So many spiders!
The property description does not state that it’s 2 bedrooms attached to the main living part of the house with the 3rd bedroom being separate. You need to walk out a door and walk a few steps outside to get to the door for the 3rd bedroom. As a family with small children, this was not an ideal situation. The 2 rooms inside weren’t large enough to accommodate our family of 5, so had to put my older 2 in the house and parents and youngest slept in the other bedroom.Unfortunately, my son got scared a few nights and luckily I heard him screaming for me.
Also, the house has a serious spider issue. My family has been to Nicaragua in the rainy season 3 years in a row. Never have we had the bug and creepy crawly issue we had here. And spoke to others staying in Hacienda Iguana and they didn’t either. In that 3rd separate bedroom, we always had the doors and windows closed because we used A/C. We believe the spiders were coming up the bathroom drains because not sure how else they got in. We had 1-2 large hairy crunchy spiders in our room daily. We also had a couple good sized scorpions in the house and that bedroom. There were a lot of daddy long legs around also, but those don’t bother us. They’re under the kitchen island, in the closets, ect. so check for them around.
The house has solar, but there’s no directions or guidance how to use it when the power goes out. This would have been helpful as power went out a lot and for long stretches.
