Welcoming, extremely well appointed, spacious, comfortable.

One of the best aspects of the property is the view of Lake Francis from both floors. The property is very welcoming and has everything you could possible need, you don't have to rush out to buy household supplies, it's all there. We were there for snowmobiling and were never chilly, the heating system was very responsive despite frigid temperatures. The upstairs has a full kitchen and the downstairs is like a separate get-away with two sliders to the lower deck and a kitchenette. We saw deer amble by, were close to our favorite restaurant, the Buck Rub Pub, and could get on the trails across the street. It was one of our best stays in Pittsburg.

Snowmobile week

Rob is a great host! The check in was easy with no problems. The house was more than what my wife and I expected. The kitchen was fully equipped as describe. Lastly the house was super clean. Absolutely we will stay again.

Labor Day Weekend

Beautiful home and view of Lake Francis. We loved the second living room/kitchen area in the walkout basement. Incredibly relaxing stay and the owner is easy to get a hold of for any questions and/or needs. Home is well stocked.

Great getaway

We had an amazing time in Pittsburg!! The Loon View was a perfect spot to access Lake Frances with our kayaks, gorgeous view of the lake, and comfortable accommodations after the day of exploring. The kids enjoyed playing on the back lawn, fishing from the bank, and relaxing by the fire pit in the evening.

Weekend getaway

The house was just as described and perfect for our weekend. Beautiful view of the lake and close to many hiking trails. The property itself was very large and the house had plenty of room for our family. Would definitely stay again

Siblings week.

Myself, my four sisters and my brother get away every year to spend time together. We are all retired and getting older and we just like to hang out with no interruptions and And do Bible studies and pray, play games, reminisce, and eat. We also have cousins who live in Pittsburgh so we get together with them while we’re up there. It was very nice and we had a wonderful time.

Pittsburg Getaway

Great location. Back deck has beautiful views of Lake Francis. We hiked Mt. Magalloway and parts of Cohas trail. Some kayaking.

Beautiful view

This is our second stay at the Loonview for a week of snowmobiling in February. The house is spacious, well-equipped and very clean. The owner, Rob, is very responsive and professional. The view is spectacular and can be enjoyed from the kitchen, living room and bedroom. We look forward to our next stay there.

Great Property

The location and views of Lake Francis are wonderful. All the paper products, linens and towels were better than expected. Nice touches with hand soaps at the sinks. We definitely would stay there again if we are in the area.

Amazing views

The house is located in an amazing spot for Lakeview. It is right off the main road but you really dont notice, minimal traffic and plenty of peace and quiet. We stayed here for a girls get away and it was just what we needed for lots of relaxing and staying in for all our meals. The house was the perfect size for us (4 adults) and came with plenty of kitchen items to use for cooking, baking or grilling (even a crock pot!). Plenty of bathroom towels as well and even some games. House was very clean but we spent most of our time on the porch enjoying the beautiful views of the lake and nature. Would definitely love to come back for a visit.

The view is everything!

The view is the best part of this lake cabin. Checking in was so easy. There were some issues with bugs and the manager tried to help and was awesome. Rob was always available for questions/concerns. It was clean and well stocked with whatever you need, there were things we forgot and the house had them. We had all of our meals on the porch as the view is breathtaking. Amazing host, made sure we were happy and comfortable.

You can't beat view

I secretly plotted how I could stay in this house and never leave. The house was clean, well stocked with kitchen, bathroom, and cleaning items. And the deck + view was spectacular. We spent most of our time on the deck playing cribbage!

The Loon View
