Great property love it. Stayed there several times. We were very unhappy with the fact that it was advertised as an ocean view. It was in building #4 and not an ocean view. We didn’t find this out until after we paid. To our agents credit he did offer to refund us. He also offered a $500 refund if we stayed. We opted to stay as the refund would’ve taken several days and we just needed the trip booked. However, we never received the $500 refund or at least I haven’t received confirmation that we received it. This was incredibly inconvenient, and we had many other actual ocean view options at the time, and would happily have booked one with an ocean view, even if we paid more. Kevin was very apologetic and super accommodating, and did everything he could in his power to get us upgraded. He even called the owner and called the hotel directly. It just didn’t happen. My only recommendation would be to make sure that you are delivering what is being advertised. Hats off to Kevin though he’s a really great guy and I’m certain that we will be booking again through him.

great resort and great owners
wonderful resort if you are bringing kids to maui. owners were great to work with, the ability to use the pools and other activities are the surrounding westin facilities was a hugh positive. during our stay the gas company had a strike so we experienced periods of time where we could not use bbq, no tiki torches, etc. not westins problem however they do need to work on their communication with guests so that you know what the plans are and you don’t plan a bbq dinner that night only to find a sign that says no bbq tonight at dinner time. but highly recommend both this owner and the resort for a family vacation.

Wonderful Stay
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Westin Kaanapali. Kevin was very responsive during the booking process and maintained contact as the agreement was being finalized with the owners. Since you check in at the resort there wasn’t a need for instructions from the host or owner prior to arrival. The grounds of the resort were beautifully maintained with great pools, access to beach and attentive staff. The villa had a slight difference in bed configuration but ended up working well for our family of 6 which included kids aged 15-23. We had several meals in the villa during our week stay (limited items for keeping leftovers) and access to gas grills by the pool was great. Having stacked washer & dryers in each unit was also a great amenity. The resort was perfect for those relaxing days between exploring & taking excursions. When traveling back to Maui we would definitely return to this property.
