Direen Cottage
Janet left us delicious honey and eggs from Eamon’s and her farm, much appreciated, and a good supply of peat for the 2 fireplaces (which we didn’t need). The “cottage” is a 3 bedroom house, and was very clean and well supplied. Enjoyed some breakfasts on the sunny mornings outside. We enjoyed fishing and walking at Fermoyle Beach, and walks in to Loch Duin, Brandon Point and Glanteenassig Forest. Ireland is lush, and spectacularly beautiful. I hope to return.

Private, comfortable retreat
Direen cottage provides easy access to both the bustling town of Dingle and the quieter Brandon Bay side of the peninsula. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Janet responded quickly to any questions we had. We hope to visit again someday.

Ideal Base For Exploring Dingle Area
Direen Cottage is enveloped in a naturalistic style garden which was an absolute joy for our children to explore. The house itself is very well maintained and obviously cared for, it is homely and welcoming and contains everything you could need for a comfortable holiday. We loved that the house is in an ideal location for touring the local landscape; Castlegregory, The Maharees, Dingle, Slea Head etc. Our hosts were friendly and communicative and the welcome gift of locally produced artisan brown bread and Heather honey was a heartwarming touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and very much hope to return.

Home From Home
I had a great time in Direen Cottage. The cottage was very clean, spacious, and well equipped. Both Janet & Eamonn were lovely and very helpful, Also, the heather honey that Janet left for us was delicious. It was so nice to be able to bring our 2 dogs. The cottage is very close to some amazing beaches and beautiful countryside. I would highly recommend Direen Cottage. I have already booked another visit this year, can't wait to return.

Delightful cabin in the woods
Wonderfully appointed historic cottage. Plenty of room for our 4 guests with room to spare. Quiet spot in the woods with a creek right next to us along with a rope swing for the kids, or adults if they so please. The book of local activities was greatly appreciated, as was the history of the cabin.

Soothing sound of the creek
The property was perfectly located to explore the town of Dingle, and a short drive to the sea. Half hour ride from the cottage over Conner Pass to Dingle was beautiful. The cottage was very spacious, and the kitchen had everything you needed to prepare meals.

Perfect get-away
The property was a perfect get-away for us. The cottage is like a farmhouse with a large kitchen, three large bedrooms and two bathrooms. It is located about ten minutes from a small village on the ocean with the delightful O'Connor guesthouse/pub we enjoyed. The proximity to the Connor Pass over to Dingle and back made for an adventurous day-trip. Janet was responsive to our requests and had a lovely welcome treat for us. The home was welcoming and clean.

Wonderful Dads and Lads Trip!
We enjoyed the cottage as a home base for a few days while we explored cliffs, hikes, and finding our old family homestead. The cottage was a cozy warm place to come back to, secluded and away from all the hustle and bustle. We loved it!

Lovely, traditional cottage in a superb location. Very well equipped. Beautiful beach nearby which was ideal for dog walking. Lots to do in Dingle if you're brave enough to travel over the pass.

The Perfect Get away home.
Our 2 week vacation at the beautiful stone home in Cloghane was Awesome. The home was very clean and the heating system was perfect, always very comfortable. What I loved about the home most was the privacy. There are no other homes nearby so it was The perfect Get-Away home. If you want to get into the village of Cloghane it only takes 5 mins by car, we loved to walk to the village breathing in the air and taking in all the sites at a slower pace. If you want to do shopping Dingle was 20 min away. Dingle is great for shopping and visiting the pubs and restaurants,. One night we went to hear local Irish tradition music at Killigans pub,I highly recommend visiting there and have a pint or 2 of Guinness. The Brandon, Cloghane area have the most beautiful country side I have ever seen. You have the mountains to your back and the Wild Atlantic Ocean in front of you. Fermoyle beach is just down the road where people surf and kite board.,We loved the home and area so much we plan on going back and staying for a month. Next year. That says it all I think.

Direen Cottage provided a cozy and convenient location for us to explore the whole Dingle Peninsula. Only 15 minutes over the Conor Pass to Dingle, or a five minute drive to beautiful sandy Fermoyle Beach. Quiet and comfortable.

This house worked very well for us.....
The house was a great base for us to visit all our favourite places and very practical. It had everything we needed although if it had been wet, a dryer would have been useful with children and wet towels etc. Everything worked well and the beds were very comfortable. A great house and a lovely holiday. Thank you very much.

February stay in Kerry
All good, the weather was wet but no surprise there. The cottage was warm and had everything we needed. I only have one small recommendation, and that is to improve the parking space as we were constantly treading in squishy muck getting into and out of the car, especially at night. Otherwise it was all good and we had a great time.
