An Amazing Getaway

First and foremost, this property is an amazing house with picturesque views of the Smokey mountains and it's proximity to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. I would rent this property again. With that said, the property was in need of cleaning. The floors were mopped by my youngest daughter after noticing the bottoms of the kid's feet were black. There were other issues with cleanliness upon arrival with the trash cans and counter tops. Anti bacterial wipes were used to alleviate those issues. Some signs of small rodent activity were observed in the kitchen area but not excessive. Whomever is providing cleaning services maybe needs a pep talk or replaced. Now to address the issues of previous renters reviews, when inquired about, the manager of the property responded with all the issues had been mitigated by the owner. None had been mitigated upon our arrival. The owner may need to find new management as well. Still, we had a wonderful stay! You have my email address if you'd care to discuss any of this feedback.

Cozy Bear Christmas

The cabin itself was beautiful. There are some updates that need to be made in the house and it can be cleaned a bit more thoroughly. Location was about 25 minutes from the Gatlinburg strip and about 30-35 minutes from pigeon forge. The alarm did go off a few times during our stay but it was easy to turn it off. The beds were very comfortable and the outdoor seating area was perfect to hangout at night and have a drink. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Too dirty and broken to stay

We booked this cabin based on the pictures in the listing with high hopes. Unfortunately, it was not good. First the view depicted in the listing is not accurate. The cabin is located in a bit of a sketchy neighborhood and the view from the porch is of an RV park and run down mobile homes. Inside the unit, the furniture was covered in dust (with the exception of the kitchen and tables). The windows were so dirty it was hard to see out of them. We closed the blinds to avoid it. The ceiling fans were covered in thick dust and the blades were bending down. We tried to turn the one in the master bedroom on and dust flew everywhere. They are all dated and need to be replaced. There is a missing outlet cover in the master bedroom near the door to the porch. (I am assuming it's the same one that another reviewer mentioned from last year). All of the quilts on the beds were dirty, dusty, and stained. Good thing we brought our own blankets. All of the shower curtain liners had rips and there was a lot dark mold on all of them. The pool table was covered in debris and needs to be refelted and most of the pool cues are broken and have missing tips. The pool cue holder is also broken. There is an ADT panel that is aligned with the coded front door. This alarm would go off randomly day and night and will not stop until you enter the door code. The first time it happened was our first night there, which made us think that someone had tried to break in the house. (stayed up the rest of the night) The TV's are ridiculously hard to figure out. The volume in the living room tv only worked the first day. There are about 10 remotes for the movie theater and there were no instructions. Thankfully someone left a note in a drawer to help us figure it out. Turns out, you only need ONE of the remotes (the Xfinity one). The downstairs electric fireplace did not work at all. The grill was so disgustingly dirty that we couldn't use it. And last but not least, there was a dead mouse in the downstairs toilet. One adult and one child in our group have asthma. We were booked for 4 nights but had to leave after 2, because the amount of dust was a health risk. There were also so many amenities that we just couldn't use. The home has potential, but frankly in the condition it is in currently, it isn't work the cost. And just FYI- Grocery store- 20 min Gaitlinburg- 30 min and Pigeon Forge- 40 min. Prop mgt was quick to respond with text, but no action.

Great Location; Non-Maintained Cabin

Initially we booked this cabin because it met our needs for number of beds/bathroom, other amenities (hot tub, etc.) and for the views. Unfortunately this cabin did not meet expectations. On a positive note, the views from this cabin are quite pretty and each one of us commented on the comfort of the beds. The layout of the cabin is good, however, all the other cleanliness and maintenance issues negatively impacted our stay. At first, the door code did not work. We were able to get one very quickly, but the alarm to the house was going off. In fact, the alarm went off many times during our stay, sometimes at 3:00am. Next, there were dead bugs everywhere - in every room. Lamps were missing bulbs, fans did not have lights, one light was hanging by a line from the game room ceiling. Floors were dirty and bathrooms were not clean. Every shower curtain had mold on them. Toilet tissue holders broken or missing. The hot tub was broken and could not be fixed. There was food on the outside table and for the last night, we found a mouse in the movie room. We did call and maintenance came to fix some of the lights, but not without leaving a mess behind. Overall, we were very disappointed in this cabin. Sadly, it was definitely not worth what we paid for it considering all the problems.

Great location

Loved the cabin and the location. Location was awesome, close to towns however still had seclusive feeling. Few disappointing things about the cabin was it states combo tub/showers when traveling we 3 small children, tubs are a must and there was not a single tub, theater room was great, however all TVs and theater rooms we difficulty to work, multiple remotes with no guide or instructions manual. Did reach out to host and got a quick response and was able to get things working, works best with google chrome cast and luckily a family member was familiar with that. Great view!

Lacking Care

Home is nice, attention to detail, cleanliness, updates badly needed. Hot tub had error msg upon arrival and was not fixed until 3 days into stay. Floors in house are so dirty that we wore our shoes the entire stay. Manager said someone would come to clean and they never did. Poor communication with manager. Over 36 hours and multiple calls/messages without response. Some of the issues: Broken cupboards, missing light switch covers, non working ceiling fans, 1” gap under door in basement so critters could come in, garbage all over property, not weeded/mowed, hot tub mostly broken, no instructions for how to operate anything, no screens for windows/doors on main floor. Hundreds of dead ladybugs on window sills, missing towel bars in baths, broken garbage can in kitchen, loose patio stones which is a hazard, broken glass on patio by hot tub along with food, dust bunnies all around. The house itself is nice, but needs upkeep and care. Beautiful deck space and nice fire pit!

Relaxing and fun filled stay

This was my first cabin experience and it was amazing. There was a nice view of the mountains from the bedrooms and especially from the front porch (great time to drink coffee in the mornings). Everything was as listed and lived up to its name "cozy".

Spacious and well appointed cabin about 20 minutes east of Gatlinburg. Well equipped kitchen. Theatre, party and pool room. Outdoor porches, hot tub, and fire pit terrace. Beautiful views.

Friendsgiving

We stayed at the cabin over Thanksgiving week for Friendsgiving! We had 4 families all with kids and had an absolutely awesome time!! The cabin was amazing and everything we expected. The owners were responsive before our stay and during the satay you answer all our questions and resolve any of our minor issues that we had. There are bathrooms in/for every bedroom and each one had a king bed!!! There are bunk beds in the downstairs bedroom which are actually Queen bunk beds...I’ve never seen that!!! It was awesome having entertainment at the house when we didn’t want to go in town, there is a pool table, a hot tub and an unbelievable theatre room with high tech recliners. Only issue is that with all the technology it was confusing for some of the folks to get the TVs and the sound working and some of the remotes had dead batteries. If I was to change anything to make this house perfect, I would consider moving the hot tub to the main deck or off to the side of the house somewhere. The view is incredible for both sunrise and sunset, being able to better enjoy this in the hot tub would be amazing. Also, it would be awesome to be hanging out in the hot tub looking up at the stars. Everything was as the listing states so I won’t go into details, just trust the listing. In case anyone is worried about being far away from town, the drive wasn’t bad and Donna Jo’s market right down the road had pretty much anything we needed during our stay.

Nice Place

We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was nice and not far from Gatlinburg . The upstairs bathrooms are small but functional. Other than the knob breaking one of the showers, while we were there, everything was great. The outside grass needed some attention but the cabin was clean and well stocked. The movie and pool rooms were an added bonus that we enjoyed.

Great setup and property

We stayed 3 nights at the property. The house has a lot of advantages: - 4 bedrooms with King Size beds and bathrooms - One of the bedrooms also has a full-size bunk bed - Great views from the hot tub and decks - Gas Grill - Lots of tv's - Parking The owner provided frequent and helpful communications in advance of our stay. We'd return in a heartbeat.

Beautiful Location and Home, Cameras are a little much

This is a beautiful home, in an awesome location. No ruckus from the town . It is a little bit of a drive to get downtown but well worth it. The house was clean and looked great. The beds were comfortable, along with the couches, and rocking chairs on the porch make the morning coffee amazing. The only downsides we had with the this place were the amount of cameras everywhere and the weeds were out of control. We noticed a few cameras as we pulled up, and as the weekend went on we kept finding more, and more cameras. It definitely is a little uncomforting . The weeds in the back werent as big of a deal but the were way over grown by the fire pit. Overall if you can get past the cameras this place is Awesome, beautiful view and home. I would stay here again but would hope there is something more said about the cameras, or less of them.
