Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful stay at Maui sunset, our unit was a perfect set up for the time we were there and Wendy at Kumulani provided exceptional excellent service to meet our needs. The unit was very clean, and had an excellent view from our patio, it also provided a very comfortable hide away sofa for sleeping accommodations for our visitors. We were very happy with our stay there.

Cozy

A bit outdated and the bedroom a/c unit is quite noisy, but overall a very comfortable stay with everything you need for an extended stay. Wish the gym was open earlier! Was told it would be open at 7, but it’s 8am; couldn’t enjoy it this trip because of that. The public park nearby attracts some shady looking folks and there may be some firework action (very loud). Despite the small number of negatives, it was worth the price and we’d stay again if available

No shade. Hot and humid

I had no idea October would be so hot. It would have been better if there were more than 2 umbrellas everyone had to hover around at the pool. Also the only trees were palm trees which gave no shade. No beach umbrellas in the unit. I was only comfortable in the AC in the unit and my car. I guess I can't go to Hawaii in May June July August September October. Global warming takes Hawaii.

The units are individually owned and can vary widely in quality depending on the owners up grades, choice of furnishings. This was my second stay. The unit was nicely furnished. I noted on two negatives, a carpet that needed shampooing and a creaky bed frame in the master.

Stayed there many times, always great. Great location, great unit and have been staying at the Maui Sunset for 30 years or so, always enjoy it. They were able to make some scheduling accommodations which we highly appreciated.

Very good experience- great value for the money. Only thing I would change is a little updating of the unit. Still has a CD player with aux cord - no blue tooth or any way to play electronics. Bring your own Bluetooth speaker. Friendly service from both management and owners

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I found the unit in bad need of updating. The carpet had stains and under the sinks and inside the drawers weren’t terribly clean. While we stayed there we had a fly infestation with 30-40 flies per day for three to four days. The only set of sheets we had were on the bed, so no sheets for the fold out sofa. Both times I called the management they responded. There was also no beach towels.

Close to shopping and the beach. Grounds are beautiful and very kept up.

We enjoyed looking down on the pool and the beautiful grounds . Our view from our lanai was nice as well. The pictures were accurate of the unit. We would rent here again.

The room was clean and adequately supplied. Unfortunately, people did not respect the garbage chute or quiet time hours (where our bedroom window abutted). Other than that and the bed being uncomfortable, we had a great time. Mahalo

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Maui Sunset never disappoints. This unit has great views and we enjoyed a sunset dinner every evening. The unit was well equipped with beach accessories and cooking tools. The pool is great. We were there for kiteboarding and were able to kite at the beach in front of the hotel for most of our stay. The grounds are immaculate. The in room laundry is great as it means we do not have to pack as much. We always stay at the Maui Sunset and are never disappointed.

The weather was perfect everyday and we had a wonderful time. The unit was clean and well maintained except for the washing machine which was hard to operate and should be replaced. The location is perfect, close to all our shopping needs as well as a lovely pool, hot tub and grounds. We cooked almost all our meals in the unit and had a well stocked kitchen. The water was great no need to buy bottled water. We would highly recommend the Maui Sunset to all our friends and relatives.

Love this place, our second visit to Maui Sunset

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We came to this Maui Sunset property two years ago, but in a different condo. We love the place, the view the condo setup itself. Everything one would need for a stay in this condo as well as another where we stayed. We certainly would recommend it, and have done that in the past with friends who stayed here. This time we had a few issues, but nothing that would hinder us from staying again. One was the air conditioner in the bedroom being quite noisy. Hard to figure out just how it worked the best. The other thing was that the ceiling in dining area had obviously had a leak in the past and when we got more rain, it began leaking quite a lot.
