Authentic and Spacious Holiday Farmhouse full of Light, Charm and Character.

The farmhouse is well laid out with a private, swimming pool with shower room, sun bathing area, and a BBQ area with large dining space. The spacious kitchen/dining area is fully equipped with everyday appliances including microwave oven and overlooks the pool whilst the sitting room has comfortable sofas and an LED TV with cable channels.
Five bedrooms, two of which have an en-suite shower and balcony or sun terrace, and four of which are airconditioned, can sleep up to 10 persons in cosy comfort. There is an extra, large bathroom on the 1st floor and another at ground floor level. The farmhouse is also equipped with a washing machine.
Beautiful picturesque scenery (sea and country views) can be enjoyed either from the windows and balconies or from the large sunny roof terrace.

Lovely House
Ta' Dratta is a beautiful house. Great location just a few minutes walk from the town centre. We had a really relaxing stay there, the pool area is beautiful. Everything was very clean

A 60th Birthday to Remember
We spent ages looking for just the right place for my partner's 60th birthday . We began the week as a group of 5 adults and 3 more joined later on. Every single one of us was delighted by Gozo , delighted by Xaghra and delighted by this beautiful and rather unique property. The entrance hall / lounge / kitchen areas were larger and more inpressive than expected . The bedrooms are as shown . The pool area - which was a big selling point for us - was even better than the pictures and it was an absolute blessing to take a dip at any time of day. We used the barbecue with no issues and the outside dining area comfortably accommodated all of us. The roof is another bonus , with excellent views towards the sea . There is a washing machine with a quick 15 min cycle to freshen up salty clothes after another tough day on the beach ! Ramla bay is 20 - 30 min walk - you can get the 322 bus back up the hill if it's too hot. Marsalforn is about 10 mins on the bus and has a lot to offer. Xaghra itself has a host of great restaurants in a very small area .The icing on the cake was Ivan himself , who was very friendly , helpful with information and genuinely cared that we had a good holiday . He also booked us a fabulous restaurant for the big day . So to sum up - if you want a lovely , relaxing holiday in a beautiful area , staying in a delightful house , dealing with pleasant hosts , this could be the place.

Great house in a lovely town
A lovely house with plenty of space for five adults. Inside is light and airy and stayed cool during the day. The pool was lovely and the courtyard was a great place to relax and eat. One of the twin rooms (accessed via one of the double rooms) opens out onto a great roof terrace, with views to the sea. This was a fantastic surprise and a wonderful place to watch the sunset. Ivan and his wife were very helpful, friendly and informative, and they have done a great job with this house. The town of Xaghra is very pleasant, fairly quiet but full of character, with a host of restaurants on the main square. It was easy to drive from here to everywhere we wanted to go on Gozo and was a great base for us.

Fantastic House on a lovely Island
Ivan is brilliant to communicate with and very helfull. The house was very clean and it looked better than in the pictures. We had a lovely time. The only thing I would change is to put air conditioning in the top bedroom for heatwave times! The location was also great, near the square in Xaghra where we had great food in Olympic Restaurant, great local supermarkets and not far by car from anywhere! Thanks Ivan x

Amazing house
The house is great. Its big and the bedrooms are fresh and charming. The AC works perfect and are placed in four of the five bedrooms. The house was super clean upon arrival and all communication with the owner where smooth. Ivan is very serviceminded and the arrangements around the transport from and to the airport was perfect. Can recommend the roof ”terrace” to watch the sunset in the evening. The pool area is great and the pool is clean and easy to look after. We managed to get around without a car. Busses works quite well and they accept cash payment. You walk to the closest supermarket in 5 minutes and there are a few really good restaurants and bars at the square 10 min walk from the house.

A wonderful house in a lovely village
The house is a beautiful traditional stone house on a quiet lane in the village. It is beautifully restored and has amazing high ceilings and views over the surrounding farmland, and you can see the sea from the front bedrooms and roof. There are loads of bedrooms, plenty of space for a big group and the pool area is lovely - it's get sunshine but there are also areas of shade for when it is really hot. The pool is great, but very deep! It's a 10 minute walk into the village - the square is an amazing place to eat or drink and watch the world go by. When we were there there was a 2 week build up to a festival, and every night there was some incredible event in the square that the whole island seemed to turn up for! Historical re-enactments, a huge feast one night, parties, bands, incredible! It made getting a table for dinner a nightmare though, I imagine it's very quiet when there isn't a festival on. Wouldn't have missed it though. We were worried that Gozo may be a little too quiet for us, but this did not prove to be the case. The village is really well located and everything is close, we saw most sights in a day. There are two amazing beaches very near the house, one was probably the best beach I have ever seen in the Med, amazing water, beautiful sand. Go!

Bright and Airy/Clean
Although Ta Dratta sleeps 10 there were 7 in our party and there was a lovely fresh airy feel to this well appointed farmhouse. Ivan was completely charming and gave us a warm welcome and farewell. Once we had mastered the bus routes we were very happy on our 10 day break and would highly recommend this farmhouse to family and friends.

Ta Dratta
The house really fulfilled our expectations of a delicately renovated old farmhouse with thick limestone walls keeping the climate cool even though outdoor temperature exceeded 30 degrees. The house was spacious enough to allow our three teenage boys to have their own separate bedrooms, which was much appreciated, and there were plenty of bathrooms/showers. Overall everything was very clean and in good condition so we can definitely recommend this house to anyone who prefers this type of living during their vacation. The location of the house in Xaghra is OK, with walking distance to the central square where the restaurants are located, but if you're planning to visit Gozo you'll need a car to get around. And rent one with an automatic gear box, since many of the roads are very steep! Gozo this time of year, end of June, was not as green as we expected but we found many beautiful beaches to spend our days so in all, we are very happy with our staying.

Beautiful holiday
We were a group of 3 families and we all liked the Ta dratta house on the first sight! It is nice, spacious, and clean, with a wonderful terrace and nice swimming pool. The kitchen is well equipped and 3 fully furnished bathrooms were great "time saver". Its location is perfect for short trips around Gozo - we saw most of the nice places on the island and we never drove longer than for 25 min... :) The owner was very helpful during the whole stay and helped with all our inquiries. I can definitely recommend this holiday house to everyone! :)

Fantastic holiday!
This place is no doubt the best place to stay on Gozo. Everything is perfect! It is quiet, nicely decorated, very comfortable and clean. We particularly enjoyed the superb private pool and terrace. A grocery store is at 5 min walk and the small village with some good restaurants at 10 min walk. We will certainly come back!

La casa perfetta per una vacanza a Malta e Gozo!!
La casa è veramente bella e i servizi sono ottimi al nostro arrivo era in ottimo stato!! I proprietari disponibilissimi sia prima della vacanza che durante il soggiorno. E' la casa ideale per un bel gruppo di persone. Situata in una zona tranquilla. Le due camere matrimoniali hanno il bagno in camera che è molto comodo in più ci sono altri 3 bagni. La cucina è spaziosa e c'è la possibilità di mangiare all'aperto. La piscina è fantastica privata e di sera è illuminata. La casa è molto accogliente e si trova a pochi km dalla spiaggia più bella dell'isola, ramla bay, una spiaggia con la sabbia rossastra caratteristica e un mare limpidissimo, raggiungibile anche a piedi. Comunque è consigliata la macchina anche perchè vale la pena girare Malta che si raggiunge in traghetto che è frequente ed economico. La macchina a noi ce l'ha procurata il proprietario occupandosi lui di tutto e c'è stata consegnata al nostro arrivo direttamente a casa dall'autonoleggio. La casa si trova a Xaghra non lontano dal capoluogo Victoria e quindi dai supermercati e dal porto. Inoltre Gozo è da visitare da non perdere la citadella, la finestra azzurra e fungus rock degli spettacoli della natura. Quindi se volete fare una vacanza a Malta e Gozo vi consiglio quasta fantastica casa!!

Great 2 Weeks Relaxation
The photographs of Ta’ Dratta on the website are beautiful but cannot do it full justice, Ta’ Dratta farmhouse has been tastefully restored to its original condition, it is spacious, more so then is apparent in the photographs, light and very well appointed. Eight of us stayed there for two weeks in August, the hottest time of the year and we felt very comfortable, the high ceilings, thick limestone walls and ceiling fans kept us cool in the August heat. The pool area was a real focal point for both the children and adults alike, the pool itself is deeper then it appears in the photographs and is great for relaxing in, it is also very private. Ivan, his wife and his brother are very friendly and made us feel very welcome, they were also readily available if needed. Ta’ Dratta is situated within a short walking distance of a mini supermarket and we found all necessities were easy to find. An additional bonus while we stayed was a fruit lorry that stopped right outside the farmhouse every morning, selling fresh fruit and also other useful items. Xaghra itself is fairly central and anywhere on Gozo is only a short drive away, we also found the main square at Xaghra, which is again only a short walking distance from the farmhouse to be the best in Gozo, it contains some shops, a beautiful church and is a beautiful setting in which to sit outside to eat at one of the restaurants there. The people of Gozo were very friendly, we very much enjoyed out stay in Gozo and have no hesitation in recommending Ta' Dratta as a place to stay.

Warm welcome and pleasant vacation
We'd like to thank Mr. Ivan Attard and his wife for their welcome and hospitality. When arriving, the farmhouse surprised us with the love the Attard family has put into the restructure, interieur and every centimeter of the premise. The castle like inside, the large windows and the high ceilings give the feeling of space and freedom. We really enjoyed the stay and even four month later, our kids say to us "when do we return to Goooozooo". We have enjoyed quiet Gozo, the lovely landscapes and cliffs and the close beaches. We enjoyed the friendly and relaxed inhabitants and the shopping in Rabat (Victoria) as well. Definetly we will return as soo as possible to Gozo and the Ta' Tratta farmhose. The Mengels

I echo all the comments made by other guests. In addition: The rental process itself was very simple. Property had a lovely clean and airy atmosphere – a newness about it. Complements to the housekeeper. Also appreciated ,the lighting, beautifully worked out with character features highlighted. For us girlies, lots of mirrors and power points for our hairdryers! Ivan or Pierre was always available but never intrusive. The location was excellent although a car, in my opinion, is essential to really enjoy Gozo and pick up groceries. Depending on the time of year, if you like walking – download some walks off the internet. We did – it made a really great day. Research will also inform you of some of the lesser visited bays like Dahlet Qorrot bay, a real find with a stunning coastal walk. We would not hesitate to recommend this property. So a ‘two thumbs up’ from all of us, for Ta Dratta, and Gozo and thanks to all concerned!

Perfect holiday
We were a group of 10 girls, all 24/25 yrs old and we loved our holiday here on Gozo! The villa was perfect for us, it slept everyone very comfortably and there were enough facilities for us to get ready for the evening, without any queues for the bathrooms. We did a lot of cooking ourselves so it was great to have the bbq, and the kitchen/dining space is a great size for us all to help out. Some of us enjoyed the roof terrace whilst others preferred sitting by the pool – there was a good variety of space in the villa so that we could spread ourselves out. Pierre (the villa owner) helped arrange the car hire for us, which was perfect for the 10 of us to get around the island – we hired two cars, at very reasonable prices. He also arranged out transfer to/from Malta airport which went very smoothly. We were aiming to have a nice, relaxing holiday, which it was. But as a group of 10 girls, of course we’d like a bit of night life ? There are friendly, local bars down the road in Xaghra, where we appreciated the air-conditioning even at night. We found the drinks to be very cheap ? We did go to a club one night after talking to some locals - it’s called La Grotta and it was a short cab ride away from Xaghra, on the way to Xlendi. It was a great night, lots of dancing! In the daytime we did much of the same as the reviews below, and tried out the same restaurants. It was all great! I would definitely recommend a holiday on Gozo, and especially a stay at this beautiful villa! Many thanks!

Best 2 weeks holiday ever!
We have just had 2weeks of sheer heaven courtesy of Ivan and Ta Dratta! What a gem of a property - totally first class in every way possible. From the minute we landed in Malta, the holiday went like a total dream - taxi met us at the airport, accompanied us all the way to the doorstep in Xaghra, where both Ivan and the car hire and car hire man were there to welcome us. Having 4 children travelling with us, ranging in ages from 11 to 16, as well as myself and my good other half, every need and whim was catered for and exceeded by the farmhouse. The farmhouse is superbly decorated and with so much room, we could have housed another family with total ease in there! We spent hours in the pool and the location of Xaghra is perfect - central for all of the island ready to explore, whilst at the same time providing some superb restaurants that you can take a gentle wander to in the evening if you dont fancy a car journey. Ivan was a superb host, always available on the phone if required and we really couldnt have asked for more from a holiday. The island of Gozo is like travelling back in time, the only concern was what to eat for our evening meal! Really would recommend this to anybody of any age - we would love to return in the future. Wonderful Stay on Gozo
My family of three stayed here for two weeks along with my mom and her husband. We had a simply magnificent time and our hosts could not have been more accommodating. To begin with, the house was wonderfully appointed and maintained. The whole house was very clean and in excellent condition. The owner arranged to have us picked up in Malta and transported to the farmhouse just as promised with the car hire agent waiting at the house when we arrived. Everything was in top shape and the owners were even so thoughtful as to provide a basket filled with food so we didn't need to go shopping the first day. The rooms were even more spacious than they appear on the website and our 12-year old daughter had fun picking her room. The location could not be better as Xaghra is a delightful village and the views from the house of the village and the Mediterranean are just stunning. Our daughter had fun in the pool and her parents had fun just sitting on the roof deck or cooking in the kitchen. My mom and her husband are 70+, but had no trouble with the stairs. To be clear (especially to our American friends) this "farmhouse" is not out in the country, but nestled in a quiet village with shops and restaurants accessible, but I would certainly recommend a car. After a couple of days getting the hang of driving on the left side of the road on very narrow streets, we had a blast making the little island of Gozo our home. As for the quiet, when an unexpected construction job came up at a neighboring property, the owner (Ivan) worked very hard and successfully to ensure that our stay was a quiet one. We loved Otters and Oleanders to dine out, with Otters having a great location on the water in Marsalforn. We had just as much fun using the terrific BBQ at the house and getting the freshest fish imaginable from the market in Ghanjsielem. We are saving our pennies to return sometime and I would recommend this house to anyone. Really hard to imagine a more wonderful place. Everything from the house to the rich history of the islands, the beautiful surroundings, great food, the fantastic weather and the incredibly friendly residents of Gozo made this trip a joy. Best Place to Stay on Gozo
Without a doubt, the nicest house and best location we have stayed in on Gozo. I could not fault the house. This is Ivan and Pierre's only rental house and it shows. They obviously restored this home primarily for their own vacation use, and it feels just like that. It feels like they just let us use it for the week. Very welcoming, wonderfully decorated. Views are stunning! Simply perfect! Xaghra is Quiet, but centrally located. The best food is just a 3 minute walk away : Tal-Furnar... it is one of the last remaining stone ovens left in Malta, and he has without a doubt the best ravioli in the world. Also... very good rabbit. I agree with everything the other reviewers said above. Terrific value, and just a wonderful place to stay. A definite change of pace for us coming from the US. Thanks again for making our vacation a memorable one.

very relaxing holiday
We really enjoyed our stay at Ta Drratta. It is a beautiful old restored house which has been tastfully renovated. It is spacious and comfortable. The pool was great as the weather got hotter.Being in the village felt like you were part of Gozonian life and the people were so friendly, it was only a short easy stroll for a coffee at the friendly bars or a meal at the local restaurants. We found Aztec the best one. The villa was very clean and Stella did a great job cleaning it half way through the holiday. Ivan and his wife made us very welcome and gave us some good ideas of how to spend our time. Ramla beach is lovely but bargain for the sunbeds!. The blue Lagoon is very crowded go later in the day when the large boats start to leave, otherwise it will be a shock after the pace of life on Gozo.
