The property was just as it was shown in the pictures. Perfect location for shore fishing and getting away from the crowds. We had a relaxing, wonderful vacation. Only recommendation would be to add some utensils (scissors and wine opener) to the kitchen!
This was our families second year (we had 7 adults and 5 kids all under 10 yes of age) staying here and it improved significantly from our first visit. It’s always clean upon arrival and a beautiful spacious home right on the water. The decking built over the dunes was a nice addition for sure. There was little to no water pressure in the kitchen sink when we arrived but they sent a plumber out and he ordered a part to fix it. It was a super friendly and easy process. The ice maker and wine fridge additions to the house were really awesome as well. Oh and the blackout shades that were added to the beachside windows helped all of our smaller kiddos sleep better so we truly appreciate that addition! We can’t wait to return for our next trip to the S.H.E.D.
We had a absolutely wonderful week at this house. There was a new boardwalk from the house to the beach which made access even easier than anticipated. The house is literally right on the beach and just as spacious and beautiful as advertised. Our kids loves the bunk room and the couples enjoyed the huge master bedrooms upstairs. The beach is very private and not crowded at all. Upgrade your stay with canopy and chair rental from Beach Bum services and you will enjoy a very relaxing week!
Overall the place was nice. For the amount of money I would have expected more essentials such as toilet paper, trash bags, soaps, etc. Some dirty cabinets and oven. The fridge and 1/2 bath smelled really bad of rotten fish so I assume those weren’t cleaned to standard. Location is beautiful and the direct access to the beach is wonderful.
The property location is great and the house is nice. There are several small issues that need to be fixed, door locks, cracked bathroom tiles, dishwasher needs to be leveled. The management company notified us 22 hours before our Saturday check-in we would be delayed for 2 days. Then they notified us 22 hours before our Monday check-in, we would be delayed one more day until Tuesday. Then 23 hours before our Tuesday check-in we were notified we may not be able to check-in until Wednesday, 2 hours later we were notified we could check in at 3pm on Tuesday. When we arrived, the front door lock would not unlock, we learned it was due to the electronic lock being misaligned and not having enough power to clear the frame. We were able to call and get support fairly quickly. The grill is a cheap 17” Expert Grill, $30 on Amazon. Some of the towels and wash clothes were frayed and worn and the throw pillows were dingy. A couple days with a handyman and a linen refresh and this is a 5 star experience. The other reviews are also accurate.

Beautiful view!
I’m 68 and my family had a very memorable vacation. On the 4th of July at sunset my grandson proposed on blended knee while we held “will you marry me” posters designed by my granddaughter, Ashley said yes. Fireworks up & down the beach followed later. We used a local photographer for family pictures on the beach. Saw dolphins, watched the shrimp boat, had a military jet do fly overs & roll overs for an hour over the waters edge. Went to Fort Morgan, ate at the 50’s diner, had amazing sea food. Made many wonderful memories! The house itself had issues. There’s a visible mold problem, food wrappers under bed downstairs, dirty pans, picked up broken glass outside downstairs, grill was full of used charcoal. Sheets were in dryer and bed was messy upon arrival.
We loved the house and proximity to the beach! It had plenty of room for our large family. We thought the set up with two king size beds in each of the masters was a little strange but it did provide for a lot of people. The only thing that was a con for us was the interior of the cabinets was a little off putting; they could use a thorough wiping down. Overall, that was minor to all the pros though—we loved the ice maker, the large deck with great chairs, a picnic table and great chairs, and even a swing!

So much potential.
Upon arrival at the house we noticed a boarded up window that was not listed on rental information. I understand that many houses are still recovering from the hurricane however this should have been notated. When walked the house, you could tell remodeling was happening. What was completed looked great. The upstairs master bathroom however (boarded up window) did not. We typically pack cleaning supplies with us when we rent a house. We get it sometimes the cleaning is not the best. We needed up having to wash all the bending, towels due to them not being clean. The bathrooms were also not cleaned well. Once we cleaned everything the house was wonderful. I emailed the rental office on Saturday when we arrived with pics of the issues. I finally received a follow up email yesterday from them apologizing for the cleanliness. The beach was nice, location of the house was perfect. Just a little bit more communication about the boarded up window and making sure the cleanliness was up to standards and it would have been an amazing experience.
Location was amazing! I could sit on the back deck and watch the ocean and feel the breeze. Very short walk to the water. There were a few things about the house that could have been better such as more pots and pans in the kitchen. The dishwasher wouldn’t drain and the garbage disposal stopped working. Overall we loved the house and location.
