Our cozy home was built in 1916 and still retains much of its original personality and features, while also containing many upgrades.This charming home in Historic Downtown Montrose, Colorado has all the modern amenities nestled into a bright, airy, pristine cottage. Within walking distance to historic downtown shops, restaurants and theaters, this cottage is perfect for a getaway on the western slope. Nestled between 3 major ski regions to include Telluride, Powder Horn and Crested Butte, all about an hour away. The hiking, fly fishing and golfing are also unparalleled in this region.
Come relax and enjoy Southwest Colorado at our charming House in the heart of downtown Montrose! Our cozy home was built in 1916 and still retains much of its original personality and features, while also containing many upgrades.

Cute House in Montrose

We enjoyed staying at this cute older home in Montrose. It was a great him bade for our family to use as we explored the region from Ouray to Black Canyon of the Gunnison (which was absolutely stunning).

Perfect house

House was conveniently located in town - close to shopping, dining and downtown. Our beagle loved the fenced backyard. The house was well appointed and comfortable, and just 2 blocks from family. We hope to stay again.

Exploring Colorado’s beauty

Centrally located to Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Located near a charming town called Ouray with a fabulous waterfall. It’s about a 40 minute drive that was well worth it. Air conditioner is either on or off. No dishwasher.

Great Homebase

Family with 2 adult kids so the 3 bedrooms 2 baths worked out perfect! Super comfortable house! Nice neighborhood. All of the necessities were there. We neither cooked or explored Montrose. The 3 days we were there we day tripped to the Black Canyon, Telluride, and Ouray and it was either late or were exhausted by the time we got back. A 4 star for accuracy in listing is because while there is AC, it is not central AC, but a large unit in the kitchen window. The unit worked great and could cool the house quite well, however the bedroom doors had to be open to get cool. A box fan for each bedroom would be helpful. We would definitely stay again.

Great Location !!

Charming house within walking distance of restaurants and bars. Montrose itself is a lovely town. We were so close to National Park and were able drive back and forth easily for different programs and hikes.

Montrose Adventure

This is a great homebase for numerous adventures to be had in the surrounding area. Comfortable and walkable to some great amenities like the brewery right up the street, but also central to great Hot Springs, hikes, and other outdoor adventures …which are why we came. The place was very comfortable and had a great large game table. It really made our weekend retreat memorable

Great location to visit Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Ouray, and other local destinations!

This house was plenty spacious, it accomodates 6 at least and we had just 2 adults and one dog. It was great for us as we had working space and hanging out space for the week! Lots of fantastic hiking to Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Ouray, Redstone and Ridgway. We love this area of Colorado! Never made it to local restaurants but will try HorseFly and Camp Robber next trip. The neighborhood was pretty quiet and you could walk to town easily. We'd stay again, and bring friends or family. The back yard for pets was great. Could use some extra chairs out back to enjoy the sunny afternoons! Appreciated use of the charcoal grill. Thanks, Genevieve, Mark and Bandit

montrose visit

Older home, lightly updated, nice front porch, good yard for dog, comfortable bed. Property owner always readily available. Pest control required for bugs, spiders. Clean windows of bird poop. Deep clean in kitchen and bathrooms.

We stayed at this property in Montrose this past weekend. The home is very clean, comfortable, and has all of the necessities plus more. Kendra was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely recommend this property if you need a cute little getaway during your Montrose stay.

Cozy little house in the heart of Montrose

This home provided exactly what we were looking for. A pet friendly property that was extremely clean and well appointed. We knew there was not a dishwasher going in so we took a lot of paper plates and bowls, it worked out perfectly. The new wooden fence in the backyard was a pleasant surprise, the pictures online showed a wire fence, The wooden fence provided much more security and privacy. The container of pet waste bags on the back porch made it extremely easy to clean up after her little girl. The neighborhood is very walkable and dog friendly and the proximity to everything in Montrose is most convenient. The only problem we had was with the operation of the television, we had contacted the property manager before hand to let her know that it was important to us to have a working TV and she arrived promptly upon our call to her to get the TV operating and provided us with an alternative operating devise that worked perfectly.
