We had a great time, but would definitely not book again.
We had a great time, but would definitely not book again. And, the stuffed possum in the living room is just weird. We've rented up in the area previously, in the same price range, and it was a whole different experience in terms of quality and value for price. N/A

Really pleased, and we hoped to return later in the year with the kids (but unfortunately it was already booked). This was a 19th anniversary getaway, so the movie streaming and private hot tub was fantastic. The games downstairs for the kids will be nice when we return, although the unfinished basement it's in appears to still be quite a work in progress. But the upstairs living area was super, roads and hills were easy, and that encourages us to return in the winter months.
The cabin was so lovely that we hardly explored the surrounding areas. Especially loved the air hockey and foosball tables and the games that were in the bookcase near the kitchen. We were able to feel like kids again by playing “old school” Battleship! One minor suggestion: perhaps I missed these details in the property description, but I was unaware of the upstairs and downstairs staircases. I have MS and it was slightly challenging, but all is well that ends well!
The cabin was wonderful. The weather was great. The place was clean and everything I expected.
The description of the property did not say that there was a grill or a firepit, however there were both.
A beautiful cabin with a magnificent view of the mountains in the distance! Overall I give it five stars. The only negatives would be that the patio table could have been cleaned as well as the ash from the grill emptied. It was full snd spilling over onto the wood deck on patio. We emptied it so we could grill, and the air hockey table wasn’t working. Played without the air and played dominoes. Would come again!
This was our first getaway since October of 2019. So, we were looking for a Covid-safe retreat. This was perfect. I wanted screened in porches and a hot tub, and I got them...both floors had screened in porches, including a private perch off of the master bedroom! Lovely view, quiet, and just a few minutes away from Blue Ridge if you’re looking to pick up supplies or get some lunch to go. The only downside, which could have been WAY worse, was that the master bedroom smelled like stale pot when we checked in. We contacted the rental office and asked what we could use to freshen it up. They got back to me immediately and even offered to reimburse me for the freshener. (They are the best of you haven’t worked with My Mountain before!) We eventually figured that the smell must have been older than the last tenants, as it didn’t fade much over the weekend. But that didn’t deter from a relaxing and safe time in a cozy clean cabin surrounded by budding leaves and singing birds. Oh, and bring your own stopper for the garden tub in the master bath as the original gasket in the drain plug is beyond its years. But makes for a nice soak on your first night while you’re waiting for the hot tub to heat up!
Would definitely rent again.
Property was Great!! Beautiful view of mountains with a lot of amenities for leisure time: hot tub, air hockey, games, fustball table.
White water rafting nearby and the magnificent Lake Blue Ridge close to enjoy kayaks for the day! Would defiantly stay again! Love the view from all 3 porches!!
