. We loved coming “home” after a day of exploring Nevada City and Grass Valley everyday to the fire pit and hammocks outside or games and puzzles inside.

Sanctuary away from home
This great home had everything we needed. Did a lot of cooking. Was able to find everything I needed. Good amount of dishes. Great washer and dryer. TV had all channels. Close to town, great walking trails. Very peaceful surroundings with just the sounds of the birds chirping. Loved it!!

This charming home was perfect in every way for our family. All amenities we needed were at our fingertips, and the check-in process was seamless. Professionally managed every step of the way by Russ. This home is in the perfect location for our needs. You have 5 minute drive to Yuba river or 20 minutes to the lake. Great home and great location.
We enjoyed our stay here! Everything was as described and well taken care of. We would definitely recommend this as a home base for a trip to Nevada City. We went to both Edwards Crossing and Purdon Crossing during the days, and we were also close enough to downtown though we only drove through their on this trip. The home had everything we needed. The air conditioning, the fire pit and the grill were also nice add-ons for us as well.

Beautiful Property!
Well cared for home with relaxing outdoor spaces. Had a couple deer come by in the mornings. Super close to Edwards Crossing of the S Fork of the Yuba. Hint walk across the bridge and take the path to the left. You can walk 5 mins or 30 and find a place of your own for the day. Would stay here again.

Peaceful location
A nice place away from the bustle of the city yet not too far away from either Grass Valley or Nevada City. Very close to Edwards Crossing to swim and wade in the South Fork of the Yuba River while avoiding more crowded spots. Loved using the propane barbeque and resting in the two hammocks. We are only two individuals and stayed only two nights so we didn't not explore the full potential of the property. I can see it easily accommodating a large family or many guests and would like to return another time as the seasons change. I think Fall would be a spectacular time.

Relaxing Getaway
We had an amazing time at Russ's house! It feels like home that is being very well taken care of, not just a rental property with bare minimums. It is in a very quiet location, surrounded by trees and beautifully maintained landscaping. We enjoyed breakfasts and barbequed dinners on the porch, while the kids played on the swings close by. The house was very clean, is beautifully remodeled and decorated, and had everything we needed. It was nice to have AC when it got hot (the house cools down very quickly). The weather was comfortable to read in a hammock or on the swing in the afternoon after spending the morning at the lake or river. Russ was very prompt on communication and was available for any questions we had. River is just 5 minutes away, and the lake is about 20. We had a fantastic time exploring both. We will definitely be back again!

The house and property are very special....enchanting home with wrap around deck, and beautiful gardens with hammocks, fountain, badminton,, swings, a mini paradise! Russ and Maria are most gracious hosts, and accommodated all of our requests. Very clean inside with comfortable beds. Can't wait for our next visit.

Wonderful forest retreat
We loved our time in Russ' house. The communication was easy, the house spacious and clean. The hammocks, the badminton court, the sauna all made for good and relaxing times.

Beautiful home
We had an amazing time relaxing in this beautiful home. The pictures don’t do it justice. The house is clean, and looks to be recently remodeled. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with all the appliances you need including a coffee maker, waffle maker, hand mixer, and toaster, plus plenty of pots, pans and serving utensils. The outside property is beautifully maintained. Thank you Russ, for a wonderful stay.
