About this property

Newly built 6-bedroom private lakehouse on a secluded road with a private inlet and your own sandy beach. Bright cottage with easy access to large lawn for games, beach with a shallow walk-in area for kids. Enjoy outdoor fires or the spacious deck for relaxing. A variety of water toys for all ages - paddleboards, kayaks, canoe, paddleboat and water mat. Lakehouse has AC, WiFi, satellite TV and stereos. Large patio and table for outside enjoyment.

There are six bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. There are enough beds to comfortably sleep up to 16 people. There are 4 bedrooms on the second floor, two with private bathrooms and two with a shared bathroom. The master has a king bed and a twin day bed and a private ensuite with bath and shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed with a full private ensuite. The third & fourth bedrooms have queen beds (one with one bed another with two) and share a full bathroom. The remaining two bedrooms are on lower level. Both are very large dorm-style bedrooms with three queen beds in each - great space for the kids and teens.

Large dining table with lake views - allows large groups (16+) to comfortably eat together. Another table outside if you want to enjoy the weather. A spacious, fully equipped kitchen for the inspiring gourmet - includes an espresso machine, mixer, blender, rice cooker, gas and charcoal BBQ, and plenty of cooking supplies, serving dishes and a dishwasher.

Lots of room for games both inside and outside. There is a pool table, ping pong table, foosball and air hockey table. Outside there is a kid play structure, water toys, and a large lawn for games. Or just relax and enjoy the spectacular sunrises on the deck.

You can't beat the location. It is 5 minutes away from Bobcaygeon. You are minutes from Foodland or Value Mart, the LCBO and Beer Store, the local butcher, and the Farmer's Market (October to May). Tired of cooking - Bobcaygeon has several restaurants or have a pizza delivered to the lakehouse. The streets and shops are busy all summer, with many local events to participate in.

I do not host weddings or large parties, this is a family neighbbourhood.

Bobcaygeon

We had a wonderful time at this home and would have given the location more stars except for the fact Pigeon Lake is very shallow. We were told ahead of time but didn’t think it would be that shallow and for such a long distance. We had great difficulty getting the boat out to deeper water and once out there we found it choppy most of the time so not suitable for water skiing.

Amazing retreat

A group of 10 rented this location to celebrate a friend’s accomplishment. The landscape is exquisite and the property is beautiful. It was so easy to connect with kelly as well. We brought our own supplies however, we’re surprised to find that every thing we needed was already supplied, and in large quantity. We had an amazing time and hope one day to be able to go during the summer season as well.

Spectacular! Amazing! You will not be disappointed!!!

This incredible Lakehouse surpassed our dreams & expectations!! It was clean, spacious, well stocked with everything we could possibly need, and just the most beautiful place ever!! Excellent for our gathering of 13 ladies who gathered to celebrate 45 years since graduating from Nursing school! Lots to do at the Lakehouse, or in nearby Bobcaygeon! The owner (Kelly) could not have been any more helpful & supportive; quick to respond to any correspondence from me. It truly was a wonderful weekend in every way! I can’t wait to go back again!!

Reunion

This house has perfect main floor space. Large rooms, high ceilings, the best well stocked kitchen. The outdoor space had plenty of seating areas, both in sun and shade. The six of us had a wonderful time by the firepit, enjoying the amazing sound system inside, etc. Kelly was an attentive host. Thank you so much for sharing this home.

Amazing Property

Kelly’s place was perfect for our group with 3 families including young children. The house has everything we needed including very spacious rooms, comfortable beds and tons of activities. The property itself is equally incredible with the back area perfect for us to play games, enjoy the private sand beach and water. Overall it was even better than expected, thanks Kelly

Great stay despite power outage

Lucky to have a generator that kept some lights and fridge on, survived about 28 hours of power outage during the Victoria day storm. In general the Property is very well equipped with kitchen supplies, games, water toys, linens. Loved the long dining table that fitted all 15 of us! Upstairs room with great views, just could get a little hot with the daytime sun. Kelly was very organized host and provided us with a lot of detailed information and instructions about the house, she was also very responsive whenever we have a question. Would highly recommend the property.

Amazing family get together!

STUNNING! I cannot say enough good things about this property. It is even better than the pictures show. We stayed for a family get together with 10 adults and 5 kids and we had plenty of room. The common areas are big enough for everyone to gather or there are so many areas in the house that you can also have some peace and quiet if needed. The kids absolutely loved the basement! With ping pong, air hockey and their own tv room, they stayed busy the whole time. The house was immaculate when we arrived and the host , Kelly, was always available for any questions. I highly recommend this property!

LOVE IT!!!!

I loved the place, it is exactly as seen in the pictures. Kelly was a great host, fast replying and very accommodating. I didn’t have to walk with anything but my clothes and food, the cottage is fully loaded. I would definitely rent there again!

50th year golf outing and cottage hang out.

Supposed to be in Arizona for a 50th birthday year golf outing but relocated to the kawarthas due to Covid. The house is immaculate. Lots of room to spread out indoors and out. Pool table, large lawn and ping pong table made for all sorts of games when not golfing. Good thing the basement is cool as the ping pong was heated. Beautiful sunrise directly across the lake should you be up early. So many muskoka chairs for sitting on the deck, by the fire, or on the dock without having to move them around. You won’t be disappointed. Baxter creek and the Quarry are the public golf courses of choice in the area, but there are several private courses should you have an in. So close to bobcaygen as well. One quibble with getting rid of garbage having to go to the dump with garbage in your car. Cleaning crew should be able to take care of that for you somehow. All in all a great time.

Amazing!!

This property is amazing! Kelly was a great host who anticipated all of our needs. Our young kids loved the cottage - especially the water mat, paddle boat and fishing from the dock. The kitchen had EVERYTHING you could ever want or need. Highly recommend and we can’t wait to come back. Thank you Kelly!

Family reunion

This property is absolutely perfect. It’s better than the pictures show. We had 10 adults for a family reunion and there was more than enough space for everyone. We really enjoyed getting out on the kayaks and that massive table allowed all of us to sit comfortably around and eat and play games. Kelly was more than easy to work with and very accommodating. I have booked the next 2 years already because this gem books up fast. I can’t wait to bring my grandkids here next year.

Great, quiet location. Perfect for kids and large groups of people.

We recently stayed at the property for a week with 6 adults and 3 kids. When we first arrived we were in awe at how large the home was. 6 bedrooms with multiple beds in each. Enough to accommodate large groups of people and multiple families. Many of the rooms had bathrooms attached which was great and added to the privacy when necessary. The home was fully stocked with all your needs for the week (towels, soap, shampoo, water toys etc). The kitchen was completely stocked with all the cook ware, utensils, cups, bowls, plates...all you would need and more!! Check in was a breeze and check out was as well. The owner provided you with all the details you need for the week in an email and I did not have to check in with her at all through the week. The outside/beach area was kept up well. Some weeds and poop in the beach area but this is expected with all the wildlife. We had ducks visit daily, a mink was spotted numerous times, we caught many crayfish and minnows and lots of baby frogs. The water is warm and shallow. Be careful when you first walk in as there is a spongy spot right near the shore that if you step on it, you will sink in quite deeply. We learned to avoid that area quite quickly and you can tell when you step where it will do that. We all used the provided water toys (water mat, kayaks, paddle board) and it was a blast!! The location could not be better. So close to Bobcaygeon (Bigleys, and the lift locks were a hit). You could Kayak out quite far and it is still very shallow (Pigeon lake is known for being shallow). Lots of boat traffic to watch across the lake, no where near where the property is located. Rooms on the main floor are well laid out. A pool table, and sitting area is great for board games. The tv room was small but inviting. The basement had lots of sleeping space and games to play as well. It can get COLD in the basement so bring slippers. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and recommend this property to others.

Excellent cottage for large group and for families with young children

Excellent cottage for a large group such as ours - group of couples with small children and one set of active grandparents. Beds very comfortable, and bedrooms far enough apart to give everyone privacy. Wonderful to have so many well-placed bathrooms too. The beautiful kitchen is the best equipped we've ever rented. Huge dining room table where everyone could sit comfortably. Private location with beautiful view. The boat traffic is on the other side of the lake so it's fun to watch them go by but can't hear the noise. Very short drive to Bobcaygeon's shops (shoes!) restaurants and Thurs evening live music in the park. AC was much appreciated. Two small quibbles - the beach maintenance guy hadn't come the week before, so we did the raking ourselves, and they could use blackout curtains on a couple more of upstairs bedroom windows.

I deal with all of our renters directly to help you plan and answer questions during your stay. This lakehouse is NOT part of a property management company. We do not host weddings or parties - it is meant for friends and family to get together.

Why they chose this property

This property offers something for everyone. Plenty of space outside to relax. Shallow waters for small kids. Lots to do on the water - canoe, paddleboard, kayak, or water mat. And lots to do inside - play pool, ping pong, fose ball or air hockey. There is a large kitchen for those that want to cook and an extra-large table so everyone can eat together as well. There are many entertaining areas inside - two TV rooms, games room, living room, and kitchen space. And a selection of areas to relax outside from the deck, outdoor patio, beach, or hammock.

Although you will feel like you are away at a cottage you are only minutes from town which comes in very handy if you want to pick up groceries, beer, ice cream or go for dinner.
