Nice condo, great location, BUT....
There are two parts to this review. First- the condo itself: it was great. Clean, bigger than the pictures portrayed I felt, and a great location right on the boardwalk. Know that being at this location means it may be a louder in the evening because people do stay up walking the boardwalk and musicians or other performers may be close by and within ear shot. We knew this and were fine with it, but just something to consider if you’re unfamiliar.
Now the but: the parking situation is bad. The rental company is only in charge of putting butts in the condo, so they will tell you it’s no their responsibility, and that’s fine, however it strongly affected our overall experience. We were told we would have 2 parking spots, a specific spot and an extra anywhere in the lot. When we arrived our designated spot was taken by another car and there were no extra spots in the lot for us. We called the rental company, but since this was out of their hands, they told us we could call a towing company. We managed to figure out the spot that car was supposed to be in and parked in their spot. As for the extra spot, we had to find public parking for our other car. 1- not an easy feat and 2- not cheap when considering paying a meter for a week straight. When we left the rental and packed up the car that was in the designated parking area, the car had a strong odor. There was a drainage pipe that emptied at the front of the spot that wreaked and the smell had gotten into my car. We were hopeful airing my car out for a day or two would be all it took. No such luck. We washed it twice, hosed out the floor mats and it still remained. We ended up having to get it fully detailed before the stench was finally gone. More money down the drain.
What is sad is that the condo and week we spent there was great, but this parking issue overshadowed our experience. Again, this is part of the managements problem and not the rental company, but you can’t separate the two. I would not recommend staying at this condo strictly based on the parking concerns and issues that are associated with it.
The rental company has said over and over again, check reviews on google, that it is not their responsibility, but their responsibility is to maintain positive experiences for their guests so take that as you will.
