Magical!

Thoroughly enjoyed our trip! A little bit out of town, but that was the beauty of it! Quiet and secluded, we felt like the only two people on earth! The screened in bedroom gave all of the comforts of home with the majestic serenity of camping! Wonderful hosts as well! Will definitely stay again!

Rustic Experience

When we booked this cabin we were in need to get away. This was a perfect spot for relaxation. Creekside was a great spot in the woods with just enough.

Perfect forest getaway

I can't say enough great things about this property. The cabin was spotless, which was amazing for being in the middle of the woods. There was plenty of firewood that was even covered with a tarp so we were able to have a nice fire even though we checked in the day after it had rained. The outdoor bedroom was easily one of the best experiences. It made my husband and I want to wake up in our own little cabin every morning. We especially appreciated that there was a fan for the nights where it was a little more humid due to the rain. We even got to have our own black bear experience one night where they decided to make our trashcan their dinner. Luckily Wayne and Emily were super nice and understanding and were able to retrieve our trashcan for us! We can't wait to come back and enjoy this perfect little cabin sometime soon!

Creekside

Small quaint cabin. We used the outside fire pit with plenty of wood and kindling. Really enjoyed sleeping on screened porch. First night in mid 50's, Second night in upper 30's. Very comfortable both nights. The owner came by to welcome us when we arrived. I would deffiently stay there again.

Secluded and back to nature

This was an awesome stay. Absolutely loved the screened in porch, best sleep ever. If you’re looking to get away from technology and get back to nature this is the place! Enjoyed morning coffee, nights by the fire, journaling in the morning and the constant beautiful sounds of the stream. Thank you for a beautiful simple cabin stay 💚

Perfect escape

Everything in Creekside cabin was completely as advertised. I was really relieved that oak the larger cabin up on the hill was vacant for out stay. That made it feel a lot more private and hidden. The bed was super comfy and the kitchen was sparse but well equipped. Would definitely recommend to friends and stay again.

Awesome

Absolutely loved our stay! Cabin was awesome for a couples getaway. Only complaint is instructions/directions to get to the cabin. After finally getting in touch with Wayne, we were finally able to find the cabin. We will definitely want to stay here again in the future

Little Cabin in the Woods

The sleeping porch was the best part. It was peaceful, the property owners were so helpful and responded to all our needs. They are wonderful! The cabin was clean and cozy. We wish we could have stayed longer. It's out in the woods and great for a getaway.

Really Nice

I took a solo trip and really enjoyed it! The location is top notch, especially in the fall. The interior of the cabin is definitely rustic as stated and the couch was not the best, but I thought the linens and beds were nice (especially the outdoor bed). Everything I needed was there. Overall, the space was nice and cozy and a good place to lay my head at night. I had a hiccup getting to the property because the instructions were accidentally not sent, but the property managers were really responsive and so friendly. In addition, they left firewood and fire starters which was a welcomed gesture! There is another cabin not at all too far away, so if folks are there and are rowdy, you'll hear them. I personally didn't mind a little noise because I was alone and it wasn't disruptive. But I can see how a couple or family may not want that if their goal is absolute privacy and tranquility. All in all, I would definitely stay here again. It was a really nice mini vacation.

Kind of disappointed

I rented this through airbnb and the location was absolutely beautiful we saw a family of bears the first night ! What I am disappointed in is that there was a horrible smell in the cabin and we did some searching and there was 2 dead mice inside the couch covered in maggots. We got rid of the mice and maggots and cleaned it, there was some type of poop all upstairs by the head area by the bed, it just seemed like no one had been there in a while or cleaned it , we slept outside both nights due to the animal poop all inside the house. I tried to contact the guest contant Wayne yesterday and he ignored me . I was very unhappy w that situation .

great getaway!

This cabin was perfect for a long weekend getaway in the woods with my husband and dog! We loved sleeping in the screened in bedroom with the sound of the stream. It was chilly, but we were prepared and brought extra blankets, which I would definitely recommend for the fall. The hosts were great and made sure we had everything we needed, including plenty of firewood and propane for the grill. This is definitely a "rustic" cabin though, which we loved but make sure you are prepared for no heat and quirky plumbing. We would definitely stay here again!

Great cabin for 2 middle aged people who have no agenda.

The cabin was just as the pictures represent on the site. The beauty and the quiet solitude was just what needed. The enclosed screened in porch/bedroom was perfect for sleeping as you could hear the creek and nature as you drifted off to sleep. The owners Emily & Wayne (Greystone) were delightful to communicate with and we would stay here again.

Mom & Daughter in the Mountains

My daughter and I had to postpone our annual spring break adventure due to COVID-19, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise. We changed our reservation to late July and the location to Creekside Cabin. It's a quaint little cabin and the main bedroom being on a 30sided screens summer porch was fabulous! It was amazing to fall asleep each night to the nocturnal sound so of the forest and to enjoy the sound and smell of the mountain rain. We had a glitch the first night when the shower barely worked and we had no gas for the grill. I sent a text and voicemail to the owners, Wayne and Emily Rice. Wayne came out the next morning and took care of everything. By the time we returned from the day's hiking adventures, the shower worked well, there was gas for the grill, and there was more firewood by the fire ring. The Rice's also gave us the option of moving to another cabin up the hill which we looked at, but we didn't want to give up the bedroom on the summer porch. Note on kitchen amenities: There is a very small older model microwave, a 2-burner cooktop, but NO OVEN. However, outside there is a gas grill and a charcoal grill--bring your own charcoal. We put our old Girl Scout skills to work and we were able to use the grill as an oven using a foil brownie pan and foil cover. We had a great time! We have already recommended this cabin to several friends and we are considering returning fro next year's mother-daughter annual adventure.

As soon as I step onto the property I feel a noticeable calm and peace. This is about as relaxing as a vacation can be. I'd love to spend an entire season here. In thankful for the willingness of the owners to share their piece of paradise.

Rustic but comfy

Great place, once we settled in. We arrived during a rainy spell, so the fire pit area and other outside areas couldn't be used, but we made the inside very comfy. We did have to sweep up some cobwebs, but we we saw very few bugs inside and slept very well. We used the loft bed and the "outside" bed. We slept great on each. It's soooo peaceful there in the screened room. And the sound of the stream was fantastic. The screened porch does a GREAT job of keeping bugs outside. We didn't use the deck because of rain. We used the grill since the firepit couldn't be used either. We would have liked a better pot, with a lid, but we had mostly everything we needed in the kitchen. The road is a bit treacherous, but fun. We made one trip into the Walmart to get supplies and made a couple trips into Asheville. Great location for feeling away from everything, while having the luxury of a city nearby. And the other unit on site was far enough away to allow us COMPLETE privacy, We'll definitely return.
