Welcome to Rustic Pine Retreat! Experience that "get away from it all" feeling, yet be less than a 10-15 minute drive to the Parkway, Dollywood, Cal Ripkin Experience and all the excitement of Pigeon Forge. Gatlinburg and the National Park are less than 20 minutes away.
As you arrive at the cabin you will see there is an outdoor grilling area and seating on the front porch. A great place to sit and relax with your morning coffee or tea! There is a very large flat paved parking pad (unusual for this area!) for up to four full size vehicles. A great place for your street rod, muscle car or motorcycles! A hose reel is supplied during warm-weather months for washing or detailing your vehicle.
When you enter the cabin the first thing you see is a two-story wall of windows with an incredible view of the valley and mountains in the distance. At night, the lights of Sevierville twinkle and glow like hundreds of lightening bugs! Cable rail has been used on the deck to make the deck railing almost disappear.
To your left is a large fully furnished kitchen, perfect for an extended stay! A full size pantry is provided – no more storing all your groceries on the counters! A large French-door fridge will store everything you need for the short term or long term! The kitchen is fully equipped with a variety of small appliances including a regular and single serve coffee pot, crock pot and blender.
To the right is the dining area with a long table and seating for six (there are additional barstools in the lower level if you need extra seating). Another seldom-found feature is a full size coat closet for storing coats, coolers, etc.
The main living area has plenty of comfortable seating. There is an extra large gas fireplace. The fireplace is turned on for the season no later than early November and is available until approximately May 1st. We turn the fireplace on once it is cool enough to comfortably use and do the same when turning it off for the season. Guests may contact us if you want to know if the fireplace will be on during your stay.
Above the fireplace is a 65 inch LED Smart TV. Xfinity cable is provided to keep you entertained! We also have excellent wireless internet access and great cell phone reception. But don't forget to unplug, we have plenty of board games and cards too!
There are two ensuite master bedrooms on the main floor - each with king sized beds, 55-inch LED Smart TV's and electric fireplaces. Each bedroom includes a full closet and dresser for plenty of clothing storage. Both bedrooms have a cozy reading area with comfy recliners. The bathrooms have oversized width bath tubs (36” vs the standard 32”) with full-height shower heads, giving you a wonderful bath or shower experience after a long day shopping or hiking!
Heading upstairs to the vaulted loft (via a full size staircase – no spiral staircase to trip on), you’ll find another ensuite bedroom area. The open loft bedroom has a queen size bed with a 55” LED Smart TV. The spacious bathroom has a large walk-in shower and a full size closet is provided in the loft hallway. The loft sleeping area has always been our favorite due to the awesome views of downtown Sevierville at night!
While the inside of the cabin is a wonderful place to relax- the back deck is even better! Of course, there is that amazing view with plenty of seating to just sit and do nothing. There is a hot tub on one end of the deck and a gas fire pit on the other end. (There are also telescoping skewers in the kitchen for toasting marshmallows!) Enjoy views of downtown Sevierville and Pigeon Forge. At night, you can see the LED Ferris Wheel at The Islands. On clear days, you can see over 60 miles and the Jellico Mountains at the Kentucky/Tennessee boarder are in view to the northwest. Clinch Mountain is viewed straight ahead. Sit on the deck and enjoy the sunset over Bluff Mountain.
But wait – there is more inside and outside! Head downstairs to experience our lower level. At the base of the stairs and to your right is our TV area. A comfy sectional with a pull out queen size sleeper sofa is the perfect area to unwind at night and watch a movie on the 75” LED Smart TV. When ready to retire, the coffee table is on wheels – just roll it out of the way and open the sleeper sofa.
Enjoy our gaming area that includes a full size 8-foot pool table. This area was designed around the pool table and the use of standard length (57”) pool cues – no shorty cues required! Have fun at the Megatouch touch-screen game that includes over 100 games including puzzles, card games, trivia games, etc. (be careful- this game is addictive!). See how many high scores you can set! There is also a cocktail video game with 60 video games to choose from.
Also included on the lower level to the left of the stairs is a large half-bath and a full-size walk-in laundry with a state-of-the art Whirlpool washer and steam dryer. Plenty of counter space and hanging storage is available as well as an ironing board and iron (get serious though!). A snack bar with sink, microwave and beverage cooler is the perfect place to make a snack without having to go upstairs!
Finally, step out on the lower-level gaming deck and play some cornhole! Cornhole boards are provided as well as comfy benches at either end. The deck includes a roof overhead to prevent you from getting wet when someone is in the hot tub. The deck can also be used on drizzly (non windy) days as well.
Is there a pool nearby? You bet! Our HOA built a brand new pool complex and it opened on Memorial Day of 2020. It is a short walk from the cabin and features a nice pool, changing room/bathroom, seating around the pool and grilling areas to spend a lazy afternoon.
Our cabins are located near the Great Smoky Mountains which are home to black bears. While seeing bears is not an everyday occurrence, visitors should be aware of the potential. Guests will be notified if I become aware of bear activity in the area.
Do we decorate for the holidays? Absolutely! Decorating for the holidays is something we thoroughly enjoy, both at home and at our rentals. The cabin is fully decorated inside and outside from approximately mid November through mid January. Again, guests may contact us to see if the cabin will be decorated during your stay. PLEASE NOTE: Our Christmas yard art displays may vary from year to year. We have had a problem with animals eating the wiring on our displays and some get damaged beyond repair. It is not always possible to get them replaced due to timing and cost.
Please note that we do not accept arrivals on holidays: Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas (December 24, 25 or 26th) and New Year's Day. We believe our cleaning crew deserves time off to spend with family and friends. If you need to arrive on a holiday or one of the dates listed above - you will need to contact me first to make suitable arrangements.
Host fees - the only fee we charge is a cleaning fee which is listed as a host fee. This entire fee goes to our cleaning crew for the fantastic job they do!
