Family getaway to Granby

We love visiting Granby at least once or twice a year. We’ve tried many different types of accommodations in the past, but this VRBO was perfect for our tiny bit growing family! With all the amenities you could think of, we had a cozy family vacation!

Wish I Could Have Stayed Longer

Super Clean! High quality sheets and towels. The experience with John is seamless. Hotel amenities, yet privacy of a condo. My dog loves laying in the sun on the balcony.

Great place and value

We always love staying at these condos - this one was close to the amenities/front office. Nice comfortable Murphy bed that’s easy to move up and down, and we brought our pack and play for our 2 year old. Place had everything we needed and plenty of towels. Dog friendly was a plus so we could bring our older border collie. Our 2 year old loved the amenities - arcade, racquet ball courts, animals, game room, hot tubs (the pool was too cold for our liking, but there were 4 hot tubs and one was on the cooler side so he loved being in there.) Host responded to messages within 24 hours. We have never had luck with the restaurant being open. Overall great experience.

better than pictured

This condo was even better than pictured. It was quiet and comfortable and had everything we needed. The beds were comfy and the condo stayed cool, despite no A/C and temps nearing 90 outside. The ceiling fan was enough, and we'd open the window and door at night. The TV worked fine, with plenty of channels. (I'm only including this info b/c someone commented it didn't have enough channels) Going to the mountains to watch TV is not my gig. Our only minor suggestion would be to have the carpets cleaned.

Overall very nice.

The biggest frustration was I received an email on the day of our check in and it gave the check in and check out dates and times and it states the check out time of 11:00 am, but shortly after 10:00am, when I had just gotten out of the shower and was not dressed we had a knock at the door from a man, saying they were there to clean the unit and check out was at 10:00 am. ,

NIce little unit that needs a bit of attention

This is a nice small unit with a Murphy bed(quite comfortable). We ran out of dish and dishwasher soap and replenished those. The silverware was a bit short for 4 people so we also resupplied the silverware. The sheets, except for the flannel sheets were pretty tattered at the corners and could not possibly be used on the Murphy bed. The dispensers for soap/shampoo etc in the bathroom were all empty. These are all relatively minor isues and easily correctable. The heat is a bit of a mystery and I suspect it's due to random heat from the first floor as we never could figure out a setting that worked consistently.

i did not expect resort amenities. There was a game room, a salon, tatoo parlor, masseuse, and an bar/restaurant open in the evening. OOH there was coffee in the cabinet, thank you bunches.

This spot is HOT!

No, seriously...HOT! The only complaint I have is the lack of airflow in this condo during the summer heat. The overhead fan does little to combat this, especially if you are cooking. It would be great to have a way to open the windows at night. The door is on a spring that makes it resistant to being propped open. Other than this minor detail you cannot go wrong. It had everything we needed and in a prime location. 10 minutes to River Run RV resort, 15 min to downtown Granby, 20 minutes to Winter Park. You're close to it all. The Silver Springs hotel is pretty cool too. It has that historic rustic feel that sends you back in time. It has a swanky lounge, an indoor/outdoor pool with several hot tubs, massage parlor, barber shop and tattoo shop! There was probably more to discover but we spent most of our time outdoors.

Overall very nice.

It was very nice overall. It was fairly clean with a nice balcony. We enjoyed using the kitchen for three meals. Their were no wash clothes at all for showering and no bath soap, only hand soap.

Great time

We really enjoyed staying at the condo in Granby. The location was perfect for our time in the national park. We didn’t need anything big or fancy, we were gone all day and came home to relax and sleep at night. It was very clean and had a cabin feel to it. The cable didn’t work at first, we called the front desk and the maintenance crew came and gave us a new box that ended up giving us about 90ish channels. I was surprised that the condo didn’t have a bedroom. That’s the only thing that could be changed in the description. It was like a “studio apartment” both beds were right by each other next to the kitchen. Thanks so much, we’d recommend it to everyone.

Granby get away

Room had all the basics, and the location was fabulous to be able to get both to the town and the Granby Ranch ski area. Finishes are dated, but everything works great!

Disappointed (read before booking)

Before arriving at the condo I realized the day before that it really was just a studio condo. The listing on Vrbo says that there is one bedroom which is misleading unless you read the description/title of the listing. This condo was in a good location and clean but it lacked a lot of necessities needed for our stay. We were not given any extra towels to use for the pool and hot tub so we only had 2 total, there was no shampoo or conditioner provided or any other usual products you’d find at a hotel,etc. , there were no tools to use for the fireplace, there was no pizza cutter so we had to use a dull knife, and there were only 3 channels to watch on the tv. My husband and I were staying there for our ski trip so we did want to utilize the hot tub and other amenities available. We would have liked to have more of those essentials provided for us so we could’ve had a better stay. The bed was comfortable and I appreciated the extra blankets and pillows but the TV was very disappointing and irritating because when we got back and wanted to relax at night there wasn’t anything available to watch. There were about 3 accessible channels so we didn’t have the option to watch what we wanted because everything that interested us on the guide was blocked. If the property owner doesn’t want to pay for more channels then it would be much better to have a smart TV so that their guest could login to their own account and stream things like Netflix or other tv services. This condo is basically a good place to sleep and that’s about all it has to offer. There were multiple lightbulbs burned out, some vanity drawers were broken and the bottom of the shower curtain had pink mold/mildew and the curtain was not wide enough for the shower. I hope the owner reads this and makes some much needed improvements or explain in the description what their guest should expect.

Comfortable

The unit was very clean when we arrived. The drop down bed is very comfortable. Basic amenitites were fine. For the price, it was a nice place for a quick getaway from Denver.
