Beautiful, massive home - pictures don't do it justice!

Great house! Everyone was pleasantly surprised when we arrived, the pictures really don't do justice to how large and beautiful the house is, particularly the downstairs living room/kitchen area. The backyard is also massive. The two master bedrooms are very large as well, and the other bedrooms were spacious as well. House is very clean, feels new, and central air conditioning controlled by Nest was great for the summer heat! Plenty of cookware and utensils, double oven, plus the grill meant we had no problem cooking for a large group. Plenty of bathrooms as well, no issues there. Lisa was super communicative and responsive, was able to answer all my questions with ease, and accommodate any issues we had such as early arrivals. The only (very minor) things to be aware of... these were NOT problems, just something I felt should be included in the house documentation: -Bring your own charcoal if you plan to use the grill, it's not a gas grill (and a lighter) -Bring your own firewood for fire pit as well as anything you think you need to get fire going -Bring laundry detergent as well if you plan on washing clothes/towels -I think you need to bring an AUX cord to play music in the main living room (though admittedly I didn't ask Lisa about how it might work otherwise)

Perfect Location for a Reunion Weekend

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house. We had a large group with a mix of adults and kids and the accommodations were perfect and the house was incredibly clean. The backyard was great for playing lawn games and for the kids to run around. Having the creek nearby was also an added bonus. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

No arguments about who gets the best bedroom

We had 4 families staying here and there was more than enough space for everyone. Oftentimes people end up annoyed when they don’t get the master bedroom. There are actually 2 master bedrooms here, and the remaining bedrooms are comfortable, spacious and with separate bathrooms. It’s about 20 minutes away from Windham but not difficult to get there at all. John the owner was very responsive.

Family Time

This was a perfect space for a family gathering. The wide open downstairs area, with a fabulous kitchen space, large dining room table, and beautiful living area meant we could all be with each other while still also be able to do our own thing, whether it was cook, play games, watch TV or just sit by the fireplace and read. We had a great time and have wonderful memories.

Lovely house at a beautiful area

We were a party of 24 (10 adults and 14 children). The house had a lot of space. 16 persons slept on the beds and 8 children on the air mattresses. We had a lot of fun! The house was cleaned. The owner responded rapidly to our inquiries. Great backyard for the children to play!

Beautiful house in the woods

The cabin was perfect for our group of 19 people. There was more than enough space for all of us to sleep and also large living space. The backyard was huge and we could play ball. The owner was very quick in giving response and very helpful. The only downside (for the lack of the better word) is that there was a charcoal grill and not a gas grill. It took us a long time to turn the grill on (our lack of experience, perhaps) but overall it was a great place. The music system in the living room was AMAZING

Very nice property for a large group!

A group of 13 adults and two kids under two stayed here for a weekend. Although it rained and we couldn't enjoy the outdoors much, we still had plenty of space to hang out inside. The place feels put together and clean. The central air is a great feature. The kitchen is well stocked and spacious. The owner was easy to contact, helped with our questions, and everything went well. We'd love to stay again!

Great house for annual family reunion

This lovely, large house and yard was one of the best settings in our 11 years of family reunions. The house is clean, has the best selection of kitchen utensils, and a very responsive owner. The rainy week raised the water in the area's creeks where we found lots of places to play.

Great house for large group

The house is super great! Its roomy for big groups and a super large open space at the backyard. Its newly renovated and the kitchen is fully eqipped. Its new and clean and stylish! We all enjoy the good time here and already plan to book again for Spring and will come back for our ski retreat every year!

Spacious, clean, fabulous for large groups!

Our large group of 16 adults and 7 kids stayed at this spacious home for our annual family ski trip. The house accommodated our large group very nicely. The 8 bedrooms made it much easier for sleeping situations/privacy and the 5 bathrooms was a great perk. Plenty of space for air mattresses in master bedrooms. Large eating table and prep space for meals made mealtime easy. House was very clean, updated, and well kept. The owner John was very prompt to return my messages and let us check in early which was greatly appreciated! The only "issue" we had was keeping the temperature regulated with Nest, primarily upstairs, as it got very warm despite heat being set very low which made for uncomfortable sleeping at night. A few, minor suggestions I would make to have another refrigerator (possibly in laundry room) to store food considering that this house is geared towards large groups that typically means a lot of food in tow. Also, access to a vacuum would have been helpful to help keep the floors tidy. My family would definitely recommend this house for a large get together!

Beautiful Home for Large Group

spacious, clean property

We had a wonderful family reunion at the house. The children had plenty of space to run around and the older children enjoyed going down to the nearby creek. Having a dumpster on site was a great advantage; other properties I've rented provide just a few garbage cans, which is insufficient for a large group. The owner, John, is always available, which means no waiting around for an answer after calling a maintenance service. Television a bit outdated and DVD player did not work.

A beautiful and spacious home

This large home was the perfect solution to a multi family weekend away. The rooms were comfortable, the kitchen and communal areas were spacious. At the end of the weekend, the kids didn't want to leave. In addition, the owner was very responsive to any questions we had.

This is a huge house with huge open Dining/Family/Kitchen area were everyone can get together and enjoy the stay. Huge backyard where you can play sports. Nice bathroom and bedroom. I will definitely rent the house again if opportunity presents.

Great communication with owner

Our weekend getaway stay was great! The house had everything we needed. There was an issue with the alarm system that I messaged the owner about at a very early time and he responded within seconds to get us taken care of. Problem was fixed shortly thereafter. Great communication and great home.

Wonderful house for a group

A group of friends just spent a wonderful weekend in this home. There is so much room to eat as a group, cook, sleep, shower and hike outside. Wonderful location and wonderful experience. Owner is great to work with too!

BEST HOUSE for ski trip!

This house is probably the nicest and cleanest house we've ever stayed at for our ski trips. It fit all 5 families (19 ppl) comfortably. Plenty of space for the little kids to run around. Everything was brand new and the kitchen was well stocked. The owner, John was very responsive and he supplied everything (ie linen, paper towels, detergent and garbage bags). There are 7 rooms on the 2nd floor and one room with a futon on the first floor. It is 25 mins away from Windham mountain. The only issue that we had was the cell reception. Hard to get any cell reception around the area. Wifi works. Huge back yard and we even did a little hiking in the woods. Check in/out were seamless. Would definitely come back to this house!!

Lovely time was had by all.

This is the second year we have rented this home. It was a bit more run down that the first year. The main floor bathroom's sink was broken and there were scuff marks on the ceiling all throughout the living room, dining room and hall. We have 13 children with us, all mobile except two. The grass was a bit long and there was no hose to use for the pool and sprinkler we had brought to cool the kids off. Luckily, a neighbor let us borrow his hose for a bit. For 15 adults, a mini coffee pot just didn't cut it in the morning. All in all, however, the house was plenty big and housed us nicely. The owner was prompt in responding to my inquiries and the group has already starting discussing renting this home next year, if possible.

Picture Perfect Quiet Family Retreat

Our experience here was perfect! We had a family weekend here with 24 people ranging in ages from 8-88. Everyone had a great time! The house is beautiful, clean and big enough to host the entire family comfortably. The hiking trails and stream off of the property were beautiful and perfect for anyone wishing to explore without getting in the car. And the nighttime star gazing was the best! There are waterfalls, waterparks and caverns to explore within driving distance and a giant supermarket about 20 minutes away with everything you could possibly need. We even took a drive to Woodstock one day which was a pleasant shopping experience. I would definitely recommend this property to any large group who wants to just sit back and relax or enjoy nature at it's best! Thank you John for a wonderful weekend!

Beautiful home in the Catskills

WOW! This house is beautiful! Immaculate, beautifully decorated and so conducive for a large group to have a great time. We were a large family weekend get away and this house fit the bill. We were 12 adults and 10 kids. The master suites are HUGE! The kids loved sharing the room on blow up mattresses and the king bed. Each room is beautifully appointed with its own style and bed sheets etc. The property is huge and flat. Our kids had a great time playing football out back and exploring the trails. The kitchen is totally updated and we easily were able to enjoy our meals around the big table. This is a great location for any large gathering you are planning. John the owner is great to work with. It was our first time renting through VRBO and I would highly recommend it to others. Book with confidence and enjoy your trip!
