Misleading advertising

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND…This is not a one bedroom..more like a studio with partial walls separating the bed with only walking space on one side of “Bed” room and another half wall opening to the dining room. Only a curtain on the doorway to the “Bed” room so no privacy if another couple were using the king sofa bed. Even for a family this setup would have been tricky. Bedding and stained towels should be replaced along with the mouldy shower curtain. No screens on the windows which had to stay open for air circulation. There were fans that were noisy but gave some relief from the heat. Obvious concerns were bugs and/or sea gulls could fly in easily. Fortunately no seagulls surprised us. Being across from a shipping yard was noisy in the early morning. Checking out was also onerous.

Excellent Stay!

This is a wonderful place to stay right on the water! We enjoyed watching all of the wildlife from the deck.The apartment has a great layout, and was very clean. The location was so convenient with the water taxi stop right next to the apartment building. Aman was a great host, and answered questions right away. We would definitely stay here again!!

Our stay in Victoria

This is a good place to stay in Victoria, nice condo and great location, walking distance to everything! Having said that, some of the problems we had may have been one-time issues. Something happened with the cleaners, so they didn’t finish (I think?). Areas were dusty, bedding was left in the dryer for us to make up the bed. There seemed to have been some major miscommunications with the property manager. He tried very hard to make things right, but some issues were out of his control: during our stay, there was construction going on throughout the time we were there (5days), with workmen rappeling on ropes outside our windows daily, beginning early in the morning. Before we knew what was going on, we went out and returned seeing that people had entered the apartment and moved things around. We later learned from the manager that these were workmen. A group of 4 workmen/engineers came into the apartment another time(knocking first but without previous knowledge) to inspect balcony work. We can understand if construction needs to happen, but let us know that workmen will be hanging on ropes outside our windows while we get out of the shower?! Confusing directions were given for check-in at a “key cafe” blocks away and we had to ask how to check out: in the end it involved holding the elevator, running back to the apartment to leave the keys on the table? Only one set of keys, no instructions or notes left for us as we have found at other rentals. The apartment gets very warm in the afternoon. We thought there might be AC but couldn’t find directions for anything and decided in the end to just work around it. These issues were annoying but can hopefully be resolved by the property manager who seemed to really be trying. Victoria is beautiful to visit, and this unit would be a great place to stay if some of the issues are smoothed out. There is a pub directly downstairs that is open until 10 nightly and the water taxis are beeping into the evening. We enjoyed that but others should know it isn’t a quiet setting. All in all, this could be a fantastic rental with better logistics and communication!

Would stay again!

We had an excellent time at this property during our stay. The location was better than expected, with beautiful views of the water. We would certainly stay here again if we are ever back in Victoria.

Harbor view condo

Aman was very helpful with directions or spots to eat or sites to see. We had a fantastic time in a beautiful spot. Cer ly enjoyed her stay and would love to have the same place next time we came.

Beautiful waterside 2nd story condo

Very nice one bedroom unit with King pull out sofa - great for our family of four. Some ongoing construction in the area made it somewhat noisier during the day. Pub down below is no problem and has great food. Access to downtown Victoria is superb. Parking garage nearby as well as roadside parking

What a great VRBO with a view

This is one of the best vacation rentals we have stayed in. The pictures do not do it justice. It had a very comfortable king size bed, a big bathroom with a deep tub, a large living room and fully equipped kitchen. Best of all was the view. An unobstructed view of the inner harbor from a wall full of windows. Very quiet and peaceful and only a few blocks from downtown Victoria and Chinatown. The apartment is very tastefully decorated with some eclectic art, a small dining table, a comfortable easy chair and a large couch and a desk with a rolling desk chair. The building is a little older, which is good because it has character. It is only five stories tall. It is unlike a lot of the high rise apartments/condos being built across the harbor which we checked out before choosing this rental and which seemed to be sterile by comparison. The pub on the ground floor was very quiet and had good food. The rental is right over the dock where the water taxis stay at night and there was never any noise. Plus kayak rentals right at that dock. Aman, the manager, was fantastic. He responded to any questions within an hour both before we got there and when we were in the apartment. Full, strong wifi and a large flat screen tv with lots of channels. We could not have been happier.

Not able to access balcony or rooftop area

The apartment was quite nice. Although the cleaner could have been more thorough when dusting. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen was nicely fitted out. Balcony was not useable due to construction on balconies which should be finished at the end of May. We were not given a key to the stairwell so we were not able to use rooftop area. Good stay other than that.

CONVENIENT LOCATION
