Weekend Away

We had a great mini vacation. We had our 11 month old baby with us and it was the perfect size for the 3 of us and having the nice outdoor setting was great!

Nice hideway

Nice little spot. Tucked away from civilization. Right off the river and a nice trail. Very quiet but you can slightly hear the bridge traffic. Has about everything you need, just bring groceries. No/barely cell service (AT&T) and no WiFi, about 25-30 mins to any restaurants and such. Host is very responsive.

Fall Break

This was a perfect two-day getaway to enjoy a much needed break! The location was perfect! Quiet, peaceful and very relaxing. We got to fish, hike, sit by the fire and enjoy time away together a family. Highly recommend this location!

Cabin on river

Beautiful cabin river view only down side is the property next door coming in very juky..I would stay again for sure. Also a little hard to get down to river to fish. Thanks for having a clean keep cabin.

Charming tiny house

The tiny house was charmingly decorated and well stocked with items needed to enjoy the stay. The location next to the river provides an opportunity to enjoy the wildlife. I enjoyed my stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Lovely tiny home

Loved this tiny home property. Will definitely book again. The river is beautiful, the location is beautiful. Didn’t have any phone service or wifi but there was things to keep you occupied. Nice, relaxing weekend.

Peaceful

The description and pictures are as described. We loved sitting by the firepit in the evening and on the screened in porch in the mornings! You don't have to worry about traffic or people around you! We were able to enjoy the sounds of nature and each other! We are looking forward to staying here again!

Adorable Cabin on the River

This cabin was awesome! It was spotless and well-stocked! We especially enjoyed the grill, firepit and screened porch. Great location too! We visited several local wineries, hiked the New River Trail, and even found a small horse show to enjoy. New River Retreat thought of everything. Thank you!

Home away from home-Mountain style

This was the escape my guy and I needed. We hung out by the fire pit, grilled out every day, and enjoyed our coffee every morning gazing at the lake scene. I hope to go again

Beautiful Getaway

This charming getaway is nestled between tall rock outcrops and the beautiful New River. We loved waking in the morning to the view of the New River and the scenery around the cabin. Having hiking trails on the property was an extra bonus. The cabin is also decorated beautifully. We loved sitting in the enclosed porch listening to the River. We loved everything about this cabin and would definitely return in the future.

Tiny cabin

Super clean. Well stocked. Pretty scenery but River hard to enter from property. Closer to other homes and road than we expected based on 11 acre property. I would,however, stay there again. Priced right !

Beautiful location, super clean cabin that matched the online pictures perfectly… only issue was trying to find it in the dark and talk to a live person on the phone for help…

This was a tiny house ?

Clean and beautiful little house !! Felt like there was plenty of room and the layout was perfect for a getaway with my husband. I would suggest a bigger sign off the main road, took a few turns but we made it. Would’ve like the river edge to be cleaned up a bit, but overall was awesome. Very clean and we enjoyed it !!

Perfect!

Absolutely beautiful property. River was running high when we arrived but withing two days was running normal. We took our kayaks and had a blast. Eagles Nest was very clean and perfect for my son and I. Loved it.

This is an amazing place that has everything you could want - it's secluded, quiet, relaxing, beautiful. There isn't much of a cell signal, so phone reception and internet is almost non-existent, which is slightly annoying; but really needed. It's great for disconnecting from technology and connecting with important things like nature, yourself, your loved ones, creativity, etc. We had a wonderful time just being. The kitchen and bathroom had almost everything. There were a few things in need of very minor repair and it cabin had a very slight musty smell, but nothing a little fresh air and Febreeze can't fix. We can't wait to come back!

Charming tiny home cabin

Very charming tiny home. I could live here no problem. Only problem it would be nice to have a landing to get into the water. It was beautiful atmosphere.

Cute little cabin!

This was the cleanest cabin we have stayed in! So peaceful and homey. Definitely a great place to get away and think! The river was beautiful and the cabin was in the perfect spot. The screened in porch was a plus you could watch the sunset and not worry about getting ate up with bugs! 10/10 recommend this little property!

Had a wonderful time! Peaceful,relaxing, very calming. Nice view of river. Trail along the river, enjoyed it. Very clean and had everything we needed there. Loved seating on screened in porch drinking coffee listening to the birds and geese,and the river. Very nice and romantic getaway!! Thank you for having us.

Cute and Quiet Cabin

We enjoyed our time at the cabin. It was a great spot right by the river. We even lucked out with a warm November day perfect for lounging in hammocks and soaking up the sunshine!
