We absolutely loved our stay at this house and hope to return someday. The house was large with plenty of space and bathrooms for multiple families to stay comfortably. We found the home layout to be very convenient with bedrooms on all three floors, two kitchens, and specially two refrigerators! There was a spacious, open layout on the main floor, but it still felt very cozy and we loved the large dining table which accommodated our whole group. The kitchen was well equipped with lots of pots, pans and silverware. The house is in a very peaceful community and only a few minutes to the ski resort and lake. No complaints, thank you for a wonderful weekend!
My sister and I and our families stayed here for Thanksgiving weekend. The home is very cozy and it had every thing we needed for our group. Plenty of bedroom space, plenty of bathrooms. The fireplace was a nice feature. There was a lot of backup paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags. This is a really nice property, and I would highly recommend it. We will be back for sure.
Great location close to the lake. Easy to get the daily passes to enjoy the amenities. Large house for all of the adults to have their own room. Kids loved sharing a room to have more together time. Dining area fit us all for eating & playing games. Highly recommend!
Thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful house.
It has so much space and is very equipped. Love that the LR is off of the main area so that the kids and play in that area and not wake up the rest of the house...

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
The good, the bad, and the ugly
The good.
-The location is very nice. We were there in the summer and the community has many amenities that were great! (Pools, mini golf, beach with fun stuff to do there, and much more). There were so many deer that just walk around and graze all day.
-communication with the owner was quick.
-the house was big and there was lots of room for the 8 of us staying there. We all enjoyed the pool table and pingpong table and much more!
The Bad:
-The house was not the cleanist. When we arrived, there was cobwebs all over the place. I had to take a pole with a paper towel wrapped around it to many rooms to get the spiders down. There was a bobbypin in the shower with dust bunnies all over it. Noting major but still worth mentioning.
-the whole house inside just needs updated. The paint is all marked up and there are small holes in the walls at some places that have been patched but not painted. The toilet in the 2nd floor master bathroom was not bolted to the floor and it was very wobbly. The sink faucet in the same bathroom runs unless you find the "sweet spot" to get it to turn off. Many of the bedroons do not have dressers.
-the ground floor is very musty. They need to have a dehumidifier running. Because of the dampness on the ground floor, there are many bugs in the house. When I laid in the bed, I felt wet.
The Ugly:
The beds are the worst beds i have ever laid in. I'm not exaggerating. We all dreaded going to bed. Some couldnt sleep. Awful. WILL NOT GO BACK
I recently stayed at this ski house that exceeded my expectations. The house was spacious and impeccably clean, providing a comfortable retreat after a day on the slopes. The ample room allowed for a stress-free and enjoyable stay, enhancing the overall skiing experience. Highly recommended!
Lovely house in a quaint resort neighborhood. Very thoughtfully decorated, ample space for family/friends’ get together. Had lovely time. Communication and instructions both were very easy and the house lives up to the photos shown. Would love to go back and highly recommend to everyone.
First, the good. It was large and spacious. Plenty of room for three families and a grandparent. Never felt like we were too on top of each other. Three tv's meant the kids could watch their movie at night and the adults could watch something different. The pool table and ping pong were just perfect for all four kids.
Next, the so-so. I wish in the description it would state that you had to pay a daily rate for the amenities (pool, lake, etc) and when the summer season starts and everything is open. We were only one week too early and everything was closed during our stay. I also didn't realize there was no yard to do yard games until we were there. A good picture of the surrounding area would have been good.
We did really enjoy our stay, but it would have been a lot better if we had known everything would be closed during the week.
The house was perfect for our group of 15. The kids enjoyed the ping pong and pool table in the basement. We were just minutes from Big Bear for skiing. Plenty of room for everyone! Great place for a quick getaway.
We loved our stay and experience. Owner is awesome and very helpful. The first level bedrooms w/ bathroom and entertainment was perfect for the kids to escape to. The huge kitchen table was perfect for our holiday dinner and nightly family games! The deer in the front yard were an added bonus. We would stay here again and recommend to others! Cannot say enough positive about this home!
This house is beautiful and well maintained. Close by is the beach at Westcolang Lake. Nice pool area in community. Just be prepared to purchase a day pass of $7 per person (3 yrs old and up) for use of all amenities (lake beach, pool, playgrounds, miniature golf, etc). We had fishermen in our group and we should have researched better for good spots. The house is very spacious, beds are comfortable, lovely game room/hang out area for teens. The deer in the community are beautiful. We could stand on the deck and watch a dozen right in our yard! Very highly recommend this property, property owner is great and responds quick if you have any questions. Nice fire pit on the deck too.
