This was our second time staying at this camp and we plan to return again. You will find everything you need, just bring your clothes and food. It has cable TV and internet so you aren’t too cut off from the world. Town is only a 10 minute drive away.
Our favorite part is the quiet beautiful lake and the loons.
We enjoyed 3 nights at the cottage while visiting family in the area. It was the the perfect home base for us. It is a lovely family cabin with two bedrooms. The rustic charm is one of the reasons we love Maine.
Our favorite spot was the dock! We had coffee every morning and ended each night enjoying the lake. Our granddaughters came over one day and enjoyed wading in the water for clam shells.
Karen was wonderful to work with and we hope to return again next year!
My wife and I rented this cabin for 7 nights in first week of October. We went to visit friends in the area and enjoy the fall in Maine. This cabin was great. It is right on the lake and the views are spectacular. The cabin is comfortable, has all the cooking items you'd need, stove, full size fridge, comfortable furniture and a deep jetted tub to relax in. If you are looking for a comfortable, fully amenity place to stay while in Maine this it.
One small note- it uses propane heater and the heater can make a small squeal when running. Could cause light sleepers to wake up if you don't have earplugs.
The location of the cottage was perfection itself! Spent every evening on the dock watching the sunset. House was comfortable and homey, had everything we could possibly need. Loved having the washer and dryer. Got cool enough to use the wood stove a couple of nights. This was exactly the kind of vacation spot I was hoping for; didn't feel I was in a non-descript hotel. The owner gave lots of ideas for things to do in the area and I can certainly recommend the Bankery (a bakery) in Skowhegan!
Our stay was quiet and peaceful during the second week of September. The cozy, comfortable cottage with a patio on the waterfront and the use of kayaks gave us a respite from everyday life. Thank you!
