Nice owner & location. House needs work!

So many things need attention. Many doors stick & won't open or close tight. Many door handles & locks need replaced. Many windows & window cranks need replaced. Most furniture & mattresses need replaced. Some family came for short stay & slept in chairs, or on air mattresses. Floors in #2 & #3 bedroom have only painted floors no tile or flooring. Even some paint is flaked off floors. Few if any window shades actually open or close properly. When arrived 1 tolet, freezer in refrigerator in kitchen , & washer was not operating properly. Icemaker never worked. We bought ice. Although not major but the pool light never worked. Owner should mention that she has car parked in garage at angle so you cant park in it. Screen enclosure around pool is nice & brand new! Concrete area by water with chairs & table nice. Although my wife couldnt use it due to no arm rails along the 8 or 10 steps leading down to the area. We are glad to pay little more for our place next year.

Perfect

My family stayed for 8 days. Everything was great we had plenty of room for all of us. Beds were very comfortable. We loved all of the boat traffic and did see a few dolphins. My boys enjoyed fishing from the canal. It was a very quiet peaceful neighborhood. We will definitely stay again.

Our first stay in Cape Coral

We so enjoyed our stay here. It was the first extended stay in Florida. The location provided such a beautiful view every day….and the heated pool was the topper! There was plenty of space for the four of us!

Great location. Quiet neighborhood.

The house has a nice big kitchen and living space separating the bedrooms on each end of It. There’s 2 large refrigerators which came in handy. There’s a boat rental company on the end of the canal which made it easy for us to rent a pontoon for the day. The host Patracia responded quickly to a couple of minor issues we had. The pool enclosure is in need of replacement and the outside of the house has some minor damage due to the recent hurricane, but it didn’t have any effect on our stay. We had a great time and would stay there again.

Great getaway from the Snow!

The property was in a very quiet neighborhood and we had a wonderful time. Due to the hurricane, the lani was a little damaged, but the host Patricia is in the process of getting it fixed. It did not affect our use of the pool or the rest of the property for our stay. Another great feature, the pool is heated, so even on a chilly day we could still enjoy it. Checkin was easy and convenient with a lockbox to access the property keys. A great way to escape the snow and winter!

Nice view but was told the pool was perfect and there was no heat till the last four days of our 33

The owner needs to have someone check on things so when quests come everything is working like dishwasher pool BBQ property needs tlc should not be left up to quests to call her everyday to fix something ...

Great Stay and fabulous pool and canal

We have been staying in Cape Coral for the past 7 years, this by far, was the best pool and canal location. We thoroughly enjoyed watching all the boat traffic, we even saw a dolphin a couple times. The location is great and close to many restaurants and shopping and the neighborhood was very quiet. The house does need a little TLC and a few updates but all and all it was a very clean and comfortable home. It was exactly as pictured. Patricia was a great host and helped with anything we needed. Great location

Location is great. Busy canal to watch boat traffic pass by, from the pool and lanai. Large and open home. Big kitchen area. On arrival we found the floors were dirty, so bought extra Swiffer pads and cleaned for a couple days, including wet mopping. After a few weeks (we stayed a month), we realized that leaving the lanai door open into the living room was the cause of floor dirt. It just wafts in, not much you can do about it. Two fold-out sofas in the living room provide extra sleeping area, which we didn’t need as there were only two of us. Unfortunately, having both couches be fold-outs, meant that there wasn’t a comfortable couch to sit on. After a month, that became a sore (?!) spot. Kitchen fridge blew a computer board end of week three, so we lived out of the extra fridge in the garage. I read from an earlier renter, that the same fridge conked out a year earlier. Not Patricia’s problem, the fridge is huge and relatively new, just bad luck. Our repair guy was nice. Also reading earlier posts, the mentioned list of rules of the house was no longer there. Previous renter broke the bed frame in the master bedroom. Patricia ordered a new one and I put it together. Easy enough. Décor is somewhat lacking, Joyce would say it needs some TLC. Pillows and colors would help. Cosmetic. After all that, we had a very nice time. Again, the location is great. Sit on the lanai drinking coffee in the morning and do crossword puzzles while watching boats. Tanqueray tonics in the afternoon. Grill on the huge BBQ grill. We would come again. Thanks Patricia. Nice Water Canal Front Rental

The location was great. Real close to the river in a great neighborhood. We rented a boat for part of our stay and we could be to the river in a couple of minuets. Close to everything you would want to do as well. The Livingroom opens into the Lanai and pool area what a wonderful place to relax, and we did. Will likely be back again. Thanks Dave

the property was very comfortable, always something to watch on the canal. Lovely quiet residential neighbourhood. The property could do with a little Maintenace/TLC in places but overall no major complaints

On our initial inspection everything seemed ok. With the exception of the master bath room door not working- which she said would be fixed during our stay. The contractor came once and never again which we appreciated because being available for him to be there was an inconvenience. Not sure if he would have had access without us there. The refrigerator went out during our stay and the repair man wasn’t professional. In fact he requested our Assitance in repair, left doors open for children to run out of, and ultimately didn’t fix it. There is a garage refrigerator that was much smaller but we managed with cooler and getting ice daily for our drinks. The garbage cans are kept in the garage however and were unclean so flies became an issue as you were going out to the garage for a snack and made meal prep challenging. The house rules were printed on a crumpled stained and torn paper, telling us not to lower the thermostat below 75…in southwest Florida, but didn’t offer any insight to the area instead was a coldly written list of rules. During my stay the queen bed broke while my teen was sleeping, we paid for the repair. However we were confused as to how she could bend and bust the rivets off. Also please note that the second king bed was a split king that they request in the instructions that you do not move. Overall the stay wasn’t terrible. You’re a quick 25 minutes from the beach and lots of activities. You’re not far from bustling downtown areas and grocery stores and gas stations. The house was very clean on our arrival and has been somewhat updated. The neighborhood was quiet. The owner was easy to reach, nice and responsive to issues. She offered us a free night stay if we booked for 15 days due to the inconvenience. I don’t think we’ll be traveling to the area, let alone this home again but noting the sentiment was important.

The lanai / outdoor area is delightful!

We spent a month at this property and we are so happy we found it! Our favorite thing to do was to spend time on the lanai and enjoy coffee, meals, sun bathing, swimming and watching boat traffic pass through. We even saw a few dolphins!! We did visit several beaches in the area but know that most of them are at least a 20-30 minute drive depending on traffic. We also visited several preserves in the area (also 20-30 minutes away) and enjoyed the sunshine and wildlife. I would definitely recommend this property as it was very spacious and located in a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen itself was huge with a beautiful granite countertop, stainless steel appliances and a lot of dishes available. The master bed/bath is located on one side of the property and the 2nd & 3rd bedroom and bathroom are on the other side so there is privacy if you are traveling with others. I would point out that some of the finishing are a little dated but who cares when you spend most of your time outdoors. Thank you Patricia for sharing your home with us! Mike & Tammy

House needs little attention

Right on canal and has kayak, 2 person raft, and 2 bikes with beautiful pool that is heated with solar panels (so you can use it in the mid to high 60’s🙂) but quite a drive to the beach. There were lots of little issues with the house such as many light bulbs burned out or didn’t work, lots of chipped paint, etc. The rugs are very old and need replacing in bathroom. We found very dirty beach towels in closet. We had no cable the first few days and spent a beautiful afternoon of vacation waiting for the cable man. The owner was very responsive and tried to rectify the situation from far away as best she could. Overall we still had a wonderful time there and loved being right on the canal and enjoyed having use of bikes, etc. The kitchen also had almost all the spices you could need for cooking. But, they definitely need a couple more skillets or at least a griddle. With a little more attention to detail this place will be beautiful. We loved Cape Coral area and Ford Garage had best hamburgers ever. If you have a boat delivered for rental, the house is just a couple short minutes to the River leading to Gulf. There is only a tv in the master and living room. 😕

Very comfortable, and very clean.

This place sleeps many! Big family! We enjoyed our stay. We had wild life to enjoy and canoes to go onto water with. A pool so we didnt have to get sandy every day! Plenty kitchen room. It makes it nice to be able to cook your own food! We just enjoyed it. It was like a home away from home! Laundry on site.

Great Vacation Rental

Our family of nine enjoyed our stay at this wonderful vacation rental. The home was as described and had plenty of room for our large group. It was equipped with everything we needed to make it "our" home for the week. We enjoyed the pool and lanai and spent most of our time out there. The kids also enjoyed the included wifi and cable tv. The home is located in a great neighborhood and is a quick commute to local outlet malls, restaurants and beaches. The owner was easy to contact and very receptive to any concerns/advice that we had. We will definitely recommend this property to others and would rent again if we returned to the area.

(Just an FYI ...The last VRBO guest in February unfortunately was faced with appliances not working, something that gives no forewarning...this was attended to immediately but unfortunately affected his impression. It was simply something that could not have been attended to until there was a problem. The prior guests from Airbnb, left days before these guests arrived, had a fabulous time. and everything was in working order. They gave an excellent review. It was simply bad luck. By far the most appealing attribute for this house is its physical location...on a wide open canal 1 block to river to ocean. Beautiful view!! Boat watching is a favorite activity. South exposure to enjoy large heated pool, good for laps! On a cul-de-sac quiet and safe for children to ride a bike around a large circle. Kayaks are available to enjoy in the canal. fishing rods are at the house. If you are looking for peaceful setting, located at the end of a cul de sac no traffic noise and enjoy watching boats go by, or taking your own boat out to the river & sea, this is the place for you!!
