Stayed here while we fished Gaston. The home is just as advertised, clean and well stocked. Ample space in the drive to maneuver truck and trailer. There is a very convenient boat ramp about 2 miles away. The boat lift was an added nicety and held our 21' Bassboat perfectly. The host was very easy to communicate with.
The view was breathtaking. The home was spotless and so well-decorated and comfortable. Location was central to what we wanted to do at Lake Gaston. We cooked in and the kitchen had everything we needed. We grilled which was so nice being outside in the evening. We did a firepit (we hit a great weather week) overlooking the water and enjoyed the front sunroom most of all. We paddle boated, kayaked, and sunbathed at the dock. We rented a boat for two days and the property was easy to get to by water and had a great dock for parking the boat at night. Zero complaints about our stay. Everything was perfect!!
Our stay was definitely too short and we hope to rent again. In the area for just the weekend. The view from the sunroom is just amazing - watch the sunrise with a cup of coffee. The place is small but the space is well utilized and just as pictured-very cozy. We had everything we needed to cook a few meals. Plenty of towels. Some starter paper goods, etc. The owner was quick to respond when we weren't sure in the dark as to which house we should be at. My only suggestion is to get there while it is still daylight.
This cozy cottage was exactly as advertised and we had a wonderful time. The decorations and appliances were all updated and the ambiance provided the perfect stay-cation away from the world during the Lake Gaston off season. I will recommend to family and friends.
We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was perfect for a quiet, relaxing week away. It's a small house, but perfect for 1 couple. It's very cute and we loved the location. Highly recommend staying here!
Cute tiny home right on a small cove in the lake with a dock and shoreline great for water/recreational play. The view from the three-season room was beautiful - especially mornings and evenings. Full fridge and washer/dryer but no dishwasher and there is not much storage so pack light and be prepared to run out for amenities/food when you get there. Located 5 mins from Food Lion (the only grocery game in town) and 10 mins from the marina, the location couldn't be better. We had a fun little family week here and our small children had a blast exploring the yard, bank and fishing off the dock. Happy with our stay!
Nice and cozy place to chill and relax from this turbulent world. Very clean and has all the amenities that has the feel of home. Outstanding place to chill!!
My wife and I, along with my 5yo son and 7mo daughter really enjoyed our stay. The house was accurately represented and the host is responsive. The space is tight, especially the bedrooms, but the most is made of the space available and we don't mind the coziness. Not having a dishwasher was not that much of an inconvenience and we cooked and ate all our meals at the house with the well supplied kitchen.
Great location and setup! Went up for a relaxing weekend and it was very relaxing. The views were amazing. The setup with the porch, firepit area, and the boat dock was amazing
This was our first family vacation to Lake Gaston and it did not disappoint! The property is perfect for relaxing, fishing, swimming, and having nighttime fires! The inside views were what you see on postcards and i am definitely going to miss having morning coffee in the sun room watching the sunrise! The house is stocked with everything you could possibly need and very close to all stores and shops! We can’t wait to make quail shores a yearly tradition! Thanks for making our first vacation one time remember!
The property was beautiful, extremely clean and well decorated, and the views of the lake from the front room and porch were unmatched. Communication with the owners was very easy and they always responded quickly, they truly did all they could to make us feel at home during our stay. We could not have asked for a better vacation, I only wish we could have stayed longer!
Our stay here was lovely! Nice and quiet property with great lake access for launching our kayaks. The beds were comfy, though the box springs were quite squeaky when you moved. Overall, it was a lovely little place we'd gladly stay at again!
My husband and I enjoyed staying here. He loved the dock and the boat lift for his fishing boat. I loved the sunroom for relaxing with my favorite book and enjoying the beautiful lake scenery! Bedrooms are a little small but we slept in one and used the other for our suitcase. Thank you Jacob for allowing us to stay!
This lake house is awesome. It is very well maintained and has all the accommodations that you'll need for a relaxing time. The view of the lake is amazing, even from inside the house. The outdoor seating is plentiful and is a great spot to enjoy your morning coffee. Although the host has a few fishing poles for use, I found them in need of replacement. Be sure to bring your own tackle/bait as I didn't see any (I could have overlooked it though).
I look forward to planning another trip out here in the near future!!
We absolutely loved our stay here! They were super response and helpful when we needed assistance with an unforeseen plumbing issue- got it taken care of on a Saturday!! They even allowed us to stay an extra night for the inconvenience. We were very impressed and thankful. We will absolutely stay here again.
The view from the sunroom is everything we wanted and more! We sat out there all day.
The bedrooms are small and wouldn’t fit a pack n play or even your suitcase very well. It was perfect for two of us as we could put our suitcase on the other bed in the second bedroom.
The bathroom is not a shower/tub combo, just a standing shower. It was very nice and roomy!
One thing we didn’t know before arriving- you can bring your own casting device for the tv in the sunroom. We would’ve loved to have been able to do that.
The kitchen was well stocked and all paper products provided.
An absolutely fantastic place!! Perfect for a romantic getaway, and would be fun for a small family in the summer time too.
