Visit Gulf Afterdune Delight Cape San Blas Beach House

Our home is located on the South End of the Cape at the end of a dead end street with plenty of parking. This is a great place for kids to ride bikes.
Ground Floor: Ground floor entry. Recreation room with ping pong table, 50" HDTV, mini refrigerator and wet bar. Bunk room with four bunks, individual lighting for each bunk and a 32" HDTV. Pool view bedroom with king size bed, 32" HDTV and attached shared bathroom. Bathroom with double vessel sinks, granite counter tops and walk in tile shower with sliding glass door. Direct access to fenced in private pool area with enclosed outdoor shower from the recreation room.
Second floor: Spacious, open living room, kitchen and dining area. Gulf views while you enjoy preparing dinner or relaxing after a day on the beach. Fireplace and 55" HDTV can be enjoyed from the living room, kitchen and dining area. Large kitchen with granite counter tops and bar seating for three. The kitchen is also equipped with double oven, ice maker and dishwasher. Walk in pantry to store all your supplies for your beach stay. Beach view bedroom with queen size bed and 32" HDTV. Bathroom with granite counter top and walk in glass tile shower with glass door. Walk out the sliding door from the kitchen to the screened in porch with comfortable seating and gas grill. A stairway leads from the screened in porch to the private pool area and the private beach boardwalk.
Third floor:Gulf front master suite with king bed, 49" HDTV, and enormous deck overlooking the gulf. Private master bathroom with double vessel sinks, granite counter tops, walk in tile shower with glass door and jacuzzi tub. Two additional bedrooms, each with a queen size bed and 32" HDTV. The two queen size bedrooms share a large full bathroom with double vessel sinks, granite counter tops, and jacuzzi tub/tile shower combo with sliding glass doors.
Outdoor: Private heated pool with covered patio area for hot afternoons. Pool heat is an additional charge ($50 per day maximum, but fee may be seasonally lowered). Outdoor shower for convenience after a day on the beach. And, a private boardwalk that leads to the beautiful Gulf of Mexico.

Wonderful Spring Break!

Our home away from home

Our family of ten (parents, adult kids and grandkids) love staying here. We enjoy the privacy, close beach access, and private pool. Looking forward to many more years of vacations in this lovely home.

Nice place for family vacation

This house is a great size. It gives everyone privacy while having room enough for everyone to join together. The pool was really nice to have. The nice beach chairs and beach towels are a plus plus.

Cape San Blas

The property was excellent! The house was very clean and the kitchen was fully stocked. The property owner was always available and answered all our questions in a sufficient time frame. The pool was great. It was so refreshing after a day at the beach. Beach chairs were furnished and lots of other beach toys if you needed them. We are already planning to return to this home next year!

Incredible experience!

We had an incredible experience at this house. The house was a great size, set up with care and thoughtfulness and had a calm beautiful feeling. The home owners set us up for a great time with the many amenities they provided such as beach and pool paraphernalia, a ping pong table, puzzles , games, comfortable outdoor seating (even a hammock swing) and the pool itself! The walk down to the beach was beautiful and we had so much privacy on this stretch of beach. Just what we all needed! The owners were very responsive and pleasant. We highly recommend staying in this home and look forward to hopefully returning!

Great getaway with friends for a long weekend!

We had a great time here. The house is beautiful. Stocked with plenty of beach toys and chairs. Plenty of room for multiple families to stay in one place. One tip: if you plan on staying longer than a few days bring extra toilet paper, paper towels, and garbage bags! With a large group we ran out with what was provided at the end of our stay.

Inaugural Family Vacation

This was our first family vacation with children and grandchildren. It was fantastic, this property had everything we needed. Between the ping pong table, the pool and the beach everyone was occupied and having a blast. The house was very clean and well appointed and the owner responded promptly if any concerns arose.

Just what we needed

Our family trip in October at this location was everything we hoped it would be. The views from this property are amazing and the house is comfortable and has everything you need including beach towels and beach chairs. We enjoyed some beach days but the heated pool was a life saver when the double-red flags prohibited ocean swimming. The owners have great communication and we highly recommend this property.

Great memories

The house was fantastic. Lots of room everywhere. Kitchen, livingroom, bedrooms. The pool was a plus. water was just right. The beach was great. Fishing and finding scallops was also great. Had a Great seafood dinner our last night. Jennifer the Host was a pleasure to work with. We hope to rent this house again.

Relaxing stay at Cape San Blas

Group of 10 with four parents, two adult children and four teens. Plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably. The house was very clean with a great view of the gulf. Easy short walk down the boardwalk to the beach. We were there first week of August and very few others on the beach. Very close to federally protected land also helped with having plenty of room to spread out on the beach. Lots of small shops and good places to eat in town just a short drive away. Tons of seashells if you're into that. Only downside since this is on the southern side of the cape, the water isn't the bright blue color you'll see if you are on the western part of the cape. If you're looking to get away from the crowds and hustle/bustle, we highly recommend Cape San Blas.

Beautiful well equipt spacious home.

Our stay was wonderful. The house had everything we needed. Plenty of utensils, crock pot, blender, pots and pans. The provided beach towls were great. The beach was pretty and spacious, not overly crowded. The water was murkier then i had hope during our visit but i understNd this varios and recent heavy storms im sure influenced run off. Fathr up the tip of the cape things were much clearer, but again ive read its variable. The boardwalk to the beach is lenghy and has some steps and no guardrails. It wasnt so much a problem for us but older individuals with stability issues or wild small childen coukd have a hard time. The onsite pool was just enough to float and play in if it was too cold or windy to be at the surf. We had several red flag days so we made great use of it. Overall a greathouse withgreat amenities. Owners were very responsive to the fw questions we had.

Recommend rain or shine

The house was the perfect location for a long weekend. It is conveniently located between PSJ and the state park. We did not get to scallop as much as we had planned due to the weather. However, there was plenty of space for 11 adults to congregate without feeling cramped, even on a rainy day. The porch on the second floor was a favorite spot for everyone. With several cooks in the group the well stocked kitchen was appreciated. I was concerned about the distance from the house to the beach but it was not bad at all. Lots of flowering plants and a marsh area along the path. I recommend bringing bug spray if you plan to spend a lot of time around the pool area or in the front of the house due to mosquitos. However, they were not an issue on the path to the beach or at the beach itself. The beach itself is full of shells and secluded. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us we had a blast.

Great House with Plenty of Room

First let me just say that Jennifer and Doug are very responsive. Anytime I had a question, they responded in less than an hour typically which was very much appreciated. The home is large and roomy - There were 14 of us and we never felt like we were on top of each other. The well equipped kitchen made preparing all our meals simple. While we all brought our own beach chairs & equipment, it was not necessary since they literally provide everything. Even though the walk to the beach was long, it wasn't an issue for us. The house is at the end of a very quiet cul-de-sac with more than enough parking (we actually trailered my brother in laws side by side vehicle) including a trailer which was nice. The only issue we had which is the only reason the house didn't get an all 5 star rating is the 2 hot water heaters just could not keep up with all 14 of us. I reached out to report the issue and Doug was prompt to respond offering some tips & tricks to ensuring hot water which we tried but sadly only about 1/2 of us got hot showers each day. Personally, out of the 6 days we were there, I only had one HOT shower the entire week. Other than that the place is great. I'm confident the hot water issue can be resolved and would definitely rent this home again.

Great family vacay

We were very impressed with all of our accommodations and the size of the house. It was great to have the kids ( 6 boys -ages 11-22) on the lower level and the adults on the other 2 levels of the house. Plenty of room for the 14 of us. Kitchen well stocked with everything you needed. Huge pantry for storage. Had an issue with the ice maker and the owners were easy to contact and have problem resolved quickly. The pool was very relaxing. The negatives we have are the view from the house to the beach. There is so much tree growth (between the house and the beach and sand dunes) that you can not see the beach (only water) The website picture is very misleading in that aspect of the greenery and there are now houses being built on either side of this house. The walk to the beach (on the wooden walkway) took about 4 minutes or longer -depending on what you were carrying out)We would return to this house to visit only but not for the view. We are use to being able to see our family on the beach and playing in the ocean (from the house). Can not have everything staying here.

Great location, fair accommodations, unfair owner

Love this part of Florida and will return but unfortunately not to this house. It is a great house that would be great with some improved hospitality and finishes. House was not ready at 5pm for check in. Boardwalk to beach is about 300 yards, no railing, and slightly uneven(not ideal for little kids or mobility issues), dishwasher racks don’t roll, laundry is loud and slow, pool is small but fine for just soaking, beds are not the best, bring your own pillows. Be sure to bring all supplies(very little tp, trash bags, laundry soap, etc.) Check your lengthy check out list very carefully. On top off the cleaning fee, we were charged full security deposit for leaving a couple of bags of trash in the kitchen that did not fit in the outside garbage(which instructions also said that trash can lids must close due to bears). Owner also complained of stains/ scuffs but produced no evidence. Our group has rented for 12 summers and never been had the deposit held. Unreasonable in my opinion and as another review said, seems like they are just out to keep the deposit. Great house but host did not make the overall vacation enjoyable and relaxing

Family thanksgiving at the beach

This house was fabulous!!very clean, comfy beds and a well appointed kitchen!the heated pool was a huge hit with the kids . The house is in a quiet area, and was perfect for our family!we enjoyed it very much and will return again!!owners are very quick with responses and accommodating to our needs!

Wonderful family vacation

Property was extremely spacious. Great for multi family members. The grandkids loved the pool. We did have it heated which made it very nice. Beautiful walk down the boardwalk to the beach. We even spotted an owl one day. Beach is great for walking as it is large and flat. We also had a bonfire and made s’mores one night. Super fun place. Garage is well stocked with chairs and plenty of beach toys. Loved having beach towels provided. Kitchen is very well stocked with our large group we only went out to eat once it was a great place to cook. Loved having the beverage frig in the basement for drinks. Large pantry was super convenient as well. Indian Pass Raw Bar was a must place to visit. Wonderful food. Our first time to cape San Blas but it will not be our last.

Perfect family vacation beach house

This beach house in Cape San Blas was wonderful! Everything was so clean, the kitchen was stocked with every pot, pan, and utensil we needed, the bedrooms and bathrooms were spotless also. We enjoyed the private pool and walkway to the beach. It was so nice to be able to have a campfire on the beach too. This house and location does not disappoint and is definitely with it!

What makes this property unique

The most striking feature of our home is the view from the living room and kitchen. The bedroom views are pretty terrific, too. But, we were sold when we first walked into the living room and had sweeping views of the gulf. We have spent a great deal of time making this home ours - adding a recreation room, bunk room and pool area.
