Johnson Carriage House is a second floor unit located right in Black Mountain with all of the amenities of home. Enjoy two full bedrooms and two full baths, your own single car garage, large living space and large kitchen just four blocks from the center of town and charming Cherry St. This new construction house has vaulted ceilings with antique wood beams and lots of natural light that gives this space a comfortable, clean and bright feel.
The master bedroom has a king sized bed and flat screened tv with private access to the rear screened porch. The master bath has tile shower and double vanity. The second bedroom has two twin beds and a flat screened tv with access to the front porch. The second bathroom has a full shower/bath and single vanity with a stack-able washer and dryer.
Kitchens have become a central part of our homes, and the Johnson Carriage House is no exception, with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, and stocked with all the amenities you will need for a comfortable stay. This space flows out to the rear screened in porch with outdoor dining area and built in grilling station.
Back inside, the dining area seats 4-8 at the dining room table plus seating for 4 at the counter top bar. The living room has comfortable reclining sofa and chair with a gas fireplace, flat screen tv, and small computer station. This space leads to the front porch, with rocking chairs and year round views of Rattlesnake Mtn.
The Johnson Carriage House is a second floor unit and is accessed from the private single garage. It's located on the corner of Montreat Rd. and Beech St. and is next to the property manager’s private home and also above their private garage. The Johnson family will be sure to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Our Favorite Rental in Black Mountain!
We've been coming to Black Mountain for years and this is our favorite rental!! The house is in a perfect location. We walked to town and Montreat daily! Our kids go to camp in Black Mountain and it's the perfect spot in the middle of both camps for pick-ups or drop-offs! It has so many things to help make you comfortable! The kitchen is amazing and sooo new and clean. Beds are crazy comfy. We will be coming back for sure!

Johnson Carriage House, Black Mountain
The property is exactly as advertised. It was clean and everything was well maintained. It is obvious the owners take pride in the property and its upkeep. Having a garage to park your vehicle to get it out of the weather is a nice plus. Sitting on the front deck in the rocking chairs in the evening with a view of the mountain was very nice. The seating in the living area is comfortable as were the beds. Chimney Rock state park is 20 miles away and Asheville is about 10-12 miles down the interstate. Black Mountain has a nice shopping area downtown just a couple of blocks from the house. We would definitely stay here again.

This was our first trip to Black Mountain! We fell in love with the city, the restaurants, the trails and this sweet carriage house. The house was clean, comfortable, and the location was great. We would absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful apartment
The apartment was perfectly clean and beautiful. It is equipped with very modern high-end appliances, and is located a short walk away from the center of town. It is a second story apartment, which is only reached by a long flight of stairs. As older people, we managed it OK but anyone with mobility problems would have a difficult time, especially with luggage. The was no apparent way to lock the door from outside, so we used the garage as our entrance and exit. Fortunately there was no real need to contact the owner, except that she should list the hair dryer among the amenities.

Perfect Home Away From Hime
This property is stunning and so very comfortable. The design is so thoughtful and property well stocked. Perfect location for walking to all things Black Mountain. You'll feel right at home with very comfortable beds and furniture; great for long term stay. Two great outdoor spaces and the private garage is a bonus. Owners have another property on same road if you need more rental space.

Blk Mountain Gem
Johnson Carriage House was the perfect place to stay while exploring the area. The property is perfect for two couples or a family of four. While in Blk Mountain we loved wandering through the darling shops and had plenty of great food. The center of town is an easy walk from the house. We enjoyed The Trailhead, Open Oven, Veranda and The Grange. Johnson Carriage House and Blk Mountain are the perfect spot from which to explore downtown Asheville, The Blue Ridge Parkway and The Biltmore Estate. We hope to be back again someday and will, without a doubt, chose this home again.

Johnson Carriage House Black Mtn NC
My friend and I wanted to stay someplace in Black Mountain, NC. Our main concern was safety, cleanliness and walking distance to town. The Johnson Carriage House was our top pick and we still can't stop talking about what a wonderful choice we made! The front deck was the perfect spot to see the sunrise above the distant mountains. Absolutely spectacular! The house is clean, the beds comfortable and all needed amenities were supplied. Jen the owner is very personable and accommodating. This VRBO will now be the standard which we will judge all others by.

Get away in Black Mountain
Great if you prefer to stay really close to downtown. The house was in great shape with all the bells and whistles. The front porch overlooks SC 9/Montreat road and is quite busy traffic wise, so it could be a little noisy at times, but you do have a beautiful view from that front deck.

Often on the go, the Johnsons enjoy traveling with friends, visiting their daughter and her family in Raleigh, NC, and spending time with their son and his family in Black Mountain. The Carriage House is managed by the Johnson's son, Adam, and his wife, Liz.
