Welcome to our unit in The Janion, a unique modern micro-loft. Originally established in 1891 as one of the first Hotels in Victoria, the Janion recently completed a full heritage restoration and modern extension in November 2016.
This unique, modern restoration of the Janion sits right downtown in the core of Victoria’s shopping and historic district. Our unit is a 365 square-foot mix of modern and contemporary designer furnishings, such as white oak hardwood floors, custom high-end cabinets and floor to ceiling windows and a small deck to enjoy the view. The unit is a 3rd floor unit which faces towards Victoria’s inner harbour (ocean view) and experiences sunrises to bring in the light for that perfect morning before exploring the city. The unit comfortably sleeps 2 on the luxurious queen size murphy bed.
Guest access
Guests have access to everything in the unit as well as the amenities of the building such as the rooftop. The Janion offers amenities that take advantage of its stunning waterfront location, and enhance the convenience of the Micro-Loft living concept. Embrace the outdoors as you enjoy stunning city and water views while entertaining in the rooftop lounge and outdoor deck, with its full kitchen and barbecue. Please use common sense and respect the building’s shared spaces and amenities.
The neighbourhood
The area is immediately surrounded by the energy of downtown Victoria as the unit’s beautiful views of the inner harbour are dynamically met by equal views of the activity on the streets ahead. You are very short walk away from already some of the best restaurants and coffee shops the city has to offer, as well as excellent boutique shopping along nearby streets including China Town and Government Street. You also have direct access to the waterfront, kayak rental shop next door or you can take a ride on the harbour water taxis. The best part about this space is that despite being in the bustle of the city it is a very quiet unit if you just want to read, nap, relax and unwind.
Area attractions include:
China Town, Government Street, Inner Harbour, Parliament Buildings, Victoria Public Market, Shopping, Restaurants & Bars and more.
Getting around
Because you are right in the city a car is not essential when staying here. With much public transit nearby and being walking distance from most Victoria area attractions you can get by without. However, if you are looking to do a lot of site seeing and travel outside the city core a car would be recommended. There is ample paid parking immediately next to the building.
