About this property

Our little beach house is right on the waterfront at Clarks Beach and the perfect place to escape the city without having to battle for hours in the traffic!
Just 50 minutes’ drive from the CBD, our slice of paradise is the perfect place to unwind, unplug and enjoy the many recreational activities nearby – or just relax and take in the stunning views.
Whether you want a romantic getaway, a break for the family, or some ‘me’ time – this is the place for you whatever the weather!
The bach faces north with a large deck offering panoramic views across the Manukau Harbour to the city way off in the distance and the beautiful Awhitu Peninsula to the west. The summer sunsets are stunning but the winter weather fronts that move across the harbour are a sight to behold.
Recently refurbished, there is all you need in the way of linen and towels, new comfy beds, a fully-equipped kitchen, outdoor furniture, and plenty of music, books and games to while away the hours.
Clarks Beach is a hidden gem; a quiet seaside suburb with dairy, café, restaurant and hairdressers plus an 18-hole golf course, all tide boat ramp, playground and white sand beach.
If you want to get active there is so much to do just around the corner!
• Explore the amazing Awhitu Regional Park with its walkways, bike tracks, wetlands and rare birds
• Manukau Heads lighthouse (open to the public) overlooking the treacherous Manukau Bar
• Walk the coastline and sheltered bays
• Visit Kariotahi Beach on the rugged Tasman West Coast
• Visit Pukekohe for shopping, cafes and bars
• Bring your boat and rods and go exploring
Other features of our home away from home include:
Full laundry, air conditioning/heat pump, gas hot water, comfortable new beds (one super king with en suite and two king singles), private access to the beach.
Please note there is no smoking inside house. We do not have a television or internet – so come prepared or unplugged!
The bach comfortably suits 4 guests but there are two trundle beds for an extra two.
We recommend that little ones are supervised at all times outside as there are hazards on the way down to the beach.

This property blow us away. Super clean. Everything is there. The view is spectacular. The beds are super comfortable. This was a wonderful 4 days. Which we could stay longer

Great relaxation spot

Arrived late in the evening, greeted in the morning by some wonderful views. Great start to an enjoable 3 days. All amenities with a nice nautical theme, though no TV or wifi. By the end of the three days, we all felt it was a plus!

Beautiful relaxing getaway

This little Bach is adorable. It has a well appointed kitchen, lovely bedrooms and having two bathrooms was a real plus. We had a family reunion in Clarks Beach so the location could not have been more perfect for us. Walking distance to everything you might need for a weeks stay and the view was to die for. We will be back!

A wonderful break

The view is stunning, easy walking to diary and fish and chip shop. We enjoyed watching the planes across the water go in and out but the noise from this was loud at times. We enjoyed the easy access to the foreshore from the house which was pleasant to stay in. To be on the water to make the most of the view very minute of the day was our highlight as was the week of good weather. What a bonus!

Cozy Honeymoon Stay!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay!! The home was very clean and the owners are very responsive! They gave helpful information about the area and the home is in a very nice, quiet area! Perfect for a get away to see amazing Auckland and surrounding areas! We would definitely stay here again!!

Super spot. Right by the water and you could see the Sky tower and watch the planes come in. Super clean and a nice spot for a relaxing holiday

Something fishy

This is the third time we have stayed at this property and it never disappoints. The one small(ish) complaint I have this time is that the fridge and freezer both smelled strongly of fish. I would assume this was caused by a guest rather than the owner as the place was otherwise and always is beautifully clean.

Perfect for our needs - again!

Two of us retreating away business planning, with golf just round the corner to mix things up. Watching the tides in/out is quite fascinating.

We had 8 days and really enjoyed the peace and quiet and loved watching the sea. The property had everything we needed and it is maintained in a very clean tidy state. Although mid winter with the double glazing and heat pump it was lovely and warm and catches all the sun when there was sun.

Another lovely stay here

My husband remarked that this is the cleanest property he has ever stayed in. Props to the lovely cleaning person who also left us a nice note 🥰. This is our second stay here and that is testimony to what a great location, house and manager and team looking after it. Many thanks again!!

Best summer spot!

We had a wonderful time at this Bach. It’s sparkling clean, right on the water and a lovely sun trap. The beds are comfy & the linen is good quality. Would happily visit again
