Spectacular Mount Hood View Home--Sleeps 10

Our luxurious and comfortable mountain home is located on 10 quiet acres at the base of Mt. Hood. With 3,500 square feet and two living areas to spread out and relax, our modern, single story house is ideal for families or group retreats and meetings. Our professionally decorated home features vaulted ceilings, 3 fireplaces (1 each of wood burning, gas burning, and wood stove), and a spacious, fully-equipped gourmet kitchen. The dining table seats 8, but can be easily expanded to seat 12 or more. There is an attached two car garage, which includes a 240 volt plug-in for an electric car and a workbench for ski tuning. It was also featured in Oregon Home Magazine.

AMAZING
Can't even begin to express thanks to Kathy for sharing such a beautiful home in an absolutely wonderful location. We had family stay with us & hosted our daughter & fiancées rehearsal dinner. Everything was & is spectacular. We only hope to stay again strictly for relaxation! Another huge plus to the property... The Views!

Beautiful Home Exceeded Our Expectations!
We were pleasantly surprised by this beautiful home. It is was so much larger than we expected. The house can easily accommodate 12+ people. It is well equipped and very comfortable. The setting of the house is gorgeous. We spent a great deal of time on the deck enjoying the spectacular view of Mt. Hood. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a great vacation in the Mt. Hood area.

Perfect Place
We stayed here last summer with our families from out of town and had a small celebration of our wedding. It's an absolutely amazing spot - secluded, quiet, great view. The house itself is great too, big enough to have your own space even if you're with a large group. The owner was probably the most helpful I've worked with and super friendly. We didn't have much chance to get out and explore, but we frequent the area and know that there are tons of outdoor activities nearby. Parkdale (right up the road) is a sweet little town with a grocery store and a small brewery. We'll definitely stay here again, hopefully some time soon.

Thanksgiving Blessings
This is an amazing house with an incredible view of Mt. Hood. The pictures don't do justice to the house. It is a very wel-coming, spacious and comfortable house with plenty of room for children to play outdoors or in, all ages to watch t.v. or choose not to, sit and read, do a puzzle, enjoy meals all together...or just look at the mountain. Our grandchildren, age 8 and under, were constantly on the lawn swing that faces the Mt. and is a seat from a chairlift. We did not have snow at the house but did not have to drive too far to find a place to play in the snow. Our college football team even won while we were there to watch on T.V. Such a wonderful few days in this very odd year. Grateful for Thanksgiving blessings!

Great family vacation
Wonderful place to celebrate my parent's 60th wedding anniversary. The house was beautiful and well stocked with plenty of space to gather and also spread out when people needed a little space. Loved our long weekend there. Thank you!!

Snow-cation 2021
This is a beautiful space in a beautiful place. Everyone had room to be alone when they wanted and there was plenty of room to gather together too. We loved the hallway for putting on and removing all the gloves, snow pants and hats. It doubled as a playroom too. We had the good fortune to arrive while there was only a little snow then Mother Nature just buried us in over 2 feet of snow in just over 24 hours. We were grateful that Kathy had the driveway plowed... While we have snow tires, our cars do not sit high enough to clear the amount of snow we saw!

Better than Grandma's House
This was our second Thanksgiving at this home, though this year was a week after Thanksgiving to fit schedules. My husband and myself, a son and daughter-in-law and 4 children, and another son who is single. The nine of us are very comfortable in this house. The children have a bunk room close to their parents' room and a bathroom, our other son has his own room with bathroom nearby and we have our own suite also!! The great room is truly great in size and view, with a wall of windows to the South that look at the north side of Mt. Hood. The open kitchen, dining room and large family room with fireplace are all right there. There is an adjoining T.V. room on that south side, on the backside of the fireplace. The property, besides having a great view, is also wooded and the children love exploring with an adult who also likes to explore! The favorite place in the yard is the chairlift lawn swing facing the mountain. I sat out there myself just to soak up some November sunshine that came with the wonderful view! We also got to ride the Mt. Hood Railroad which had been cancelled last year! This house is way better than "grandma's house" for making great memories at Thanksgiving.

ALL ONE LEVEL
This home was perfect for our three day family birthday celebration. Within our group of 7, 3 were over the age of 80 and would not have been able to navigate stairs. The rooms and bathroom layout worked well. It's a beautiful place and everyone enjoyed the "real" fire in the fireplace. The firewood was generous and well seasoned. We stayed in early November so we took a day trip up to Timberline lodge and enjoyed the history of the place. If your stay is in July or August, you may want to consider that there is no air conditioning.

Wonderful home away from home
This place was a dream for our family. It’s remote location gave us peace and rejuvenation while also being only 10 minutes to Cooper Spur for family skiing. Stocked with all sorts of toys and games for kids and adults. Beautiful artwork. Cozy couches and chairs with plenty of room for everyone. Highly recommend.

Best ever house for families
Incredible time. House is huge and sprawling - photos don’t do it justice. We were three couples with 5 kids among us ages 5, 4, 4, 2, and 1. The house has more than enough room for 3 families to be comfortable and have privacy. There’s a huge main living area with multiple tables, open concept well appointed kitchen (we cooked all weekend and they had everything), and a separate tv room with another big couch that was great for sequestering the older kids for a movie night. All bedrooms were nice and spread out from each other and two of the rooms had closets big enough to fit a pack n play for a baby. The older kids were obsessed with the bunk bed room. There are tons and tons of kids toys, books, outdoor equipment, all suitable for pre-K ages. Also lots of books and board games for older kids. Seriously such a great house for families, about a 20 minute drive to multiple snow parks for tubing. Also lots of outdoor space to run around. I would 100% come back here with a group any time of year.

Amazing property and home with Mt. Hood view
The perfect home layout for multiple families with kids, lots of room to spread out and not feel cramped. We loved the property and view of Hood, we spent both nights playing games in front of the fire, Kids enjoyed running all over house with its multiple long hallways and the bunk room was a huge hit. A good home base for exploring Hood River and Mt. Hood. The only tiny complaint would be that the house had a bit of cigarette smoke smell in some of the rooms, but opening up windows for a bit helped. We would definitely rent again though, really lovely architecture and view!

Super. 2 ft of snow. Close to ski slopes. Lots of snow toys for grandkids. Clean, well supplied, WiFi for younger generations, lots of room, rooms, bathrooms, fireplaces, board games new to us, well heated, appointed and room to lounge and enjoy. TV hardly used.
