Tranquil solitary space

Wonderful location on west side of Sedona, secluded area close to some trails, not far from anything; peaceful, quiet, great place to de-stress and re-charge. The "Zen Den" was clean, comfortable, had what I needed for my two-night stay.

Reflection In the Zen Garden

I had just come from a Women"4 day Retreat and I wanted a quiet place that I could sit out in the sun and have some reflection time. I arrived Sunday around 4:30 and the door was unlocked just as the Host had said. I booked this lovely cozy place for 3 nights and was very pleased. The bed was very comfy and I was able to adjust the temperature to my comfort levels, another big plus for me.I have issues with technology and could not get the TV to cooperate and had the Host's lovely daughter knocking at my door within minutes of sending a message to the Host. She got all up and running so I could enjoy Netflix during my stay.I enjoyed the yard and the two sweet dogs very much during my stay. The other thing that I found as a big plus is I felt like I was out in the country side yet very close to things to do if I chose.I would definitely stay here again, and was very pleased with the price.

Lovely Place

A very lovely cottage tucked away just south of Sedona. We came to ride the Verde Canyon Railway, and we’re very comfortable here.

Simple and Cozy

Overall my wife and I had a great experience with this rental. The property is beautiful and quiet in a very unique area of Sedona. We enjoyed our stay and would love to do it again in the future.

Magical spot

We really loved our stay here. This location is perfect and had access to swimming and excellent hiking, including Cathedral Rock, without ever having to drive anywhere. The space was cozy and the right size for us. Thank you for such an excellent stay!

Fantastic Place!

Zen Place in Sedona

We were pleasantly surprised by the solitude and beauty that makes up the Zen Place. Praceo, clean, modern and cozy spot to locate your Sedona activities from. Bridget was very kind and helpful to make us feel comfy during our stay. We would highly consider returning next year.

The property is lovely and peaceful. The space was spotless, bed was comfortable, parking was easy, Bridget greeted us along with her sweet dogs. The location was only 15 minutes to downtown Sedona, with most amenities even closer. There is a Cathedral Rock overlook just down the road. Also many trailheads with easy trails are within 5 minutes. I was 1000% happy with chosing The Zen Den to stay our long weekend in Sedona.

Perfect for my solo trip

I was nervous about traveling and staying alone( as my husband is usually with me ) but really wanted to attend a workshop in Sedona. Bridgit's place was absolutely perfect. I felt safe, comfortable and Bridgit was responsive, helpful and super sweet. I highly recommend her cozy little studio and would love to stay there again if I ever need a place in Sedona by myself.

Cute home away from home

This place was perfect for a quick overnight stay or get-away. On our way we experienced a traffic that held us up for hours. Bridget was accommodating and sympathetic. She was super nice and friendly when we arrived. I would recommend this place if your traveling or need a break from the city. Thank you Bridget!!

Cancellation Policies & Weather

It rained & snowed about 50% of my time on vacation from up North. The Zen Den is very cozy and served all my needs. Next time, I will consider a hotel for more flexibility on cancellation policies. Then by the time I can see the 10 day forecast and a significant winter storm coming in I can cancel without losing ALL my money.

The place was private and safe. There is a dry creek you need to cross, if it was raining, we would have been stuck, Communication was challenging, host had changed number and we were not notified, and Wi-Fi drops completely when you reach the property. But all in all is a wonderful serene, comfortable place to stay.

Cute tucked away comfort

The place was a little hard for us to find, but after passing it we came back on it. We also went in the wrong guest house at first but the host came out quickly to help. We appreciated the location bc from where we came in we got to see all of Sedona and had many scenic views on the way. We'd recommend driving in the day due to the difficulty of the winding roads. Plenty of easy access to trail heads very close even some walking distance. Everything u need inside the one bedroom guesthouse, was perfect for us. My partner didn't like that we shared a yard with the main house but the host didn't seem to mind that was really just a personal preference. Great stay! Great host! Great location! Thank you!

This place had cockroaches and very unsanitary. I had to leave the place after the second night. The owner promised to reimburse me for a portion of my stay but I didn’t get the full refund and when I brought it to her attention she said it’s not her problem and I have to go to VRBO when I contacted them they said since she reimbursed you directly there’s nothing we can do. So basically I got screwed big time. Very unprofessional and rude.

Dirty ,bugs, host very rude

I was verydisappointed. The area is beautiful. The place was dirty and there were flying bugs in the room. My granddaughter was stung and we were up for 4 hours killing the bugs. They were in our bed. The refrigerator, microwave, and kitchen supplies were in the bathroom Closet. We left the first night at 3am . The following day we picked up the rest of our belongings and I informed the host. She told me she was not feeling very "warm", told me to get my stuff and leave. She then slammed the door in my face. I have been in this area for over 30 years and have never been treated with such disrespect. The host initially told me she would refund me and days later said she would not because there are bugs outside and they get in the house. I understand this but they were in the Bed. In addition we had to clean the shower before we used it. We ended up going to Bell Rock Inn. Staff was amazing. We had a full kitchen, living room, bedroom, and 2 pools for about the same cost and NO BUGS. I would suggest never renting this house. Terri Stowell

Why they chose this property

This property is gorgeous - away from the busy town , and a home away from home for all who come here. All my guests love the area and the homey details of the cottage. This is not a hotel, but my guest bedroom. It is a really sweet room but a small room- with a tiny little kitchenette more or less just a fridge toaster oven, coffee maker and kettle. Rustic and country. The yard is amazing- the grassy area with seating and the quiet ( not including the sounds of nature) and the stars at night. Not for the hotel or glamorous city inclined

The atmosphere is away from it all, quiet tranquil and with the chickens and garden it has a farm vibe.
