Beautiful Farm House

Really, the photos do not do this justice. It is comfortable, but also very nicely appointed. Peaceful location, with opportunities to enjoy outside (decks, yard, and firepit)!

Wonderful House

This house is in a great location (beautiful area) and it is a great property to rent! Diane, the owner, was very accommodating and welcoming! The place was clean and had all we needed for our stay! Would definitely rent this house again when in the area! The beds were nice and super comfortable (even the queen futon in the middle room). Very nice house! Relaxing, calm and beautiful

This home is in a great location. Can be on the Blue Ridge Parkway in 5 minutes, can be at Stone Mountain State Park in around 10-12 min. Sparta is just a short distance away. So quite. Loved the front porch. Bed was good. Truly enjoyed our stay.

GREAT HENS PARTY

Several of my high school/family friends call ourselves the Hens. We scheduled a weekend away, little did we know that there would be a photo in the kitchen of a hen titled The Hens Party. The house is very clean, beautifully decorated and in a great location for local adventures and sight seeing. We drove along the Blue Ridge Parkway and did some shopping and sight seeing. Beautiful & Quiet Home

We came up to hike and visit the wineries. The home is in a great location. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and awesome the home was - great location as it is close to Stone Mountain, Sparta, and 3 wineries.

A great home at a quiet location. Owner does not have correct contact info listed on VRBO, so had to call customer service with check in problems very late. An aggravating check in procudure, but the home is wonderful.

Camp Cheerio Weekend

Perfect location and wonderful house for our visit to Camp Cheerio. We had two 2 year olds and we had to come and go from camp frequently. It was only a couple of miles away from camp. The kiddos loved walking over to the farm across the street to look at the cows. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils for cooking. We loved the peacefulness around the house and even made a fire and made smores in the firepit. We are already talking about coming back!

Great house inside and location near Blue Ridge Parkway

This is probably my sixth time in the past year and we’ll definitely be back

Diane is an amazing host and the cabin is perfect. Sitting on front porch after dark to watch the stars was the perfect ending to the day. There’s everything you need in the well stocked kitchen and there are stores nearby for groceries. It’s a peaceful place and close to many outdoor activities.

Comfortable home in great location

Our family travels to the mountains quite often, but had never stayed in the Sparta area. We were really looking for a way to just relax and unwind, and this was a great place to do just that! We loved that the house was in a quiet area overlooking a beautiful farm, with Christmas tree farms very close by. We did not realize how many of those were in the area. The town of Sparta is about a fifteen minute drive and is a fantastic place to shop and eat (especially during the fall/winter holidays)!!! The highlight of our trip was visiting Papa Goats Christmas tree farm in Sparta. It was such a special experience for our family to share together, with so many free things to enjoy (live animals, hayride, playground, hot chocolate...all free) as well as a small store for buying neat gifts. The blue ridge parkway is literally only a couple miles from the house if you want to enjoy some awesome scenery while driving. We also did some nice gentle hiking in Stone Mountain state park. We did a waterfall trail and also hiked the trail to the Homestead which is definitely worth seeing. Even our 3yo and 6yo kids and my 60-something year old parents were able to do these hikes. The house suited our needs well. The two bedrooms have the most comfortable mattresses ever, and the "sitting room" which is a pass-through to the master (no door), has a futon that also has an excellent mattress. That's where our kids slept and we had trouble getting them to sleep, because it is basically next to the living room, but we made it work. We already figured that would be the case from another review we read, so we were sort of prepared. The only negative thing we have to say, and it is really a matter of preference, is that the tv has a DVD player and Netflix, but no regular channels (NBC, cbs, PBS, etc). We missed the Macy's thanksgiving Day Parade, which is a family tradition, but found plenty other things to keep us busy. Also, we found Diane (homeowner) to be very quick to respond to any questions, and she was easy to book with. We definitely recommend both the home and the area!!!
