Thirroul getaway with Island twist

Switch to "island time" in our spacious Vanuatu-inspired hideaway! Have the whole bottom floor to yourself. Relax with a cocktail and rest your feet on our oversized daybed looking into a lush back yard bushes, then retire to a plush king bed for long, sweet dreams.
Whether you are looking to explore, relax by the beach, unwind, stroll to nearby shops, rekindle love or just get lost in a book - our place will ensure your experience is a memorable one. Pooches are always welcomed.

You’ll get a mix of island charm and little luxuries with the whole bottom floor completely private by design. This includes your private entry, kitchen, bathroom, patio, living area, access to bushy back yard and of course bedroom with a luxurious king bed. The space is oversized and completely unique. Particularly the living area, with huge wooden french doors rescued from an old local mine, 3.5 meter ceilings, a wine bar & island vibes inspired decor with little luxuries.

The bathroom, bedroom, kitchen and the outdoor area have been recently renovated and we have applied high quality linen, bath robes, and towels for your comfort. On cold days you can snuggle in on our oversized couch with a smart TV and access to Netflix and free wifi. We are also pooch friendly with a fully fenced back yard.

The place can accommodate up to 4 adults (2 in king size bedroom, 2 in the queen size bed set up in the corner of the living room).

We live in the upper floor, but you will rarely see us (other than the occasional trip to the laundry) as the place is designed with privacy in mind.

A great little get away
Nina’s island get away was the perfect base and halfway point for us to visit family and friends in Wollongong & Sydney. The accommodation was comfortable, quiet, clean and had every thing we needed. It would be idyllic in summer - unfortunately we didn’t have time (and the weather wasn’t great!) to try the day bed or the lovely reading nook looking out to the garden.

Perfect pet friendly getaway
We did a weekend trip here from Sydney with my partner and our dog and we all had a great time. The property is exactly as described and communication with Nina was easy. She gave us lots of recommendations to explore the area too. From the house it's a short (but hilly) stroll to the cafes and restaurants of Thirroul and a short drive to the multitude of beaches in the area, many of them dog friendly too.

Generally all good. Host was very attentive and has thought of everything one could possibly want or need. Older travellers need to be aware foot access is very steep, property has several levels separated by a couple of steps each. Lighting is poor inside which suits romantics but needs consideration for older people and littlest.

The property was absolutely beautiful. A peaceful retreat with amazing hosts. Hand built daybed outside was utilised the whole trip including during the rain. Was peaceful and a wonderful break. I’m now looking for any excuse to return and stay.

Romantic Surfside hangout
Had an excellent stay. Very clean and nicely decorated downstairs hideaway. Close to the beach and shopping in a safe and quiet neighborhood. Very enjoyable!

Thirroul Nina's Place
We were met on arrival and the place was spotless and Nina was very friendly. Can't recommend this place enough. We were down for a Beatles Abbey Road concert and Nina even left us a vinyl copy of the LP with a nice bottle of red! We will return for a longer stay next time.
