Backyard COZY Cottage in the heart of Houma!

COZY backyard private cottage studio in the heart of HOUMA!! We are Located 1/2 mi. North of the Houma Civic Center near the Intracoastal Waterway. We offer a beautiful space-perfect for a couple's getaway or business work trip! There is a lovely area with gardens, a fenced courtyard, and pool. The 322 sq ft. studio cottage includes Wifi, a full bathroom w/shower, and kitchenette, games, access to Netflix/Prime. Enjoy the patio full of plants, take a nap on the loungers , or simply unwind and relax and enjoy your view of cypress and magnolia trees with a glass of wine on the poolside patio. This recently remodeled cozy cottage is your home away from home while enjoying your bayou getaway!

cozy cabin

The cozy cabin had everything we needed for our two weeks stay. However, the air conditioner and the de-humidifier running 24/7 was loud and made it hard to hear the tv. Also it was annoying at night when trying to sleep. The owner's were excellent with communication and were great hosts.

Great stay in Houma!

My husband and I came to Houma for a wedding and the backyard cozy cottage was perfect for us! Everything was so cute and clean! I enjoyed having my coffee while enjoying the lovely backyard area. We highly recommend a stay at the cozy cottage! Also....do not miss out on a swamp tour with the swamp man in Gibson LA. Thanks for a great stay!

Quiet getaway

Such a nice little getaway spot! Very peaceful, beautifully decorated. SO QUIET. And coming from New Orleans, I was so glad it smelled nice! Host was easy to reach and helpful. We will stay again!

Cute Cozy Cottage

From time of arrival the location was quiet and nestled in an established neighborhood. Cottage was clean with amenities to include: towels, blankets, kitchenware, and bathroom items. My small furry children were welcomed and got to meet their little ones. We had access to the pool and hottub along with a parking spot in the driveway. My new location when visiting family in Louisiana.

Always a great stay

I’ve stayed here before and would definitely do it again. The cottage’s decor has a zen feel and is a comfortable size. It’s a very private and safe place in great location. Finally met Doug and Elise the hosts and they were so nice. Always made sure I had everything I needed.

Awesome Location & Super Clean

This beautiful cottage is in a great location and was super clean! We were attending a festival in downtown Houma and it was very close and in a great neighborhood. The location offers quick access to all the great restaurants the area offers. The owners were great to rent from and were very friendly and hospitable. Would highly recommend this rental and would certainly stay again in we want to visit the area again.

Cozy and Peaceful

Owner was very accommodating. We stayed in the pool our entire stay. We rarely saw anyone. Was the perfect stop before heading to Grand Isle to visit with family. If you have gluten allergies…Your Pie Pizza is amazing! And absolutely make a reservation at Cristiano Ristorante, amazing food!

Hot Tub Heaven

Of all the things we did in Louisiana, using the hot tub each night was my 8 year old son's favorite part of our trip when I asked. The pool house was pretty close to perfect for us and drive able to several things we planned on doing in the area. The pool was a little chilly but my son did use it a couple of times for a short period of time. The pool house itself was cozy, clean, and functional. Mr. Ronnie's donuts is worth checking out and get your beignets from Downtown Jeaux's. Stop at Bayou Terrebonne Waterlife Museuem for history on the area, but also the lady there gave several recommendations for the area and surrounding areas. Also, had a great drive to Grand Isle Beach and saw tons of jellyfish and watch hermit crabs on the beach. Only downside is the parking area is a little narrow up by the pool house (I drive a Nissan Titan), but we parked out on the road during the day to lessen having to slide in between the carport column and bushes. It would not keep me from coming back though! Elise was also very gracious with my son when he went on his "morning walks" in the backyard. Great place and great time was had in Houma.

I am a stay home mother of two 18 -year-old boy - girl twins. I have been a resident in Houma, Louisiana which is about 60 miles SW of New Orleans. I was a teacher/librarian but I am now retired. I am currently working on a degree in interior design and I make and sell various types of jewelry. I love gardening, cooking , I enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends. I have been married for 8 years and my husband has 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren. We have 3 small dogs- the mom Molly , the dad- Rex ,and their baby Pongo. We love our home and we'd love to have you as a guest!

Why they chose this property

We bought this home because we fell in love with the front of the house and the backyard. It is very peaceful and private. Bird watching is a must! The sound of the waterfall in the pool can soothe one's soul and help to relax and unwind.
