Perfect family home for a DeBordieu beach vacation. Wonderfully decorated and spacious this four bedroom home features two king size suites on the lower level as well as an open living/dining and kitchen combination. Wide porch and screened in area on the Oceanside make a perfect place to relax and enjoy the perfect South Carolina weather. Upstairs guests will find two additional bedrooms with private bathrooms and an additional living room with balcony overlooking the beach. Downstairs there is a den off the living room with a pull out couch that could be used as a 5th bedroom. Wifi, cable, keurig, tea kettle, elevator, garage and much more! DeBordieu is truly one of the best kept secrets of The Grand Strand place where families vacation to get away from the hustle and bustle. Enjoy this gem for a week, a month or a long weekend!

Reviewer Comments: The upstairs A/C unit was out for the first three days of our stay which made for a few uncomfortable nights, but the TideLife staff was very responsive and the owner made an accommodation for our troubles, which we very much appreciated. Otherwise, we had a wonderful vacation. This was our second stay at High Cotton, which is in a perfect location. We love DeBordieu and have been vacationing there for ~20 years. The house was clean, well-appointed, and well-maintained. High Cotton perfectly fits our family's needs. We hope to return again.

Wonderful stay
Such a lovely place to enjoy some slow paced, family time. Only complaint were the ants in the kitchen. They got to all of our dry groceries and while management quickly brought traps and spray, it wasn’t enough to keep them away. The ants stayed with us all weekend which was not ideal for the premium, we we’re happy to pay, to be there. Otherwise, everything was lovely and we look forward to staying there again soon - sans ants.

For the most part we had a wonderful time. The property is beautiful. Unfortunately there had been a dog in the house a week prior and we were greeted with feces and a urine soaked rug in the office of the home which we needed as an extra bedroom. Very unfortunate.

This is a great house! The view is OUTSTANDING! You feel like the house is actually on the water. Our families were very comfortable and the layout was fantastic. House was clean and orderly. There were some stains on the upstairs sectional and some construction that was extremely noisy going on next door but the latter was only for a few hours a day and luckily didn't disturb us too much. Aside from those two things it was pretty close to perfect! Would come back to this house in a heartbeat and certainly hope to do just that!

You also can’t beat the location as it’s perfectly placed steps away from water. We watched beautiful sunrises with dolphins playing in the water, and then the dramatic shift of a storm coming in off the back porch. A short walk from the house gets you to the wildlife preserve area of beach which is so serene. Very hard place to leave and we will definitely be returning as often as possible.

Excellent Beach House - over the top!

Reviewer Comments: We stayed for five days and the house was well equipped with towels, toilet paper, kitchen pots and pans including coffee cups, glasses and dishware. All the basics were provided. The house is right on the ocean and it has an outdoor shower at the bottom of the house. There was only one thing missing and that was a gas grill and since the house rules don't allow charcoal grilling, we had to fry or bake our meals. The community is very upscale and mostly everyone stays to themselves. The pool was very clean and Tiki Bar had delicious finger foods and adult beverages. This was one of the best rentals we have stayed in and at different times during our stay, we had as many as 15 family members sleeping over. Excellent Property!

Best Family Vacation EVER!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: By far the best family vacation ever! This home is superb as well as Suzanne and her staff. Simply put the best of the best! Next year we will eat every meal at the house and never leave. There is no need to leave, you have everything you need at the home and it's so lovely you really don't want to go anywhere. Our grand babies loved riding around on the golf cart and looking at the deer, rabbits, alligators and flying fish. The newest member of our family proposed to our daughter on the beach with us over looking from the balcony while the dads were sneaking around playing paparazzi. Beautiful memories were made and we cannot wait to go back next year! Thank you Suzanne and staff for this home and your service.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We vacationed for a second time in Steele House, and again the home, location and amenities of DeBordieu did not disappoint. The home was clean...the ac was working...and the 180 degree view of the ocean was awesome. Tidelife is responsive when issues arise, whether small or large. We had friends join us this time for a few days, and they were also impressed with the home, view and super location to great restaurants. Our only suggestion is one we offered last time, and that's to find a way to keep the smaller area rugs clean between bookings. The owners of Steele have really nice belongings in the house, and the small area rugs need to be maintained...especially the one in front of the kitchen sink. Otherwise, this home and Tidelife still get top reviews from us!
