These villas could be so much better.
We stayed for 10 days in May in the villa Aphrodite a front line villa.
The main gripe we have over our villa is that the villa we booked and chose from the photos and the one we were put in were different. We booked the villa in the photos which is called Zeus (only found this out whilst on holiday) and were put in Aphrodite next door..
Good points
Communication from booking to arrival was excellent.
Easy check into the villa
Lovely location, literally right on the beach.
Downstairs lounge area is very nice and comfortable
Nice views.
Bad points
Broken furniture and not very clean.
Cheap shower curtains made it feel like a student house.
One bedroom only had one broken bedside table and no other furniture or mirror. Another had a bed in the way of cupboard..
No chest of drawers a plastic hanging drawers inside the wardrobe.
Terrace chair unusable due to damage.
Lots of small flies in the grass, you have to put the loungers on the grass as the pool area is too small. They bite.
Very uncomfortable sun loungers.
Poor quality mattresses and pillows (I do appreciate this is personal taste).
It was a shame that a visitor folder isnt in the villa, it is usually great to use recommendations for local shops and restaurants. Stickers on fridge with instructions again make the villa feel cheap.
Defensive response from management to criticism. If they believe the villa we were put in was superior why didn't they photograph that one. We were left feeling cheated.
